17:57 it looks like they also haven’t got a good draw, they haven’t snapped so there’s literally no reason to leave right now, rather than just sticking to see what happens. The editors note is wrong lol
Thanks for the perspective! I pinned this comment since there’s merit to it. The ideal competitive move is always to stay if a snap hasn’t occurred. I felt like Dream Dimension combined with Arishem means they can play somewhat normally on turn 5, while I’m severely impacted. It was some future telling but your original point is still true.
@@NerdDynamite That's fair. I get that it looked a bit grim for you, but the same rule applies in any betting game that you never EVER fold if there's no action, basically don't retreat if the cubes aren't going to increase. Anything could happen 💪💪
This is a a really fun deck. I love the way you talk through your plays and decision making, especially highlighting to be patient and keep your options open. Keep up the great work 🙌
You are one of the better Phoenix Force players I have seen. I tried your previous Phoenix Force decks, and while they didn't work for me it's fun and informative to see how you work with these cards and can help me better combat my opponents plays if they are using PF.
😂 As long as I’m helping, I’ll take it! Knowing how your opponent’s deck works is a big part of the game. I don’t fault anyone for not being good with these PF decks. Piloting them optimally is difficult as proven by the couple of mistakes that I made during this video.
Hey! It was a pleasure to be massacred by you at the 18m mark! Lol I was browsing Snap videos, watching this and went "HOLY ****! THAT'S ME!" Solid win, sir. You deserved it and I had to see it out. GG and I have subscribed.
🤣🤣 I’ve also been a victim of another content creator, making their video. Welcome to the club! Ggs! We’re all good players so chances are that you’ll get me next time.
Arishem playing Doc Oc on 4 is the lowest of the low. Arishem started out as so much fun, and for a few days, I was probably having my best Snap experience since going through series 1 and 2. But now it's yet another card that has been polluted with toxicity . I'm envious of how well you kept your cool. For all I know, getting annoyed doesn't change the situation. I just cant help myself.
Yep... Doc Oc on turn 4 stinks. I've always been a chill person, but earlier in my Snap playing days I would get frustrated facing meta decks. I was able to get past it since I feel like I've accomplished everything there is to do. Now the setbacks (and emote spam) doesn't bother me and pretty sure that's made me even better since I avoid tilt.
@laaa210 I see an Arishem player and I retreat on turn 1 now to save myself from wasting a couple of minutes and trying to find a modicum of fun against a fair deck. Enjoy your 1 cube Arishem players
Thanks for watching! If I didn’t have to work on new decks, I’d play with this Tribunal one for a while. I made a handful of mistakes while recording and would love to master it.
In 19:59 you could play iron fist on the right and ghost spider on the the right too and then play beast, then your human tourch was 32 power, and you will be with more power, but still ok
Thanks! I did create a BK deck a month ago, but not sure how good it still is in this meta: ua-cam.com/video/Ygu-eN1jQwI/v-deo.html And Thanos… I’ve been trying to find a unique take for a while. Hopefully I can crack it soon and feature him!
On the Thena/Kitty match, you could've Iron Fisted and floated on 4... then done Phoenix Force/Ghost Spider on 5 and it would've given your torch an extra move.
And now you’ve seen the limit of my brain 😂. This is probably the most “big brain” deck I’ve used and it’s because there’s always this nagging feeling I didn’t maximize my points. In my head, I love full move decks but in practice it’s super easy to make tiny mistakes that are magnified.
@@stevenrussellwells Well... there's always someone else who's better ☺. I genuinely like the comments that point out improvements, which is why I do it to myself if I catch them during editing. It's what this channel is about and when I play these decks after recording, I can pilot them even better.
I hit infinite in the past 3 seasons with a phoenix tribuna, deck but a bit different than this. I run also a classic tribunal deck in it with Howard, Lad, Iron man, Onslaught, Magik This way I have 3 win conditions, going for the multiple man route, the human torch tribuna, route, or the classic Ironman onslaught tribunal route. It’s a bit more greedy that your deck I’d say, but with so many winning routes the combos are easy to get, and once I learned my lose conditions well, it’s a ton of fun to win with
Nice! Thanks so much for sharing! I love hearing how other people decide to build similar decks. Magik scares me because of all the location disruption so I opted to exclude her. Unfortunately for my brain, that means I went with a bounce backup plan 😅.
😂 It’s a tricky matchup but… PF can revive him in the case of an early Killmonger. But you mostly need Beast to send Torch back to the hand for protection.
I haven’t revisited it since I’m having to create new decks so much but… This deck should still be really viable. It’s definitely a nerf, but your gameplan doesn’t change with Beast. You play him on turn 5 for a free Torch on turn 6. That still lets you play two other 1 cost cards with him on turn 5.
I have found that min/max-ing your cube loss/gains can be a big ask sometimes. It’s frustrating when I have my combo and I’m snapping but they leave, when I just had several games in a row where I made the smart retreat when I didn’t. I have found that in the last few seasons it has been so difficult to maintain meaningful net positivity on cubes. I did hit infinite this season but the last few, rough as hell.
Min/Max-ing cubes can definitely be tough! And I’ve had my fair share of streaks just as you describe. Before I started creating videos, I was almost exclusively using my more standard Phoenix Force deck to help me with that since I could snap super early before my opponent had a clue. Now though, I’m having to create new decks so often, I don’t have time to master them to give good snap/retreat advice. I’ll try to keep this in mind for future videos and add specific notes. It’s the most important part of “winning” (aka climbing).
Forge, Goose, America Chavez, or Professor X. Forge and America Chavez can buff. Goose and Professor X can soft lock down a lane to protect Human Torch from Shang or tech cards.
Thanks for the sub and the feedback!! I'm still getting used to content creation and need people like you to let me know if something can be better. I think it might be some of my audio filter settings, but I'll definitely look into improving the audio.
I must've been watching too many of your videos and have woke this morning with an idea to see how big I can make a Kitty Pryde Tribunal deck. I'm gonna play every possible card that would boost a Kitty and see just how big I can get her 😅😅
😂 Not a soul would expect Tribunal from a Kitty deck. Good luck! There’s going to be quite a bit of losing. Let me know what you come up with. You definitely have me curious if it could actually work.
@NerdDynamite more often than not I'm having to win with my alternate route of Iron Man Onslaught Tribunal but one time so far I've had Shuri's lab and Kitty was massive by the end
😢 That’s rough. It’s definitely a below 50% win rate deck but the cube gains make up for it. It felt similar to a standard PF deck in that way. I did have fun with it and it’s one of the decks I go back to in my down time.
Hulkbuster - It can buff Torch or be used before Ghost Spider or after Iron Fist to move Torch or Multiple Man. Shang-Chi, Enchantress, or Rogue - This deck has no tech cards and there were definitely games that I lost where having a tech card would've easily won me the game.
👀 Don’t worry, this channel is too small for the secret to really get out 😂. I’m curious how close this version is to the one you’re using. I created this without looking up other versions but maybe there’s really only one way to build a PF/LT deck.
@@NerdDynamite I use a hybrid of the one you use and a traditional Tribunal. You can start it out as a PF deck that drops LT turn 6 or if you can't get the tempo needed you can finish IM>OS>LT. Any excuse to rock Howard too ;) Howard the Duck Human Torch Carnage Multiple Man Magik Cosmo Venom Phoenix Force Iron Lad Iron Man Onslaught Living Tribunal

Ha! Against those decks, that’s when Falcon and Beast are super important. They can’t Red Guardian, Killmonger, SK, or Shang the cards in your hand. Then you also don’t have priority so they still can’t be used! I showed a game that demonstrated how Falcon and Beast work.
Maybe… but my thought was it would’ve been a lucky win if so. Playing Living Tribunal means 17 total points resulting in 5 power per lane. They only would’ve needed to play a 5 power card left, since they win tie breaker too: Cannonball, Red Hulk, Galactus, Sentry, Annihilus, Alioth, Sersi, or a combo of smaller cards.
17:57 it looks like they also haven’t got a good draw, they haven’t snapped so there’s literally no reason to leave right now, rather than just sticking to see what happens. The editors note is wrong lol
