I’ve been in need of affordable productivity tools, and your list is perfect! The whiteboard idea is genius, and I can’t wait to try the Pomodoro timer to stay more focused during study sessions!
’ve been using the things app for a while now and it’s a game-changer! Definitely agree with your list. The smart light idea is also something I hadn’t considered, but it’s going on my shopping list!
Been following you since undergrad. I remember when you posted your first video. Listened to a lot of your advice on tips to getting into med school. Applied for the first time and got in. M2 now, and I was a little shaken after listening to your video on why you decided to leave medicine, but I am glad you are happy in life regardless. best of luck. hope to meet you some day
Hi Zach, interesting insights - thanks! Could you make a video on paper-based systems (journals/post it notes/whiteboards) vs digital ones? You seem to combine both so well (detailed organised Notes app notes yet 5 different journals on the go all at once!) My phone is always with me even if nothing else is, and I like the idea of stuff being digitally backed up. But I do miss pen & paper! Would love a video on how you work this
This is such a great video! You seem so motivated! I respect the structured lists and time blocking but how do you stay calm with such a strict schedule and so many things on your to-do lists? I used to do time blocking but whenever some small change happened (something ran later or if a task took longer than allotted time) then it ruins the whole schedule. How do you time block so that you can accommodate for these changes that happen?
I'm curious about what things you find more valuable to write in a physical notebook vs typing out in a notes app. I use both and I'm trying to figure it out for myself
I use both! don't have to use one or the other: Notes: pretty much everything Notebook: personal journal, weekly planner, and individual notebooks for Big Projects
At night in bed I have a chrome book that plays on very low volume "Delta Waves" sound ...just loud enough to hear , but not loud enough to keep me awake.... been doing this since 2020... of course I cover the screen with black cloth.
I take back what i said before, this is the best vid producing 💯 guaranteed result! Because I can just go and buy these! Love your Bose recommendation specifically.. have them for a year now.
The segment on life organization reminds me of what Cal Newport does! And I see you're coding? And a startup? 👀 (And thank you for the great video and humor)
Awesome review..... As is typical another .... entertaining, thought provoking and practical ( Needed another Leuctterm as mine is down to 20 blank pages as everything cannot be digitized on my iPad, and time to replace the yoga matt...lol. I've got most of the others covered. Thank you Mr. Highley!
WHEN ARE YOU MAKING A VIDEO ON FSRS ALGORITHM? HAVE YOU ENABLED IT??? guys just point it out if it already exists as a subtopic in one of his anki videos
These tools are great, but I found that Astirna New Tab is a game changer for managing my tasks and keeping everything in one place. It’s pretty neat.

Paper, Notebook, post it notes and ToDo/planner app. Dude, that's more things to write stuff down on than stuff I have to write down :D
bro get some more (graph) paper
Never clicked so fast ❤ And after finishing anki for the day too. Chef' kiss.

Thanks for your attention Zach! It really helped me turn my life around.

Can ine use notion instead if the things app?
if only can choose one ... go for Zach
You actually workout twice a day? Impressive!
Are you not doing a residency now? Your schedule at about 7:00 doesn’t have any time for being a doctor! Reads more like a plan for the weekend…
Paper Still.😀
paper is da best
Paper is underrated. I've used graph paper for about 15 years. As a software engineer, it really helps me plan, make notes, etc.
@@jasonevans498 how does it help with normal notes?

Gurl, who in the heck is getting an Uber ride AND a cup of coffee for $15?
Sir....

Love you Zach but you seem to focus an awful lot on extreme productivity, all the time. Do you ever just journal about your life experiences? ❤️
