I only use two fragrances. Mamluk Xerjoff, and FDB Sahraa oud. Expensive duo...but worth every penny.

If you enjoy xerjoff’s Mamluk, do try to test xerjoff’s Ceylon. It is another oud and honey scent but with tea. I find it a step above mamluk (if such a thing is possible :))
As always, thank you @Benjamin Doughty, for your support and kind words. Yes, Mamluk took me by surprise as I was expecting a 'stinky oud' but was very much impressed; I loved the honey note that was coming through.

Wearing Psychedelique right now and loving that warm patchouli hug. Strangely I was very unimpressed with the Bodicea lineup. Nothing standout enough to justify those ridiculous prices. Jovoy on the other hand is fantastic perfumery for, not cheap but, very approachable prices.

Asides being a lover of TF, I've absolutely fallen in love with Boadicea, whole bottles are quite out of my price range however I've found a neat hack of finding the 10ml travel sprays affordable to smelling like a king on a tight budget haha. Excellent vids guys, keep on keeping on. Much love. X.

I ordered a sample set from Xerjoff, and included Mamluk as something of an afterthought. As so often happens, it turned out to be the only one I liked. Naxos does nothing for me, and Ivory Route on me smelled like vanilla extract cut with baby powder. Zerphira was awful, nuff said. But Mamluk made up for all the disappointment. Like a good many perfumes, the opening leaves me a little cold. But the drydown is righteous. If you have any desire to smell like Humphrey Bogart in an Italian tux, out for dinner in some exotic port with Lauren Bacall on your arm, this juice is for you. But go lightly. It packs a punch.

I actually never liked patchouli before, I almost felt sick smelling it, it was just too much for me.... But that was until I sampled Psychedelique from Jovoy. Wow. What a beautiful fragrance. I have never smelled patchouli like this. Warm, friendly, welcoming, you know... A dark and green and golden experience for me. Takes me to a place where I just want to stay for a long time. The rose in there and the vanilla at the heart of it is very pleasant. I am falling in love with it as we speak.

I appreciate your honest and candid comment on Psychedelique. It just boggles my mind how every "reviewer" in this platform sings its praises yet no one says the obvious. I got a 10ml sample 2 days ago and it's simply a difficult wear. It smells like straight dirt from beginning to end and although it does have some nuances, the dirt smell nullifies them. I will say that the Patchouli from Yves Roger Nouveau genre is sooooo lovely scent. Definitely Top 5 in my very modest collection and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
Patchouli is one of those fragrance notes that polarise's people and yes, when a fragrance is "all about Patchouli" it can have a real kick about it.
Interestingly I now own Psychedelique😂 When I tested here for the first time with Kevin it overwhelmed me; took me by complete surprise as it was a super intense earthy patchouli. However I revisited this fragrance a short time after filming this episode and slowly started to understand and fall in love with this perfume. Now, I really love it.
Give it a chance. As a winter, cool month perfume it's extraordinary.
I'm going to see if I can find Patchouli from Yves Roger Nouveau. i'm not familiar with this House but intrigued by your comments.

Give Nouveau Genre a try. Yves Rocher is based in France and are absolutely underrated. I'll be buying their Cuir de Nuit and Autour de Minuit next week. For the price, the value is incredible. I guarantee you will consider it way above average. It's a scent that's very easy to fall in love with. ❤🙏🏾👍🏽😀

To be honest Cuir de Nuit was underwhelming to me..it certainly didn't live up to the standard and impression Nouveau Genre left with me. As far as Autour de Minuit, that one I'll purchase next week. I did get Journey Man..and well..I don't have to say much hahah
It's a freaking MASTERPIECE as you already know and made public. Everything Amouage puts out there is unbelievable good!

Hey Marcello! Didn't want to make it a mystery but forgot to comment on my new favorite, which is... Sahraa by Fragrance du Bois!
When I shopped for samples at Jovoy recently I wanted to get more Oud Rose fragrances, because I love the Ouds by MFK.
So I got Alexandria II & III & Orientale, Sacre e Profano, Rose Oud FDB and Sahraa, all glorious perfumes but Sacre e Profano, Rose Oud by FDB and for sure Sahraa stood out to me.
I find this to be a very smooth Oudh, Saffron and Rose fragrance which works for our summer right now, and think it will be even more glorious in winter.
I also fell in love with the brand after finding out the Oud is organic and that almost all oils are natural. So also the dark rich red color is natural, wow!
The only sad part is the price tag, which I'm willing to pay for this masterpiece, so I'm saving up for it, because I must have it!
What do you think about the projection and longevity? It begins as a high sillage for me and stays on my skin for ~9 hours and ends up as a body fragrance (or I'm nose blind by then).
This really is Pure Magic for me
Been wearing Sahraa today again, and for me this is the pinnacle of perfumery, of the hundreds of fragrances smelled so far. Only wished for better longevity for this price

I have oud jaune intense, oud Rose intense, oud bleu intense, oud violet intense, New York 5th Avenue, and santal complet but sahraa oud is my favorite perfume from fragrance du Bois and santal complet is beautiful but a huge disappointment due to longevity and projection. I discovered sahraa oud before they rebottled it and it smelled so beautiful, unisex and sweet on my skin. It lasted ALL day in Indonesian humidity when I tested it. I’ve heard and read with the rebottling they also reformulated but I pray they didn’t because it’s so exorbitant in price. I need to buy it because it’s really high on my wishlist! If anyone has the older bottle and wants to sell it PLEASE LET ME KNOW. As much as I love the new bottle’s look, the rumors have me weary about jumping the gun and making such an expensive purchase only to be disappointed.

I think I'm going to have to set aside a separate saving account to get a bottle of that Boadicea as I love the line but haven't tried many of them. Mamluk I love, the FdB is great but a little too pricey for the delivery IMO. I am yet to try the Jovoy but that is a line I am truly anxious to get my nose on as well.
Interesting that you don’t write the FDBs really high… I have a few from their lineup and I love each one of them. Out of interest which ones have you tried?

Yes, in truth we can do a 10 part series on 'Beast Mode' as there are a number strong performing fragrances out there....I think I might do a reprise on this theme and focus on Amouage, Creed, Clive Christian and some other of those big brands.

Hopefully you get to see this and respond but I literally just came across your channel 2 days ago and I absolutely love your take on perfumes, I basically got to know about Fragrance Du Bois Sahraa and Royal Crown Sultan through this channel, Nebulous I would love to have as I like Oud fragrances but that’s out of my price range, I currently have the opportunity to get either the 50ml bottle of Sahraa or the 100ml bottle of Sultan, I like fragrances that project a lot but I don’t know which to go for out of these two, since you’ve tried both, I’d like to ask which you’d prefer if you could only get one?

Tough choice on both of these, but you mentioned that you love Oud, then I would recommend start with Sahraa as this is exceptional and considered one of the best Oud fragrance's out there.
My suggestion is don't over spray Sahraa (no more than 3) and you'll see that it will have awesome longevity and projection....the 50ml bottle will last you a long time.
Good luck my friend, once you make the final decision, would love to know which way you go.

Is psychedelique a unisex fragrance?
Hi @Mark of Genius, in my opinion 100%yes. The bigger question is "Do you like Patchouli?" If the answer to that is yes, then I would recommend this awesome fragrance. It opens with a very punchy, smokey patchouli and then drys down with a bit of a caramel/burnt sugar vibe to it.....I'm a big fan.
I would strongly recommend that you try on skin first; I wouldn't recommend that you blind buy this one. Thanks again for your comments @Mark of Genius🙌🏽....good luck with this. Would love to know how you go, if you get the chance to test
