The dancing is fun, but the music of the ‘50s was vapid. In contrast, much of the music of the late ‘60s/early ‘70s actually *had something to say,* a quality rarely seen before, except in folk and some blues music. The ‘60s/‘70’s also brought an elevated level of musical talent rare in popular music the decade before: Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, et al. You may not like what you’re hearing in today’s popular music, but at least we’re beginning to see a return of some thoughtful, even inspiring, lyrics. I see hope in that. And if you take the time to look beyond the mainstream, you’ll find a breadth of styles that was *never* available before!
Linda J Nichols Because they had enough respect for the actors to give them the respect they deserve in silence. Frankly, I wish people would knock off the clapping. It’s NOT your performance.
The song is called Why and it’s by The Cues. Can’t believe no one has mentioned this. Yeah the couple dancing it awesome , but give the artists providing the music credit they deserve too.
WTH your audience should of showed more love and appreciation of your talent. You both are awesome and absolutely you are my favorite dancers. Are you guys married ? You both look suited for each other. Love ya Marty and Miss Dee. From Surprise Arizona ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Diane...this is the best piece of Rockabilly dancing on the Net! I love the location the Tune and feel!...My band THE MEMPHIS SUNS have just released our latest Rockabilly Album OLD FASHIONED FOOL and are just about to make the video..(Track 12 Demon Woman is doing great in the USA).would be amazing to have a kool kats Like you guys on our Clip!...Keep a Rock'n Dancing and Acting! Cheers Frank
One of my favorite dance videos. As great as Marty is.....and he is great, I find myself watching Miss Dee. She has so much personality and joy in her dancing. Dancing is Life.
I bet you can! There are fun and inexpensive swing clubs in many cities, all over the US and around the world, that will teach you the basics and then allow you to learn a ton by just social dancing all night. Check your area!
Marty & Miss Dee you two make the music come alive with depth. This is my favorite video. Love you two, great dance partners. Best dance team since The nickel Brothers. I watched all your videos, like the one when Marty was wearing the zoot suit. Bravo Brave Bravo ❤️❤️
My sweetheart and i would dance like this at the local bar. Then the war broke out and was sent to fight in the frontlines. Lost a leg and was never able to dance again. This gave me a smile. Thank you.
Every time I see this I get so pissed off cause those people could of had the decency to clap and yell out how good you are. You two are so awesome together. Your great dancers and entertainers. You well deserve more recognition. Jus know I think the world of you Miss Dee and Marty. Love ya both ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@Isabel Guterres Clearly your head is that far above the clouds that you miss the whole point of this more than enjoyable video. I could go on but I know for a fact that you are so brain-washed with the ideals of your chosen religion that change is out of your choice. The very idea of living a life by the standards of uneducated peasants from 2000 years ago is quite frankly ABSURD. Anyways, have a good life and feel free to loosen the shackles, the ones that inhibit you from freedom of thought.
When music was real music, and dancing was real dancing, what a pleasure joyful to watching
Ohhhhhhh! The good old times😍😍😍
Couldn’t agree with you more, today’s music is absolutely shocking.
The dancing is fun, but the music of the ‘50s was vapid. Amen
Sure was. Put a smile on my face. Compare to what is happening now with the mess of the elections.
What a lovely performance...by this pair....addicted to it. God bless you...live 100 years.
I never get tired of watching this . It's what real dancing should be..... Long live Rock n Roll
É massa
Long live Rock n Roll.
love watching this, gives me the most positive vibes in a long time
3 minutes of pure, unadulterated joy. THIS is how you DANCE! And what better music to dance to? WONDERFUL! BRAVO!!
101% pure FACT >>> YabbaDabbaDooooooooo
Great Footwork !
I'm jealous.
Surely, it took a lot of practice on top of a lot of creativity. Their routine is uniquely their own.
@Isabel Guterres no mames
You make it look so easy! You guys ROCK!!!!!!!!
Just Wow! Loved watching. Wish i could have danced like that! So entertaining. Thank you for sharing!
Great dancing but what’s with the crowd? No one clapped or celebrated their dance. So so weird, are these Parisians?
Welcome to Paris
It's all fake, Super imposed
Linda J Nichols ...yep...🙄 Even the French don’t like Parisians.
Linda J Nichols Because they had enough respect for the actors to give them the respect they deserve in silence. Frankly, I wish people would knock off the clapping. It’s NOT your performance.
In Paris there are no more Parisians! Only tourists! All these people in the crowd are foreigners visiting the Eiffel Tower.
Takes you back to a time when the world was a much better place.
Michael Jones like 6 months ago
Sam Mckee 😂😂
Just because it was like this in the US that doesn't mean the rest of the world was the same
Brilliant and good Danny moodiesburn Glasgow
Slow mo 2:31
The crowd is way to busy watching this gem through their phones. You deserve more attention. I fell in love anyway
Deserved a more exuberant crowd reaction 😒
A burnout crowd
That's the French for u 😳
@@lindawinchcole9144 Well...Don't forget...The French gave us "THE KISS"!!
They're just envious.
I think we all would have given rapturous applause 😀😀👍
It's nice to see a girl dancing and not twerking.
Amen twerking is disgusting
The bop and jitter bug the stroll and the twist
This is true, and it won't hurt if she wore some shorts underneath the dress. That crotch view wasn't tasteful.
@@arethamorgan6613 Try a burka,pathetic statement.
@@barbaralowe5487 mostly when u see kids do it
😘 They are certainly a.....Couple of Cool Cats!!!👏😊Wonderful😊
This was so great. It put a smile on my face. Sad that so few in the audience showed their joy and appreciation.
No doubt, Parisians see this dancing the same way that Americans see African dancing.
They probably aren't familiar with this type of dancing. I could watch them all day.
I think they were just mesmerized.
😂😂😂😂😄🤗💝
They were awed.
Good clean fun
How good are these dancers and don't forget the tune awesome
I never tire of watching these dance routines. Happy, carefree, uplifting and dignified.
Dignified?
YES Mark Duncan 👏
Miss dee , sooo cute my next big crush ,
Damn I’m old enough to be her dad
The song is called Why and it’s by The Cues. Can’t believe no one has mentioned this. Yeah the couple dancing it awesome , but give the artists providing the music credit they deserve too.

Paris before the million migrants looked pretty nice.
Cette performance aurait méritée davantage d'applaudissements. Un grand bravo !
This signifies American energy and attitude. Love it !
