Wow, thanks for the guidance. Based on this I bought one, and it is everything you say. Your narrative on pairing was essential. I didn't understand the documentation. The only question remaining is does the grip turn off when in lock? or some other way to stop battery loss. Anyway, great work!

I don't know if anyone experienced this with the wireless remote battery. I left the battery on the TG-1 remote for a week . When I tried to use the remote, battery is totally drained. I didn't use the remote over that period of time. So I replaced the battery with a new one, used the grip for a while, and left the battery again inside it for a week. When I tried to use it, the battery is drained. It seems like you have to remove the battery of the remote when not using the grip.
@@user-wh3dy8qk1r I'd imagine then it would also work since it connects via Bluetooth unless Sony blocks third party connections, but that would seem bizarre! Hope it works!
@@veiledzorba that's a great question and honestly I haven't specifically tested that out, but I will say it was a massive difference because I didn't even note it. Yet, something I will look into ... Thank you!

I always see the smartphone addled with their BT on all the time whether it needs to be or not, always wondered how much that impacted their already abysmal battery life. In any event, this looks like a good product, I found one for $32. Most of my shooting is on a (big) tripod, but the detachable remote should be handy as the buttons on the cam itself are very tiny!
I would imagine it would be as it works with my Sony ZV1, ZV-E1 and A7C. It connects via Bluetooth, so you should be good... I just don't own the ZV-E10, so I can't say with 100% certainty.
