Excellent design of the outer defenses, but there should be a keep inside. If there's not enough space, you can join it with the outer walls.

Its all about collecting lots of small tecniques in building and then mashing them together if your on creative go through each item and try to find a decorative idea for it

Pretty sure that if you wanted to make your walls blast resistant, just use a layer of waterlogged stairs for the outer portion. Yeah, this means your walls have to be wider in order keep that water from spreading inside the fortress, but it should keep explosions of any kind at bay. You'd probably want to submerge a moat around your base anyway to prevent people/mobs from blowing up the dirt and just going under the wall though.

@Nerd Gaming If you're going to use obsidian, just build the whole thing out of it. Besides, putting obsidian behind a stone wall doesn't protect the stone wall from being destroyed. That's the point of using waterlogged stairs for the outer wall -- you get to keep your normal stone aesthetic while making it effectively blast proof.
@@Jamin_222 2 reasons:
1- if you have fire tick on, it will burn your wooden things within a certain range of the moat
2- you can't lava log blocks, it won't create source blocks when your draw bridge goes down, and I don't believe it soaks blast damage to blocks like water
Also, it's very fast and easy to pour water on lava. Takes much longer to put lava on water and is much riskier
@@riuphane but the outside of the build is made of bricks, lava would soaks blast damage
also, the lava would flow to the middle

One additional hack: make the moat deeper and put magma all along the bottom. This will pull all the mobs/invaders to the bottom to burn and/or drown
Or put water plus signs then magma

The directions for the redstone could be clearer. I tried building this drawbridge as a gateway for one of my villages with the dimensions altered slightly. Well things just a bit. Everytime the switch was thrown, the bridge raised and lowered three times. Why? How do I fix it? I fixed it so that it no longer goes up and down three times in a row but now it goes up and down once. Is there any way to make it go up and down just once like it is supposed to? Oh, and while I'm at it, how about putting a switch on the other side of the bridge so you can let yourself in at night?
Mine is doing this as well... I'm thinking this is either pc or Java bc this Redstone bridge doesn't work on XBox

i,m using iron blocks for my castle to make a strong white castle
iron blocks is my favorite block b,cause i used it as “white bricks” of my house
i build this iron version of this castle at mooshroom biome, and wooden versions in other biomes like “jungle wood for jungle biomes”, or “mangrove wood for mangrove swamp biomes”, then use fence in same wood variant as replacement for iron bars. i make a “dinnerbone” version of my iron castle on soul sand valley
if anyone clicks flint and steel on your wooden castles, it will get destroyed
