If they held a contest for Monarch with the best smile, Margrethe II would win easily. She has the warmest expression of any monarch anywhere. She always looks like the proud mother and not just of her family but the proud mother of her nation.
The Queen isn't only beautiful and regal even at her age. She is always smiling and has a really very kind and wise aura. Denmark is very lucky indeed for she is a gem in every way
Sky Watcher She is! We are so proud of her. She really loves her country and her people. She once said in an interview, that the day she was crowned, she was so nervous and sad, because her father, the king, had died and she knew her life would never be the same, but when she stepped out on the balcony to greet the people, there was no doubt in her mind that she was loved and supported by the people!

There is a warmth and natural tactile affection shown in this royal family that you just don't see with the Brits. Margrethe was physically and publicly affectionate and playful with her kids and still managed to be taken seriously as monarch. Elizabeth was a fine person/queen noted for her stoic dedication to her "duty" but part of her "duty" was to parent the next monarch to be an emotionally healthy human being. I respect her but sadly think she failed as a parent.
Prince Michael of Greece has said that the northern royal families use English amongst themselves, and the southern ones French. The Danish are in between because the late Prince Henrik was born a Frenchman.
I’ve often wondered what the Scandinavian’s speak amongst each other. English would be the most sensible. My ignorance of Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finnish is a fact, are the languages similar in any way? I’d be interested to know.
@@juliehock6059 well Danish, Swedish and Norwegian are VERY similar. I myself am from Denmark and I understand almost 90% of all Norwegian, Swedish is a bit harder for me personally.
