Life is bettter with Mike and Heather vlogs
You are too kind! We really do appreciate it and you watching, it means a lot to us 😁
babe wake up! mike and heather just posted
This makes me want fall to be here (instead of summer - I’m in Florida and trust me, it’s now summer 🥵). Fall is my favorite season.
Love that you still mail postcards to the “fam” and friends! 📬
✌🏻💕
Want to trade weather? It is currently snowing here in Buffalo...in April....
We could use some of that Florida sunshine 😁
In all seriousness, thank you for watching, we really do appreciate it!
You all should apply for the race. I have seen all 34 seasons. Don’t know if it is the travel agent in me. I left that industry for IT once I finally completed my Bachelor’s. You should go back and watch the early seasons. You make me want to go to Iowa. Good to know there are kind people out there. I need to stop watching the news. I think there is more that joins us than divides us.
Those were beautiful Irish Setters. Seems like you all are dog people. What to do with my pudding heads has slowed my progress in getting out on the road. I would take with me but just getting them to the vets office can be a bit of a fiasco.
Thanks again for another fun video.
Thank you for the suggestion to apply for the Amazing Race, we actually have applied! Phil just hasn't called us yet haha
We are definitely "super fans" of the show and have seen every season too! When season 35 releases we will have to share our predictions lol
You are right, there are a lot of kind people in the world, thanks for being one of them 😁
Couldn't ask for better weather. Y'all wear this grandma out just watching you 😂 I am part german & enjoyed the dancing-brings back great family memories 🙏✌🌎💞 Thx, Iris
You are right, the weather was perfect! We were a bit worn out after the sawing competition ourselves haha Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
The Oktoberfest looks amazing, you both did really great with the chopping of the wood, it makes a good keepsake, Lovely town. Looked like a real fun day
Thank you! We were really proud of our performance haha Thank you for watching as well, we really do appreciate it and you 😀
A 👍🏻 to Iowa!
Fun games, beer, and pretzels. Prost!
You are right, we had a lot of fun! Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it 😁
I love small town celebrations!
We do too! Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it 😁
The new blockbuster "Sawshank Redemption" 🙂
Very punny! We "saw" what you did there 😁
Thank you for watching, the vlog, not the new blockbuster haha
Wilkommen from Amana!
Would have loved to meet you while you were visiting!
Sounds like a great Octoberfest, I grew up about 3 hrs away and never knew about this place...on a visit list when I visit home..keep these videos coming! 😂
We didn't know about the colonies until researching fall festivals in the USA either so don't feel too bad haha You definitely have to visit, especially during Octoberfest! Let us know what your saw cutting time is 😉 Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
A nice fun time!
You are right, it was a fun time! Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate it 😁
Saw blades for days
Another amazing adventure. Mike & Heather sawing 🪚, me shouting hard faster lol. I'm super impressed with Mike's keg toss what a distance. 💪
Question because of your meal dilemma. How do you plan your food purchases? By distance, location etc.
Great to see another video so soon. Take care y'all 💕
You are too funny! He was the champion for about a minute haha
We typically have to purchase food every 4-ish days. We have a small fridge and therefore we can't fit that much so we find ourselves having to swing by stores frequently when we are on the road. We don't really have a set plan but just stop in when we start getting low.
If we know we will be in a more remote area without a grocery store for a while, like on the Alaska Highway, we will purchase more dry foods/things that don't need to be refrigerated and store them in our cabinet or under our bed. It really just depends!
Hope that helps! Thanks for watching 😁
I was there too! I live 15 miles away
Small world! We had a great time in that area, the festival was a blast. We are still upset we lost the log sawing competition haha
Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
First stop = beer tent! My kind of people! LOL Another amazing video. You seem to always find fun stuff to do everywhere you go. Would you mind sharing your research methods? Do you just Google what to do in each state or do you have other ways to find amazing things to see on your travels?
Glad we made the cut to be your kind of people🍻 😀 Cheers!
Honestly, most of the time our route didn't take us past well known tourist attractions so we had to find things off the beaten path in the locations we were going to be passing through. Sometimes we were a bit disappointed that we missed some popular stops, but it was a blessing in disguise because we got to do some really fun stuff that we wouldn't have experienced otherwise. (we tried to optimize our route to not backtrack/drive out of the way on the way to the next new state as much as possible)
When researching places to go, we often just google "unique things to do" in whatever area we would be passing through. We also love watching UA-cam ourselves and are sometimes inspired by other people's travels.
Hope that helps! Thank you for watching!
Brezeln or Brezn, as the Bavarian says, are not made from bread dough, they are made from "Laugenteig". It consists of flour, yeast, water, salt and baking soda for the lye. If the pretzels are made from bread dough, they are not real pretzels. Greetings from Germany, I'm looking forward to my tour of America more and more thanks to your videos. 😁
Wow, we never knew that about pretzels! That explains why this pretzel was so much better than any we have had before, all the other ones were fake haha
Thank you for letting us know, we really appreciate it and you watching 😁
Prost 🍻
Oktoberfest München...
Thank you for the well wishes and for watching, we really appreciate it!
A glass Bier glass is called a Krug, A Stein is made from pottery . Prost
and if it is a liter, then it is a "Maß" 🍺
Good to know! We have always heard the term "stein" used generically to describe a large mug of beer. We really appreciate you letting us know so we may be more educated beer drinkers at our next Oktoberfest 😁
Thank you for watching as well!
next time in Iowa go to Clinton........................you'll be in the nose of Iowa 👃🤭
That is too funny! We never knew that people referred to a part of Iowa as having a nose. We have heard of a mitten for Michigan but not a nose for Iowa! We will have to add that to the bucket list for sure 😁 Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
@@mikeandheather a best friend told me this, his family is from there. I've never been but I'll have to check it out when I'm in Iowa, too.
