As someone who lived in Philly for 14 years, there are parts of Philly you don't go to at night. And then there's Chester, where you never go, ever. I once had to take a detour off I95 at 2am through Chester and it's the most afraid for my safety I've ever been. It's sad that people are forced to live in such unsafe and dilapidated places, we as a country are really failing so many people.

Most of the U.S. doesn't even know places like this exist. Forgotten towns and neighborhoods. It's really sad.

ALL of Chester is a "worst area". As bad as Kensington, if that's even possible.

Once a great and important city. PA's first city.
