We had a bonded pair of cats, Kindle mates. When we would take one to be groomed the other cat would not recognize him when he came back and would hiss at him. Same thing with the vet visit, he would come home smelling like the vet and she didn't like that smell! When he was 5 years old he fell over and howled. He hadn't passed any urine in a day or two. He needed a perianal urethrostomy, a total rearrangement of his plumbing. A sex change. We lost his sister just before last Christmas. He just turned 20. He's still a little leaky and he might be kinda deaf, but he is in charge here!
