He was so talented. I only recently realized what a good singer he was. Perfect timing, just a pleasure to listen to. I don't think he ever got the recognition he should have and deserved.
I'm still smiling...!! Bobby makes me smile..even while tears are rolling down my cheeks..! That Oh so cheeky smile!!!...Bobby is having fun with us...and we LOVE this!!.. He's a trickster...segueing into every song with perfection..! Bobby ""hears"" each note before he sings it!! He pictures it..and it is perfect.. Bobby's phrasing....Bobby's timing..perfection!!! Thank you, Bobby..for making my late night jam session delightful!! Miss you man..Miss you!!!
Wow ... no comments earlier than 3 years.. He was/is the GOAT! ok maybe below Frank and Sammy but still.. This is MUSIC and vocal. Big band and lead singer is the best. what the hell are we waiting for more great stuff? I 'm a father of three teenager and they LOVE it (not all the time..!)
I absolutely loved him!! He sings with such ease and makes every song perfect. We lost one of our greatest entertainers way too soon. How I miss him. It's unfortunate that we don't have great performers like him anymore. Rest in peace Bobby.
Apart from the voice and delivery, which were perfection, he also had oodles of humour and wit. One of my regrets is never to have seen him perform live in a night club.
EXCELLENT. Bobby Darin was really cooking with a "K". He sure new how to swing a song, it was so effortless just second nature. When Bobby did a song or for that matter anything it was always to perfection, just had to be so, this is the pay off. I have both of these artists singing this but Bobby Darin's is the best version by far, pure magic.
Incredible performance. I had this in my favorites a while ago and then it got deleted from UA-cam. So glad it is back. He starts out so quiet and relaxed and by the third chorus is totally swinging.
Great singers are forever ____ timeless ___ BD ____ prime example ___ I wonder what people hear in this piece to give a thumbs down ??? They cant be right
I feel lucky to see the shows he sang on. when I was a teenager I discovered bobby. I was lucky to collect all of his records. it's fun to watch him move on stage. he was one of a kind.
He was like Perry Como but with more swing. Easy delivery with continuous build-up to the last note. He had more to give but time ran out on him. He made the most of the time he had.
I know your sincere and respectfull but he was in no way similar to Perry Como. BD was influenced in no small by Ray Charles __ by Muddy Waters by Frank ____ Perry Como heard no such influences ____
Excellent version of this Berlin classic. Eddie Fisher doing this song is also here on youtube. I suggest anyone who likes this try that version as well.
no Sinatra couldnt swing....he just mopped around in front of the world's greatest musicians like Miles Davis....who said..."i want my instrument to sound like Sinatra"....no swing....lol
The AUTHORITY on (almost) every song he recorded/performed. Matt Monro, on some recordings they shared, was BD's only equal or better. But BD was and remains the greatest stage performer of all.
A little story I heard about Bobby Darin ... He wanted to record Mack The Knife, and no recording studio had any interest in it. So he recorded that song with all his own money, and would have taken a huge hit if the song tanked. But, of course, it didn't ...
bobby darin ya venía de atlánticos récords con muy buenos antecedentes para reemplazar a frank sinatra y vaya que temas se le ocurrió para cumplir con su cometido

This is the BEST version of this great song....and the best singer too!!

Well said
Absolutely agree. His stage presence is SO VERY NATURAL. WISH I had some of his records. I have only one. Any one know where they are available.????
Merci pour ce partage en live et cette vidéo

Great singing Bobby. XxX
I only wish I could see and hear Bobby Darin perform live... yes, he was certainly in a class of his own. There was something very unique about him.
What a fantastic singer Bobby Darin was. He is truly missed.

Imagine, how he must have "ruined" it for everyone else!
I think Sinatra was jealous. When asked about Bobby's impact, he just blew it off.
I agree. Would have enjoyed watching him perform LIVE!
This is a great performance by a very great and talented entertainer! 🤗😘

A truly great performer and singer. He was Elviss favourite singer and much admired
CLASS ACT AND SINGER...LOST TO US MUCH TO SOON....
Incredible performance. I had this in my favorites a while ago and then it got deleted from UA-cam. So glad it is back. He starts out so quiet and relaxed and by the third chorus is totally swinging.
What a beauty! He had the knack of finding them I've noticed. He was very good at it.
Absolutely fantastic!! What an AWESOME talent Bobby Darin possessed!!
That's liquid gold flowing from his sweet mouth, and in his every move.
A real class act done to perfection.

I remember this video was up before but got taken down. Glad to see it up again, I like this live performance even better than the album version.
He was such an engaging artist. Voice, sublime. 💕
PERFECTION.

Bobby could do lounge, rock, blues, country…..no limits…

Great version of this fantastic song.
Thank you for sharing.
He had the most amazing, effortless voice. This and Blue Skies give me chills every time. Thanks for posting it!
So chic ! So Swing !

Saw him years ago in concert sing this. What a showman,!!!
THE greatest ENTERTAINER of all time!!!!!!! The hell with Sammy Davis Jr.
Tony Page why does your opinion have go be capped with the hell with somebody else?
Stupid remark makes no sense
Excellent version of this Berlin classic. Eddie Fisher doing this song is also here on youtube. I suggest anyone who likes this try that version as well.
Thanks. I find Eddie's, while he did have a fine voice, wooden.
NICE...
Especially fir the last part when he approached the stage as they said “ this is Tom Jones “
He died way too young. One of my favorites
Valentine's 2020
If he had lived a full life he would have been another Sinatra. Terrific singer. Listen to him sing "A Nightingale Sang In Berkely Square".
he sings it to fast...
nice

hategreed1 I have loved Matt Monro's voice since I was very young. I only have a handful of favourites. Bobby D and Matt Monro are top of the list.
You've got a great ear/soul/heart, Lyall. :-)
A little story I heard about Bobby Darin ... He wanted to record Mack The Knife, and no recording studio had any interest in it. So he recorded that song with all his own money, and would have taken a huge hit if the song tanked. But, of course, it didn't ...
