- We are currently traveling in our 2013 Ford Transit Connect micro camper van through Wisconsin! We start by enjoying the beautiful fall weather with a short hike to a sandstone bridge at the Natural Bridge State Park. The following day we explore some of Lake Michigan's coastline at Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve. We ended our road trip with the #1 thing to do in Wisconsin, taste testing some cheese at the Wisconsin Cheese Mart in Milwaukee!

You made again a episode with a lot of love and passion. Even the background music is so appropriate and beautiful again. Greetings from the German. 😁
Thank you for the kind words and for watching, we really do appreciate it and you 😊
I would love to see the Great Lakes someday. I am 65 & never seen cheese curds. I love cheese so I'll bet they were tasty 👍❣️ Hope you all enjoy a blessed Easter 🙏🙏💞
You are right, the cheese curds were really tasty! The Wisconsin Cheese Mart does have an online store you can order from if you wanted to give them a try 😊 Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it! Happy Easter!
Your video was an absolute delight to watch, thank you for sharing your talent with us.
You are too kind! Thank you so much for the words of encouragement and for watching, we really do appreciate it!
Sorry you missed the best parts of Wisconsin on your short visit, also sorry about the snake, they are very rare here.
Next time you are in Wisconsin plan to spend some time in the Northwoods, and stop by for a coffee and visit in Stevens Point.
Bob
That just means we will have to go back :) Thank you so much for watching, we really do appreciate it!
Wonderful, as always!
You are too kind! Thank you for watching 😊
I love cheese 🧀.
I also love snakes 🐍.
Great video - safe travels 💕

Thank you for watching 😀
Wonderful video. I am amazed and envious on how large and how blue American lakes are. They look like inland seas. I am with Heather with the snakes. That's one thing I am scared off. The cheese looked really nice.
To be fair, the snakes from where you are from are probably a lot bigger and more terrifying than the small harmless garter snakes I (Heather) am afraid of! Thanks for watching and making me feel better though haha
Visit Door County!
Hi Mike and Heather. Well the time is here. I’m in Virginia today. Tomorrow I’m headed to Virginia Beach. I’m going to dip my feet in the Atlantic Ocean then it’s on to Chicago and Route 66. At the end of Route 66 I’ll dip my feet in the Pacific Ocean. I enjoy following you guys. Safe Travels.
Wow, that is so exciting! It sounds like your trip is off to an amazing start! We wish you all the best on your road trip, you will have to let us know when you make it to the Pacific Ocean 😊 Thank you so much for watching, we really do appreciate it and you! Safe travels and "take it easy!"
Too bad you couldn't make it to the pictured rocks in Michigan. It is so beautiful there in autumn.
Mmmmmm cheese! Can’t beat a good Stilton and a bottle of port. If you ever come over to the 51st state and you like cheese make sure you to Cheddar Gorge where they still age the cheese in the caves.
Too cool! Will do 😊
I get the feeling of turning back towards home. We did our big maiden voyage finally. Travelled CT to SC with many states in-between and when it was time to head home it felt weird. I spent the next two days tidying up in the van in the driveway but mostly just wanted to be in there. We had a blast out on the road. Already looking forward to next trip! Love your content. Catching up as I had no time to watch on the road. Busy busy busy.
Congratulations on your maiden voyage! It sounds like you had an amazing time! You are so right about coming home. It feels weird walking into your home and is nice for the first day but then it is immediately followed by the need to get back out there again. Hopefully you don't have to wait too long before you hit the road again! Thank you for watching, we really do appreciate it 😁
fried cheese curds....................now on my list.
As they should be 😊
Thank you for watching, we really do appreciate it!
Cheesy guys. But I enjoyed Wisconsin. Another state to add to my bucket list. Stay safe.
Too punny 😉
We really enjoyed exploring Wisconsin and are glad you did too! Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
I was born in LaCrosse NW of Natural Bridge State Park and my sister was born SW in Prairie du Chien. The best drive in WI is the River Road LaCrosse to Prairie du Chien along the Mississippi. You will see Bald Eagles along the bluffs. As well barges transversing the Mississippi, pretty cool and relaxing. The East side of WI is a little congested and... dude WI & MN is void of any problematic snakes. Yes squeaky cheese curds, I get them shipped to AZ, not fried you state fair New Yorkers. Continued Safe Travels!
You are too funny! After editing that video, now that we are home for a bit, we considered getting some cheese curds shipped to us as well once we remembered how good they are😀 If we could, we would also get the fried ones shipped, they were really good haha
When we were first researching road trips for possible routes we almost did the "Great River Road National Scenic Byway" which follows the Mississippi river the entire way through the country. It sounds like we missed out because it must go right through the area you mentioned. There are no shortage of places/things to do that we keep adding to our bucket list haha Hopefully we get back there to do that drive one day! Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
No Ill-will intended. Got crazy when you went from curds to Fried, Yes I get them shipped to AZ or have friends sneek them back on the plane 🧀
@@mikeandheather Back in 2015 I had a pop-up camper and followed the Mississippi from the head waters (MN) to the gulf of Mexico. Don't go past New Orleans it gets to convoluted. As well just go to the towns that are on the river, way to challenging to try and find the dam river between towns if it's not apparent. Thanks for the content!
Ok Peeps! You were in my neck of the woods! I understand you were just coming off the Alcan. And you were likely jonesing to get home. BUT, you could have gone home via the UP! The UP is one of the most beautiful places in the world! And the Mac Bridge! There is nothing like it!
You are right! Honestly we considered it but everywhere we read online said you need at least a week to enjoy that area which we didn't have at the time. We do eventually drive over the Mac Bridge but it is in winter so we will have to make a return trip there in the summer for sure haha
@@mikeandheather Hey! I’m bad! I haven’t looked at every video you have done. But I know you guys are geeks like me, so have you ever done a year of travel experiences? Like maybe how far you went and the auto expenses to get a per mile expense? Very geeky!
babe wake up! mike and heather just posted
Good morning sunshine! Thank you for watching 😀
I work in La Crosse, WI 😀
Small world! We are envious at your quick access to delicious cheese haha Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
Check out Wisconsin Dells when you return.
Will do :)
Did you go to a Kwik Trip??
No, we didn't! Did we miss out on something? Do tell so we can add it to our bucket list for next time 😊
Were your cheese curds squeaky? Fresh cheese curds squeak in your teeth. I grew up on them in Sheboygan Wi
Yes! The cheese curds were squeaky! That must mean we got some good ones. Thank you so much for watching, we really do appreciate it and the tip about the cheese curds :)
