Oh man, you’ve got a great amp there. I love mine - best amp I’ve ever had! It goes without saying that the lead channel sounds amazing, but I love the crunch channel too which can sound like a ballsy roaring Marshall. Of course, the one flaw with the amp is the volume drop between the clean and crunch modes and the fact that they’re not footswitchable, so I tend to run it on crunch with the gain on 3 for clean / edge of breakup and then boost it with a pedal for more drive.
Interesting to see the guts of the thing, I’ve never seen inside one before so thanks for that.
Be interesting to hear you compare it to that EVH Stealth, which is kind of a descendant of it.
Anyway… I hope you enjoy the SLO as much as I enjoy mine!

Interesting amp that keeps growing on me :-) I like it better when I’m trying to play high gain stuff, lol. It can do it, but I prefer Marshall tones for the grit. Killer crunch, killer overdrive, and amazing dynamics… thick and honest. And if it breaks I think I could fix it unlike any Marshall I have.

hi, you really didn't show how to bias, im assuming the black bias vr12 pot one way turned or the other sets the bias for both tubes? and what if you wanted to change the 5881 to 6l6 re bias would be the same values? Thanks

hotter bias for me equals hiss and fizz, cooler bias equals smooth and more articulate, boogies have fixed cold bias not adjustable and love it. makes tube changes easy with no bias adjustment needed.

This is actually a quite sophisticated PCB, I mean for the price I would prefer point to point, but if there is PCB´s this sophisticated then I think I would be ok with it, but still its not point to point, even though I would be ok with PCB, even if its not point to point. Thanks.. :D

I hear you but like you said, these are nice. The Freidman’s are nice like this too, a guy could actually have a chance at diagnosing a problem and working on it.
