  • Now i know this one has been out for a while, BUT it was past time to bring the Gerber Fastball to the channel. This folding blade is freaking awesome! It is one that Gerber got 100% correct out of the gate.
From the buttery smooth opening, to the blade steel. Hands down my favorite folder by Gerber.
If you would like to purchase one, i have left a link to amazon.com

I bought my own. It's fantastic for my EDC. I sometimes forget I'm carrying it. 😃

Bought both a Gerber Fastball and a Kershaw Dividend. Although I do like the Dividend, it fell apart and had to be sent back for warranty work. The Fastball is the clear winner, it's also a much more attractive knife.

Looks like Gerber had the Kershaw Leek in their crosshairs. Looks like the Leek got murdered. But that's just my opinion. I despise the Leek lol

If gerber can keep producing blades like this, it will be a hell of a comeback

@@Tctbnl I still want the Gerber Empower but since I'm no longer a reviewer I have no reason to buy more knives

I admit I miss going out and beating the hell out of knives and I get a lot of DMs with people offering to send me stuff to beat up and begging me to come back but I just don't have the time. To make videos. I don't even get a chance to sit down and watch as many videos as I used to. I get about 30 minutes before work, maybe my lunch break (if I get one), and possibly a small amount of time before I go to bed. I've been working 70 hours a week and when I'm not at work I'm spending time with my girl. I definitely miss being out there beating blades up and showing what's good and what sucks. Hopefully one day I'll be able to come back though

I've been thinking about this knife review thing. One test we might be missing, but it COULD depend on the physical strength of the carrier. Penetration. I'm thinking maybe just a quick stab into say a pine 2X4 or a really thick stack of cardboard. Something that might indicate to you how the blade profile might effect the penetration. Just a though. Another great review. Doesn't look bad.

I’ve been thinking about picking one of these up...I’m glad to see companies like Gerber,Kershaw and Buck starting to work with more premium steels..both Gerber and Buck used 420 stainless for years and they still do but I love seeing knives like the Buck 110 and 112 being made in S30V...Im thinking about ordering the Kershaw Bareknuckle with gold colored scales and 20CV blade steel,at $120 you really can’t beat it..hell,you can find the M390 Link or M390 Dividend for around $70,that is the cheapest I’ve ever seen knives in M390

I am a fan of Gerber, but for that price think I’d try the BENCHMADE MINI GRIPTILLIAN. On sale right now at Smokey Mountain Knife Works for $89.99. Free shipping and comes with a promotional tool logic credit card companion and promotional pocket sharpener. Great video as always, and I thought the lighting was fine Brother! Keep up the fantastic videos.

Thank you brother. The new light setup was weird, but I know I’ll get used to it. It took me forever to pull the trigger on this one. But I’m damn happy I did

Out of all the amazing knives from Shot Show,I believe the knife I’m most excited about is the ESEE 3 in S35VN...hopefully in the not too distant future, they will start making the ESEE 4,5,6,Junglas and Junglas 2 in 3V,O1 and/or A2...nothing against 1095,I have the Izula,4 and Junglas in 1095 as well as many other KaBar,OKC,TOPS and Schrade knives in 1095..I like 1095 and always have but I think it’s time both ESEE and TOPS start using more premium steels..I mean, you could buy a new TOPS knife for $200 in 1095 or you could spend another $50 and get a Bark River in 3V, O1,A2,Cruwear,Elmax,etc...ESEE and TOPS are 2 of my favorite brands..the designs and craftsmanship are always top notch..now if they would just upgrade the blade steel..well,TOPS needs to drop their nylon sheaths as well.I hate paying $150-$200 for a knife comes with a sheath that I have to immediately replace..there is no excuse for a knife that cost $100+ to come with a cheap nylon sheath..if companies like Cold Steel and Schrade can give kydex or thermoplastic sheaths with knives they sell for $30-$50,why can’t TOPS do the same with their knives that cost 4 or 5 times as much...now,their knives that come with kydex or leather are great but it seems they use nylon the most...I can’t stand nylon sheaths, even if they are well made
