- The great Beau Jocque and the Zydeco Hi Rollers doing the "Beau Jocque Boogie" from the Robert Mugge film "True Believers." Maybe someday we'll all be lucky enough to see the movie that this clip came from, "The Kingdom of Zydeco."
2024 and I'm in here. I'm born and raised in Beaumont, Tx, but my people are from Eunice, Lawtell, and Mamou, Louisiana. I love my creole roots sha!!!!!

I remember listening to Beau Jocque as a small boy in the 1990s. My uncle lived in Louisiana, I went to Louisiana, and my father’s friend gave him a cassette tape. Nostalgia!

I am fortunate enough to have seen this film at the Cinema on the Bayou film festival in Lafayette. It's amazing footage of Beau Jocque, I wish I had been lucky enough to have seen him live.
