The high end niche brands are elaborately packaged, their respective "innards" are procured from the best sources and the price point can be beyond the reach of mere mortals! I've been taking photos pairing watches with a particular fragrance from time to time which has gone over well. Makes for fun themes every now and then.
I wore Amouage Reflection Man on Saturday to my nephew’s wedding. Got several comments on how good I smell. My oldest dd gets married next weekend. Still not sure what fragrance I will wear. The weather isn’t helping. Soak a blanket in water, wrap it around yourself and then walk across the surface of the sun is my best analogy.

I would, of course, were I choosing just for myself go with some kind of weapons grade rose (no fear of florals for this bloke), but I thought it might be nice to wear something I can gift to the happy couple afterward which they could both wear as a memento (not sure thermonuclear rose would fly). As a rose fancier, I didn't like Atomic Rose at all (then again, I don't get on too well with Initio stuff). The 'rose' is very amped up and synthetic, without much in the way of texture or depth to my nose. I can see the appeal, and think it does what's intended well, but a natural smelling rose it is not.

The rose isn't hugely prominent, but that's more the overall strength of the composition than anything lacking in the accord. If you're interested in a n excellent natural rose at a good price, consider one from Anka-Kus called 'Ismail Effendi, The Rose Bandit'. Lovely slightly fruity very voluminous rose, bit spicy, and backed up by a lovely amber. Bit of patchouli, slightly resinous. Rose is the star, then it becomes a lovely rosey amber as it dries down.
[edit: Coffee] Your description of Radical Rose is making me think whether this sample I have sitting on the side for Fragrance du Bois' "Lovers" will smell similar. I haven't tried Radical Rose, so I won't be able to confirm. But I actually hit 40 different 2023 releases sampled today and got another 8 with me + 2 on the way. Staying ahead of the curve.

The main assessment is that 2023 has been weak for new releases, largely driven by oversaturation with flankers (Nishane, Masque Milano, Ex Nihilo), brands playing it safe (MFK) or going back to more unwearable scents (Amouage). Leaders: Astaral (in-line with sweet-jammy rose of Fragrance du Bois/Roja for half the price on better performance), Ani X (basically Ani sans the spice), FDB "AM" (multi-layered bitter-fougere, like Roja's Burlington 1819), and Empiryan (sophisticated tobacco). Contenders: Pas ce Soir Extrait (chocolatey pear fragrance, but too designer-esque & poor performing), Ingenious Ginger (candied ginger, great price but fairly simple), Aquila Absolute (a lot of layers but retains wearability - cardamom, bitter fougere, but also fruity leather) Just okay: Bonbon Pop (sweet fruitchouli, smells like women's shampoo), Hacivat X (original smelled too distant from Aventus so apparently they wanted more closer to it lol), Guidance (very well layered, deep-sensual women's scent - peachy vanilla body cream vibe), GnTonic (it's literally just okay, smells like a cocktail with white florals). Whiffs/disappointments: Lovers (synthetic saffron with rose & the Erba Pura profile as the base, clearly a PR product being pushed), Hacivat Oud (too simple for the $ - mostly just minty patchouli, ~0 oud after first 10 minutes), King Blue (licorice top is nice, but that animalic assam & leather combination is terrible), Vanille Leather (it just smells dark woody & white floral lol). LOSERS/trash tier: Blue Moon (literal synthetic sludge, 90s designer-type aquatic with a lot of calone), Lineage (kitchen spice pantry), Groove Xcape (it's all resin/amber & spices, it smells like Amouage), Ganymede Extrait (they took the original Ganymede and tried to layer it on top of a salt lamp, very intense dry amber just like Groove Xcape).
Regards from San Sebastián Spain, (I am a California native currently living in NY, USA),,, I highly suggest Barcelona Spain to you for a fun fragrance adventure…. Lots of nice locations and niche hot spots.

I was at my first wedding as an adult this may and I wore Frederic Malle “Promise” (it was a bit colder day than usual so that frag was perfect) and oh my that thing projects and lasts. So 2 sprays from early afternoon untill like 5-6 am next day and I could still smell Promise on me. I’ve noticed few people looking in my direction when I walked past them and I also got one compliment from a guy. People say that Promise is more of a winter fragrance but I could wear that one on spring but not when It’s too hot. It is divisive (you’re either gonna love this one or hate it) but I would suggest sampling that one because to me it’s pure magic😁

I think you’re on the right path with the middle of the day meetup, as you have the potential to catch the city workers on their lunch break. Perth just happens to be a city that is quite decentralised and so not everyone will be working in the CBD. In my own case, it’s just going to have to be a good excuse to head to Melbourne again and try to connect with you there!

I’ve noticed few people looking in my direction when I walked past them and I also got one compliment from a guy. People say that Promise is more of a winter fragrance but I could wear that one on spring but not when It’s too hot. It is divisive (you’re either gonna love this one or hate it) but I would suggest sampling that one because to me it’s pure magic😁

For example, “This fragrance has a young/classic/modern/youthful/mature/vivacious/reserved/etc. feel to it.”

I think you’re on the right path with the middle of the day meetup, as you have the potential to catch the city workers on their lunch break. Perth just happens to be a city that is quite decentralised and so not everyone will be working in the CBD. In my own case, it’s just going to have to be a good excuse to head to Melbourne again and try to connect with you there!

Yes, you can rock it♥️ Just don't over spray. I would suggest no more than 3 sprays (mid chest area, stomach and arm)...this will be enough to create an equal part presence/mystery to you and the perfume.

I know that what I'm about to say is a contradiction, but.....I feel embarrassed showing the entire collection in one episode or even giving this collection a number.
For me personally, it's a bit 'showy' to do this...I know, I know, it's a contradiction, considering that I'm always posting about different perfumes, but the difference is that I'm only talking about 7 perfumes max in an episode😬
