I love how I always find something new in your videos that I never would have thought of, like a bench cookie dispenser, that is amazing! And well, the incredible shelf project, but I love to find things that are secondary to the main topic of the video
April, you are so talented! You have inspired so many women to just get up and do what makes them happy. Woodworking isn't just for men. I get stuck worrying that no one will like what I make, but it's not about what others think. it's about enjoying what you are doing. LOVE RESPECT KINDNESS ONLY MATTERS! Spread IT!
Hey April love the eraser trick with the tape, I gotta try it sometime... But a cool tip I like to use the most and is most convenient is the roll of tape itself, just use the whole roll to slide across the edge thats taped.. It usually works out everytime and is quick , easy and already in ur hand or near by.
Tyvek tape is the best thing I’ve found for epoxy pours, no leaks and it comes off super easy with a little heat. Shelves look awesome definitely going to have to build some.
Been fun watching you over the years...You've gotten a lot of skills under your belt now!!! Love to see you take on a timber framing project and build it traditionally...
It's pretty cool how the use of epoxy has saved so many pieces of wood from the fire. A lot of the slices with critter-holes etc wouldn't have been used before but, with epoxy being in common use now, these bits are being used in decorative projects. A win/win. 😁✔👍
I like them all, and especially how the rounded edge shelves look like mushrooms growing out of a tree! Oh! AND the "secret stash drawer" is an awesome idea! Thanks for the video ♡♡♡
Thanks April..you're the best. I have 2 large Black Walnut slabs that I decided to break down for smaller projects. Plenty 'o character defects. Your vid right on time as usual and got one heck of a deal on what is the first Epoxy (TotalBoat) I will have ever used. Got a spot for a shelf arrangement just like this. Love all your content.
That was so cool! I have a bunch of apple, pear and plum stumps and odds and ends that I just couldn't figure out what to do with them. Now I know! 😉 That drill press is a must tool for me to get! I make furniture and things out of reclaimed wood. That tool is going help me tremendously! Thank you so much for sharing your talents! 🙏
Very cool April. I've got a couple small pieces of live edge from a reclaimed wood store thats been sitting around too long. I was going to make them bookends but, shelves....perfect idea. Thanks so much. Please, Be safe - Be well.
I wish I could come down to Texas and take a look at that floating shelf you gave me some great ideas for my living room and my shop but I live in Michigan so it’s been kind of hard for me to come down there when I get some time but thank you for the great ideals that I see in your videos
Are you a Hobbit from the Shire? You make the tools look so huge. That makes you a great sales person, giving the customer a sense of big value. Who can beat that!
Been a subscriber since you started this out of your shop in your old house. Love all your content. So proud of you and all your accomplishments. Have a great day April. God bless you and your family.
@@AisforAwkwardd I don't think they much care what the contents of the structure happen to be. They seem to like perching above things if they they can manage the climb.
Those shelves look so amazing!!!! I do not have any wood that I could turn into Live Edge Shelving currently but am looking around so that I can make some of these for my home. 10/10 again April.
I love everything you do. I am having a building block and can't figure out how to build something and I have limited skills and tools. If you have a moment I would really appreciate hearing from you
I have access to so much drift wood it’s insane. Anyway, I will be doing these shelves. My sister bought a house in Cape May, NJ and these shelves are perfect for a shore house! Thanks
Those look good. I am only just now starting to work with my live edge slabs that I sawed out about half a year ago. I am looking at videos for ideas on using some of my smaller pieces.
April, thank you for this video! It's one of my favorite of the recent ones you've done, probably because I've been designing a project much like this in my mind. Super helpful tip on the rockler hardware. Also, I love the live edge part of your shelves. I may need to consider incorporating live edge into my project as well! Cheers!
I love this project! I am gonna try this one myself one day soon, and I will be down to get one of those stickers when you are able to open! Thanks for sharing
A really well done project April. Excellent tutorial on your procedures. Great piece of walnut. But I hate to see a nice piece like this used on an exterior application. I would have used some construction material painted to match the building. But still, thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay healthy.
Those shelves are beautiful. It's funny, though, how old things become new again. That portable drill press (in a MUCH earlier and far more basic model) was an 'as seen on TV' product in the late 70s. I owned one and it did most of the same things yours did and I believe it was 'only $19.95'. But wait - there's more! I owned one and it was an extremely handy tool, especially when you had to drill a hole in round stock. It was fun to see the concept evolve into the next century.
Great video April ... Thanks a lot of hard work and time goes in.. So well explained and presented.. Please do keep posting such amazing ideas. Warm regards and Best wishes The UnknownManCub 👍😎👨🏭
Have a good look April! And I have one suggestion, I would like to add an introduction to the tools used in the work in the description section. Subscribers from Korea~~^^

So many things to like in this video. That drill press for a handheld drill, the shelf hardware, that walnut. Everything came together nicely.
Hi April. I still use my Port-Align from the 1970s. One of the great inventions. Best regards.
Love this look! I'll use it for a "cat walk" in my house for my cats. They'll love it! Thanks April!!
I told my wife if were ever in Texas it’s a must that we visit ur shop. It’s amazing to c how far u have come within the last 4 years.

Great job April !!! You have are so talented .
Wow, those shelves are so beautiful.
I look forward to Sunday distractions from April... and I learn something too.
the drill guide is just the thing i needed as inspiration to build something for myself, thanks!
Anyone else get a little excited when they search a project and see that April has done a video on it?
That was so cool!

Literally had no desire to watch this video but the support and profit you make from it is all well deserved!
The shelves looked great, as did the secret drawer. Take care and stay safe.
Floating Decks to Floating Shelves...... I see someone minds is enjoying riding on clouds. Great small DYI project April, thanks!

Bench cookies. That's a new one. I like the idea. I've never seen those before. Handy. And I like the holder.
Are you a Hobbit from the Shire? You make the tools look so huge. That makes you a great sales person, giving the customer a sense of big value. Who can beat that!
Nice work April, I liked this project very much and looking foward to more like this.
Ok, the pipe/caster holder thingy is next on my list of things to build. THANK YOU.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.

I can see a cat using the staggered shelves as a way to perch up high.
Woodshed cat???

I love how the shelves turned out. I'm addicted to 'black forest wood co' channel, so it was fun to see how yours turned out, Beautiful peace

I love your videos you made me interested into building now it’s my favorite thing to do
Cool vid...
I use surf wax to plug any cracks that leak through ...no problems.
Tape is ok but can be a leaky issue sometimes.
You sure have a very creative mind and are very talented.
It does make a neat looking wall. Thank you. (Your larger sander has a wobble, like it's been dropped a time or two. Nice for coarse work.)
excellent video. Thank you.
What a cute idea to do the hidden drawer with stickers 😍😭 so nice
The shop is over the top AWSOME
Those look good. I am only just now starting to work with my live edge slabs that I sawed out about half a year ago. I am looking at videos for ideas on using some of my smaller pieces.
