fun fact: There exists two pieces of concept art for an arctic "Crested Reaper" and "Ice Breaker (Reefback)." The Crested Reaper would have been a smaller, but smarter, orca-sized relative to its warmer water cousins that possessed thin, Chelicerate-like mandibles and used its head crest to knock surface prey into the water. The Ice Breaker was a Reefback variant that had a forward-facing crest that made it look like an Iceberg, and it would use its front weight to rise up and smash surface ice underneath it.
That's because the lilly pad biome was originally supposed to be in the first game and it clearly doesn't match the theme of BZ but oh well they put it in anyway
I personally like to spawn a chelicerate (don’t know if I spelled it right) on the depths of the lily pad biomes. I just like the feeling that danger is everywhere.
3:09 honestly the reefback should be in below zero, cuz if you think about it the reefback is the base game equivalent to whales, and whales like the blue whale for eg, will mainly stay in saltwater but can occasionally be found in antarctica. however, those antarctic blue whales are just a diff variant of the blue whale. but so is the reefback shown in the video. its a diff variation of the regular reefback. so antarctic reefback. it could very well fit in.
Creatures from the first game were spawnable in early versions. And I think some were even used as substitute creatures in certain areas. It would make sense if they were left in for a while to test collision.
5:06 Imagine if reapers were like sand sharks and popped out of the ground when you got too close. That would be terrifying and it would definitely add a little bit more horror because you wouldn't know where they are gonna come from.
I can picture it buried under the sand vertically with its mandibles being surfaced like some spiky rocks or bones amd as you get closer the reaper jumpscares the player
I'm not exactly sure if the Seamoth would be able to function as a spacecraft since its purpose for the Aurora's mission was to search this uncharted ocean planet for a missing ship and its crew which would require submersible equipment.
It's like among us, we can't escape it, it's everywhere. But in this mod it's worse... Because the thing you can't escape is the reaper who haunt our dreams😂 I really like this videos about mods, they're pretty amazing 👍
Yeah but you didn’t spawn the scariest Subnautica creature, the Warper. I actually wonder what happened to the Warpers, there’s no kharaa in Below Zero except for the Frozen Leviathan but surely they’d still be hanging around as a passive mob.
Might have only been deployed at the crater and not at the ice sheet. Unlikely those robots would have survived the void. Ghost Reapers would have destroyed them.
@@150booyadragon Except the Architects did have bases in the ice sheet so I can’t imagine them not releasing Warpers or a cold weather equivalent into the waters there since kharaa had spread across the entire world.
Fun Fact:While the PDA says that Sea Dragon Leviathans hunt reapears, 9 times out of 10 if you put a Sea Dragon against a Reaper the Reaper will win, meaning that the reaper is THE predetor, because the sea emperor isnt alive
I'd love if in Subnautica 3 they brought in ALL of the creatures into a certain area unless they go with a completely new area like deep sea, Crushed Depth caves or something.
Someone’s probably said this before, but my assumption is the devs don’t want the new creatures in the old game since it’d be ripping assets. They probably care a bit less about the first subnautica’s assets being ripped due to the age, and how it probably doesn’t make too much in sales anymore. Plus old creature in new game focuses attention on new game, so more money. Essentially it boils down to incentivizing the old fans to get below zero, rather than have the old fans feel like they’re not missing out on content if they just install a mod a watch a story walkthrough. While they probably love subnautica, the devs are still a business that needs to make money to continue making great games.
My headphones weren’t working so i had to use some weird bluetooth headphones for a few months but then they stopped working so I tried the headphones again and played this video at around the 1 minute mark and the first thing I hear is the last bacon saying “it works”. Imagine you’re in the void of below zero and then a reaper leviathan comes out from the depths and starts chasing you. That would be a cool and scary idea for a new mod or we could do it with the mod that adds subnautica creatures into below zero if they make it that the creatures can chase the player or attack the player and other creatures.
The teleport for the recall mod for the Seamoth can easily just have the Warper's warping effect placed in front of the vehicle that way it doesn't look like it's just popping out and into existence like the video showed. Edit: 9:48 to 9:56 you can literally make that a short and people would probably die laughing.
That Reaper has gone to Sector Zero with its minions, its the boss of the reapers mafia and wants to kill Marguerit (because she killed its little brother sent on a "simple" rescue mission)
I had a horrable dream about subnoutica i was swimming in the abyss during the day time when i looked down and saw what looked like a mix between a shadow laviathan and a sand shark but it was thr size of the guardian leviathan and it was 100% silent and it was chargeing at me i quickly swam back to my cyclops and enterd throught the top hatch for some reason and the creature rammed the bottom sending me flying and i hit my head on the ceiling and fell when i got up and the cyclops alarm was going off and then the lights went out and water was filling the cyclops so i closed the big hatch and the one on the ladder i then ran to the helm (steering wheel) set the cyclops to ahead flank and turned the cyclops hard to port (left) and tried to dispatch a flare but it was out so i checked the cameras and the creature was nowhere i then looked throught the front and saw it aproching at full speed and it rammed the frount befor i could turn on the shield on i flew back a few feet as the cyclops said hull integrity critical i then got up to realize that the glass was cracking i looked around and saw no escape i then saw the engine was in critical condition so i opend the big hatch and water came rushing in i pulled myself in as the cyclops said hull integrity failure imminent abandon ship and swam to the my seamoth i got in and quickly headed tword the island i looked at the live camera footage behind the seamoth and saw the creature swimming tword me then the cyclops exsploded damaging the creature and it retreated i got to the island and was jumping for joy i than woke up in the cyclops hearing the alarm and the countdown was at 2 i said crap as the cyclops blew up and then i woke up for real happy it was just a dream

seamoth basketball. use the habitat builder to build a hoop above the water. get in your seamoth. if you're fast enough, your seamoth will go flying through the air after breaking the surface. the goal is to jump it through the hoop.
The seamoth would most likely behave this way in regular Sci-Fi Alterra Age. The description of the Seamoth tells us it was made for sea and space. If it’s meant for space, why not air? Lol

Arctic Sea Dragon: Roams in the deepest deepest sections of crystal caves, the arctic caves (1000-1500m). this cave system hold a huge sector in which this creature roams. Exceeding 135M in length, it is the biggest creature in sector zero. It often comes up into the main crystal caves to hunt it's prey ( Shadow Leviathans) It has 2 claw like mandibles on it's cheeks (closely related to crabsnake's mandibles) the yet again, same as the crabsnake locks it's prey in place and it's real jaw comes out and eats the prey. 66% Sea-Dragon 34% Crabsnake

They used to have glitched collisions and they would literally do as you described. It was awful.

Hmm, How about the third Subnautica is on another shallow sector in planet 4546B but instead fire themed or have it on a continent on 4546B and have an empasis on land exploration or even an archipelago. May all three.

Arctic Sea Dragon: Roams in the deepest deepest sections of crystal caves, the arctic caves (1000-1500m). this cave system hold a huge sector in which this creature roams. Exceeding 135M in length, it is the biggest creature in sector zero.
It often comes up into the main crystal caves to hunt it's prey ( Shadow Leviathans) It has 2 claw like mandibles on it's cheeks (closely related to crabsnake's mandibles) the yet again, same as the crabsnake locks it's prey in place and it's real jaw comes out and eats the prey.
