    Yes, you're correct, there are two ways to spell it (typically the US uses the "a" version and England/Canada employ the "e" spelling). However, the official spelling for OSU is and always has been "gray."

    The excuse is that Michigan was untouchable when collegiate football first began, and they took a huge lead.

    Do you remember Tate Forcier and Steven Threet? Those buffoons were top recruits as well-and if I remember right Forcier threw 4 ints against us and was pulled to avoid any further embarassement.If you look back at the best teams Michigan ever had the majority of their best players were from Ohio.Two of the three Heisman's were from Ohio and their legendary coach is an OSU alumni and learned everything from Woody Hayes.Watch the 1973 10-10 tie game and watch the players introductions

    Not only that...1st in all-time wins, 1st in winning percentage, 1st (and only) university to have a President (Gerald Ford) play for their team ('33 & '34 National Title winners too), 1st in conference titles in the Big Ten. Do you see a pattern here? They have a habit of being 1st in everything, including losing to App State. 1st time top #5 A.P. team lost to a FCS opponent.

  • @beric1977

    Yes, is considered a tradition for Michigan. Very few programs can offer that same type of history and TRADITION. The reason why it is considered a tradition for the Michigan program, is because they were the "first" for many other programs. First script Ohio, first to teach Notre Dame, first to win the Rose Bowl and against a Pac-12 school in Stanford, first Big Ten team to dominate Southern Cal, list goes on and on. I'm not a Michigan supporter. Do you not read?

  • @OSUkid23
    @OSUkid23 11 років тому

    Obviously I didn't research, yet the reason I gave for Michigan's lead was the better one. The colonists escaped British power, what the hell does a British accent have to do with any of it? I could say that Ohio State has better traditions due to the Buckeye leaves and gold pants.

    How else do you expect Ohio State fans to act going into the biggest rivalry in sports. I think I said it before, we take our football seriously in Columbus. You can't stop someone who is fucked up from liking a team. They choose their path, and unfortunately, they decide to represent Ohio State.

  • @beric1977

    Listen facts are facts. They have more wins, more championships, a better stadium, better academics, better helmets, better tradition. Ohio State is no slouch, they are good with football obviously and good in academics, and put more athletes in the NFL, but they are not up to par with Michigan on everything else. So you can try using specific dates or whatever you feel makes you sleep better at night, but the facts don't lie.

    My bad, I made a typo. Fans who don't support a team normally don't get such a boner over facts. Princeton hasn't won a National Championship since 1950, but they still have the most. PRINCETON IS THE BEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM EVER WHOOOOOOOO

  • @OSUkid23
    @OSUkid23 11 років тому

    My comment on Ohio State Michigan refers to the first two videos. Did you not get my "you can't stop someone who is fucked up from liking a team"? Whats the point of hating on the football team if all you hate is the fans.

    Seriously, find me another program with that many accomplishments and history in college football, with that type of education and huge alumni base that helps it's students (especially networking), mixed with a stadium that has 112,000 - 114,000 fans. I'll help you out. There isn't. USC doesn't, Texas doesn't, ND doesn't, Bama doesn't, Oklahoma doesn't, Florida doesn't, FSU doesn't. Not one has all of those combined.

    You read it correctly, yet you still questioned why I didn't refer to the latter of your examples. Eh, when you have the biggest fan base in the country it attracts those people, I guess. Troy Smith was actually punished for his shit, and Clarett has turned his life around. I'm glad Urban has taken account of the players who have broken rules, so far.

    Ummm no shit fella, it's an Ohio State tradition, but Michigan GAVE it to you to use. That also bumps up Michigan, just like the Notre Dame teaching. Also, I'm not blinded by affiliation. I'm not a Michigan or Ohio State fan. I'm a college football fan. I grew up in a state that didn't have premier college football, so I never had a specific "team".

    A tradition is something that is passed down from generation to generation. While Michigan is well-known for starting Script Ohio and the Notre Dame teaching, it is not considered a tradition. I'm guessing you're a Michigan "supporter," since all your posts are pro-Michigan.

  • @OSUkid23
    @OSUkid23 11 років тому

    Look up the definition of tradition. Then make your point. You say you're not a Michigan supporter, then why do you brag about Michigan's accomplishments? Its as if you hate Ohio State so much that you need Michigan, even though you claim you're not a fan, which is very likely. Being first isn't exactly a mind-boggling accomplishment. It just mean you were started before everything else. Like the old childhood saying goes, "first is the worst."

  • @beric1977
    @beric1977 11 років тому

    And who fucking cares that they have been around longer. Other schools have been around a long time too and they are not even close. On top of that, Michigan went, what...60yrs without a national title, and a conference titles since 2003. What's your excuse now for not surpassing them in some aspect?

  • @beric1977
    @beric1977 11 років тому

    LOL your comment only accounts for 1 youtube video. What about Casey Anthony? What about the guy on "To Catch a Predator"? The list is damn near endless, dude. It's not Ohio State's fault, but unfortunately there is just plain trashy people associated with this university. It's sad, because it could be so much more than it already is, and it is already upper echelon.

  • @OSUkid23
    @OSUkid23 11 років тому

    Script Ohio isn't even a Michigan tradition... Way to be hypocritical, and tell me that I'm blinded by affiliation, while you do the same thing.

    Also, I wasn't aware broken legs are fatal. Or QBs and RBs are the only positions that matter.
