I still believe this is one of the best camo patterns ever made. When I wear other patterns, cattle and deer can see me the whole time. I know this because they know exactly when they need to move away from me when I've crossed the line of their comfort zone. When Im wearing asat, cows become extremely nervous when I stop moving. They will pace back and forth trying to see my profile again. They'll snort and moo, because they know I'm there, but they absolutely cannot see me when I'm standing still. The same applies to deer. Deer may see me initially, but once I stand still in Asat, they get really weirded out. I've even had deer that were spooked, turn back around and come toward me to try and see me again. I mean literally walk 20-30 yards back in my direction to try and maintain sight of my profile, but they simply can't see you in asat when your still. There are specified camo patterns that work great, but asat is in another league. I think the fact that it breaks up your profile is way more important than matching the hatch.
Due to ankle injuries, I bow hunt from the ground now. I am just as successful hunting from the ground with asat as I was 20 foot up in a tree. I don't make any effort to hide. I just sit where I want and let the camo do it's job. Deer look right through me and never pay me any mind. Asat works. You can read comments from people who like to hear themselves talk if you like or you can read comments by someone who has real experiences and puts meat in the freezer. Asat camo is the real deal.
I’ve owned a lot of camo and ASAT honestly works the best in the most environments. For all around camouflage that’s going to be effective in the most not “all” environments, I really am a firm believer. I’ve been 5 yards with herds of elk and had no scent guard on and they never can see me. This shit truly works, better than any Kuiu or firstlite pattern there is. Pines, sagebrush, rangeland, mountains, subalpine, lodgepole, coastal, I’ve wore this shit in a lot of different areas and it’s gold my friends. May not look all cool cus you don’t got name brand Kuiu on! But this is the best camo. Military doesn’t use it for what ever reason, but it works
I have worn ASAT since '99. It is the best because it works. Before i had ever heard of asat i was hunting with a buddy, he was gonna meet me by my treestand about 11 to go to the truck for lunch, this is before i had a cellphone so i wasnt sure of the time. All i remember was hearing this movement through the woods, i grabbed my bow and was thinking it was deer, im on high alert now, he walked to about 3yds from my stand before i seen him. Been wearing ASAT ever since!!
Good stuff. I started using ASAT two years ago and truly did see more game (and at MUCH closer ranges) than I ever had before. The stuff works! But it doesn't make up for stupid...you still have to hunt smart. If you move, you'll get busted no matter what you're wearing. ASAT customer service is also excellent!
I spend a lot of time in the woods and share this video with everyone. There was a noticeable difference in wildlife encounters once I switched to wearing brown and gray in the forest, no camo at all. Thank you for the upload!
I've been wearing this stuff for a while when hunting whitetails. I dont understand why all camo patterns are green when deer dont even see in color. This stuff is the bomb!
This man was gracious enough to send my airsoft. Team a sample suit and I'm impressed. I owned one before but lost it in a fire .The creator was gracious enough to send us the sample at no cost to prove his camo was the best and he was right ASAT is the best for deer hunting but for airsoft we found vegging is the only way vto truly disappear
I am a woodsball paintball player. I was looking into getting some really good camo when I began to think what better camo for in the woods then hunting camo VS military camo. Now coming across this ASAT camo I was really interested based on the video how well it appears to work. For you who have this type of camo I would love to hear more feed back before committing to purchasing it. Thanks!
I doubt I can make you believe this but the problem with Multi cam is that at distance it "Blobs". Meaning it has no dead space color like the ASAT does. Sometime look at multi cam from a distance of more than 200 meters, the first thing you notice is the fact that it's just a big color blob, ASAT does NOT blob because of the open space color built into it.
Well I was impressed at how difficult based on the video how difficult it was for even myself to see the individual in some of the shots. I played woods all against one individual who used hunting camo instead and it seemed to work rather well in a woods all surrounding (.browns, greys, and yes some greens ) . I do appreciate the replies thank you
Deer do see in color. Their eyes identify blues and greens, along with UV. Deer are color blind when it comes to reds. For example, deer cannot differentiate between red and green if the colors have the same intensity. If the red and green colors are different in intensity, then they can differentiate them. Successful hunting relies more on scent and movement control, rather than camouflage techniques.
TheBasstead, deer actually see green but the tan reflects the green so you match the terrain perfectly. I've been using the 2D & 3D since 08. It truly reflects whatever you are around.
The only thing I hate about ASAT is that it is so damn expensive other than that it's the best camouflage I have ever worn. It hides you really from both animals and humans, I wear ASAT every time my friend's and I have a paintball fight and I'm always the hardest one to spot. It works a million times better than that worthless ACU pattern I don't what the army was thinking when they adopted it it's completely ineffective and multicam is not much better, the military should adopt ASAT.
+proudtobeautistic 2 year old comment, but just a correction: the pattern itself is called UCP. ACU is not in and of itself a pattern, it's the Army Combat Uniform. UCP is the actual pattern, the Universal Camouflage Pattern.
The UCP pattern came about being a general was getting kickbacks. It took a few deaths in combat before someone got mad enough to investigate. Since then that general has been kicked out and I believe is in jail. Thats 1 reason why the Army now has scorpion, which is basically multicam, except a few shades off. And multicam is vastly superior to asat.
The best camo depends on (a) what your prey sees or smells and (b) what environmental colors, shapes, and smells are present. Change these variables? Change your camo. This is why no fixed pattern or scent solves. So, either buy and bring an entire wardrobe and scent library, or use CamoBands™ to attach the right color, shape, and scent to your body securely, comfortably.
I think asat is geared primarily to hunters. To most animals multicam, woodland, marpat, atac, etc, etc look like giant monocolored blobs that can be easily distinguished from the surrounding terrain. Deer don't have thermals or NVG's, but they can see into the UV spectrum, which means you have to be mindful of the material and detergents you use on clothing.
Camo is just a tool. How it is used, will help yield better results. One is to, break up the outline...ie, shape so you don't look like a person. Movement is another factor.
Interesting concept. However, I don't trust their example photos. I need to find a cheap ASAT t-shirt and check it out with my own eye. Anybody do some independent reviews / evaluations with this stuff?
Just for the record, this video does not apply to every country. I and a semi-regular airsoft player and here in the UK, in a woodland environment (or the one of which my skirmish site is based in), green is by far the best way to go. DPM seems to work the best in my home environments. Even in the autumn and winter.
44kizza44 fusion camo is the best camo. This camo is for game not ppl brotha if ur a sniper ur not trying hunt animals. Your hunting ppl that's what this vid is about hunting game
the thing that bugs me about asat is that their most affordable hunting pants, there bdu pants, have literally the worst fit I've ever tried on. They're baggy on the legs and tight on the crotch and waist area. I was very disappointed because i love the pattern.
I don't know who owns the company now, but the original owner had some problems trying to source good factories for the clothing production. That was frustrating to me as well, as some of the items I purchased had terrible fit as well. Not sure who owns the company now, but seems that their idea of making a suit that was very loose fitting, and meant to be worn over regular clothing, was their best idea to get past inconsistent clothing sizes, fit, etc...
Because you are not always in the same environment, grey or even OD green, blends in better with surroundings. Don't be fooled by hunting camo, MOST animals don't see color...the reason why hunter orange is used.

Wish i had this in the Army. I give a thumbs up for this Over 30yrs.
I've had the leafy suit for several years and LOVE it!
It really is the best ! I’ve used it from Florida to Alaska and it works !
Why did they show a bunch of random pictures of the environment! Just show me the camo!
You're funny!
I've been wearing this stuff for a while when hunting whitetails. I dont understand why all camo patterns are green when deer dont even see in color. This stuff is the bomb!

Been a LONG time since I have seen some ASAT. This was the "Multicam" of the late '80's and early '90's. Never see too much of it, though!
I am a woodsball paintball player. I was looking into getting some really good camo when I began to think what better camo for in the woods then hunting camo VS military camo. Now coming across this ASAT camo I was really interested based on the video how well it appears to work. what about green environment? Like in western Germany

Some also rely heavily upon their eyesight as well.. coyote and wild turkey are some major examples.

Definitely picking some ASAT up from my local archery shop. And way to go getting Richard Dreyfuss to do the commentary on this vid.
Team Humphries in Richfield, UT ONLY wears ASAT camo! You won't be disappointed.
he sounds like hes in the mafia lol
He’s standing right behind you in asat

You wont be disappointed, the deer on the other hand are gonna have a rough season.

Definitely under rated.

This actually looks pretty good!
Does it works the same in urban enviourments aswell?
Yup
Wow that's very impressive!
Is this better than multicam? Is it hard to see while you move? What about thermal and night vision ? Is it concealed there as well?
I think asat is geared primarily to hunters. To most animals multicam, woodland, marpat, atac, etc, etc look like giant monocolored blobs that can be easily distinguished from the surrounding terrain. How durable is the 3d leafy? Will thorns and such completely thrash it? Is it easy to move in?
***** So funny and original
Please post more videos!
Any tips on hiding in positive space?
i wonder if asat is better than realtree hardwoods grey or natural gear?
Camo is just a tool. How it is used, will help yield better results. One is to, break up the outline...ie, shape so you don't look like a person. Movement is another factor.

Do you have military contracts too?
I think the camo is good.
BUT the photos are also terrible quality! All pixeled-up...
It's because this was film in Standard Definition. It doesn't convert well to digital.
didn't this used to be predator camo?
almost no camaflouge is perfect, easy to spot difference when you look. bam. ✌ HTGDE.

+44kizza44 Yes, no camo is perfect, depends on numerous factors
This camo works for animals not humans. If you want camo for humans you need a ghillie
WEAR GREEN IN THE SPRING DOWN YOUR WAY,AND IN WINTER WE WEAR CAMO.COOLDOUGLAS RAY.
44kizza44 fusion camo is the best camo. This camo is for game not ppl brotha if ur a sniper ur not trying hunt animals. Your hunting ppl that's what this vid is about hunting game
This requires us to see the product well...but you post videos in 480p. Good thinking there.
They were trying to blend into the negative space of UA-cam 😉
Animals rely on smell, movement and sound. This is why we have, "hunter orange".
But it won't work. In pine trees. It is to light you will stick out like a sore thumb.
Dwayne Philpot I only hunt in asat and I've taken 3 deer from pines???
It definitely works in pine thickets, as well as anything I've ever used.
whats the best camo for the caribbean
+SmoothRide Scooter I am a native and I would blend in with a tourist
Ganja, I'ma guessin...😎
the thing that bugs me about asat is that their most affordable hunting pants, there bdu pants, have literally the worst fit I've ever tried on. They're baggy on the legs and tight on the crotch and waist area. I was very disappointed because i love the pattern.

Anyone order directly from ASAT LLC ?
Because you are not always in the same environment, grey or even OD green, blends in better with surroundings.
Don't be fooled by hunting camo, MOST animals don't see color...the reason why hunter orange is used.
I’ve never heard anyone
Say it doesn’t work::
It's great stuff, IMO and experience. I've had a deer walk right up on me while ground-hunting, and it had no clue I was there.
Most animals can't tell the difference between green and brown.
Too bad this camo is way too expensive
Againist human eye.. Yes
You said 'all' camo patterns. Keep in mind that not 'all' camouflage patterns are designed for hunting as some are used for military purposes.
This works on animals...humans can be fooled by colors...
Looks to light to work any way probably sticks out like a sore thumb. I bet predator camo is better.
It's a fckin ghillie suit that's exactly what there for!!!
It works better for hunting since animals dont see in colour, humans do.. So for Human camo ASAT isnt that good.. its better for Hunting
I personnally think multicam is better
bullshit- if you will try this camo in Europe ( Czech Republic, Germany) it will be like snowman in black area
This stuff isnt even close to being as good as multicam or A-TACs FG.
