All the best. An ENT helped me tremendously when I had vertigo. It was quite severe in my 40-50's. Terrible bouts. At any rate, the ENT prescribed eye movement exercises. I would perform them in bed, immediately after waking up in the morning. The first few days I did the exercises, I nearly vomited. It was a hideous experience. I hung in there. Things gradually improved and then improved some more. I continued to have a much milder version of vertigo on-and-off for a year (after starting the exercises). Eventually, I did the exercises every other day, once a week, etc. Then, the vertigo disappeared. Knock on wood, it never returned. I still need to be mindful when I pick things up, off the floor. My last full-blown episode was 15-20 years ago. Good luck. I hope you find the right treatment.

Love seeing you Tammy----missed you!!!!!!! 30+ years ago I was on I-10, west of Houston, sitting in traffic and my Spirit (aussie mix rescue) . I rolled down the window to let her look around because we were traveling 3 mph.....she fell out just as we began to move a bit faster (not over 15 mph). I stopped, opened my door in 3 lanes of highway traffic to retrieve her. She was 'stunned', luckily the young men behind me quickly parked their truck, blocking almost all lanes of traffic and helped me retrieve my girl. Once in the car we exited the vehicle to look her over. She was ok but I was so so scared. I was so blessed to have those young men stop traffic for me, even at the low rate of speed. I've never been someone who allows my pup to hang out the window, did it just because of the construction traffic. I haven't since. See you soon!

I'm very sorry to hear about your vertigo. It's just an awful thing to experience. I had my first issue with vertigo in my 20's. It was severe at times but the doctors said it was probably due to an inner ear infection and nothing could be done. I had it off and on for well over 30 years until it was becoming tough to walk or drive at times so I went to an ENT who diagnosed me with BPV or benign positional vertigo. He did the Epley maneuver on me and it did help for a while but then returned. I found the half somersault maneuver by Dr Carol Foster several years ago on UA-cam which has helped tremendously for my situation but I know everyone is different. I wish you the best and hope you find some relief.

It’s hereditary my mother struggled with it. This is one of the reasons I made sure, starting in peri menopause at 48 to find a doctor who specialized in bio identical hormones. I’m 67 now the best decision I’ve ever made. That 2002 study did a great disservice to women! Do your own research. I occasionally get a waive of vertigo but am not anywhere near as bad as my mother was at 67. It’s the hormones they control everything.

Tammy, my beautiful mother ended up with Scarpenia - she was a life long walker, exercise class gal but never lifted weights. Even 10 years ago it wasn’t the focus that it is today. She lost all ability to walk…. it was so sad. Thus my dedication to weights. Thank you for educating all of us continually. It is so needed. XOXOXO

Hello Gorgeous Miss Tammy❣️ The picture of Bindi is precious💕 She is watching over you. You were a guardian Angel 😇 for that precious dog! Thank you! So very proud of you for learning how to try different ways to feel & look your ultimate best! Your tutorial videos & outer beauty drew me in years ago, but it is the inner beautiful person you are that keeps me respecting you. You are a rare gem 💎 that I admire! Thank you 🙏 Sending you, Dr. Lou, Lulah & Harlee great health, love & joyful times together! Much love❣️

I haven’t watched you for maybe a year but just started again. And you are adorable.😊
I’m 68 and worked out my entire life lifting weights but YOU have really motivated me which is just what I needed right now. So thank you! I’m back onboard watching you and yes, lifting those weights at a little higher level!
Also I too have had vertigo in my past, even as a child, but not in the last 5 or 6 years. Zero vertigo! I was told by my dad’s hospice nurse to take a lot of omega 3 supplements. When I started to, the vertigo went away. Three 500 mg in the morning and three in the evening. (And plenty of water)

Love you Tammy! Thank you for sharing your routine and recommendations. I feel your pain, I’ve struggled with Vertigo and a bad episode of hives and always felt it was linked to changes with my hormones since perimenopause but was told it may be a virus. 10 years after that initial vertigo bout where I couldn’t get out of bed for a week and was so nauseous due to motion sickness, I was tested, MRI, and diagnosed with MS. When you mentioned menopause vertigo, I agree as that was the start of my change of life. I’m 61, post menopause and enjoy your videos. I will try the new sunscreen you recommended when I deplete the ones that I have already bought as I can’t fit anymore in my cabinets .😊

Missed you Tammy. I was getting mild vertigo and my chiropractor told me I could be dehydrated from drinking so much water. He told me to add electrolytes to my water. Recommended LMNT brand. I was already taking electrolytes before bed. But not throughout the day. After adding small portions of LMNT into my 32 oz. water bottle continually throughout the day, my dizziness has stopped. I sometimes forget to add more and the dizziness comes back. As soon as I add it, it subsides. I didn't expect it to work. Very grateful it does.

I’ve missed you Tammy. Glad to see you again. That encounter that you had when you were out walking your dog was troubling. I would have been in tears too after dealing with that. I’ve never had more that one dog of my own at a time and they always rode in a crate. The few times that The times that they did ride loose, they were restrained. I have opened the back window just a little on occasion, but not enough for them to get their heads out. One of my vets years ago, told me about a patient that he had just treated for having debris in it’s eyes due to the dog having his head out of the window. Think about all of the debris that hits your windows and windshield. People throwing trash or cigarette butts out. Any of that stuff could end up hitting your dog in the eyes or nose. I have also head of a dog stepping on the arm rest and accidentally rolling up or down the window. Unless the passenger windows are locked, the dog could get caught in the window going up and panic or jump out if the window rolls down. Anyway, I’m so glad that the woman’s dog was OK and that she heard you scream. Since the dog didn’t have a collar on, perhaps it had a microchip. 🤷‍♀️
That’s fantastic that your work out is going well. Kudos to you! 👍

Oh my gosh, your doodles look EXACTLY like ours! We have sisters----Lola (white) and Stella (tawny) and that could be them!
On another note, I used to suffer from vertigo and it started with VERY occasional bouts (years in between episodes but they would come on sudden and strong with being unable to walk and vomiting and I'd have to just go back to bed and sleep it off) and progressed to bouts closer together (a couple of times per year) with a handful of less severe episodes (I could take Dramamine or Bonine and still function somewhat) mixed in. Then it moved to kind of a more chronic thing where most days there was just a low level dizziness hovering in the background. I always felt like all it would take would be to bend down or turn around too quickly and it would throw me into a severe episode.
Once I started regularly supplementing with vitamin D all that went away. I can't remember the last episode I had and I'd been taking vitamin D for months when I realized one day that I'd hadn't had that background dizziness in several weeks. Just something to maybe consider for relief. I take 5000 IU of D3 per day along with a full spectrum complex vitamin K supplement (essential to take along with D). Those further north from the equator would likely need a higher D dose per day.

It's so good to see you Tammy…many years ago I was driving thru a residential area and a very small dog came out of nowhere and I thought I had hit it..it ran off. I was devastated! I pulled over and parked, got out of my car and started knocking on doors trying to find the owner. After a few doors, a lady opened her door and said that yes it was her dog. I told her how sorry I was and that if the dog was harmed in any way that I would pay the vet bill. Her response was that the dog probably deserved it because he ran in the street all the time. And not to worry about it. I was doubly devastated! I got back in my car and had to sit there and calm myself down before I could even drive. It was a horrible experience for me. I can't believe number 1 that I probably hit the dog and number 2, the owner didn't care….xo p

HI Tammy, for anyone having trouble with getting fiber and constipation, I was at the gastroenterologist yesterday. He said the best thing to take is the brand Benefiber. 1 tsp. every day. There is no taste and can be added to water or smoothie. I got some and fingers crossed! It is so true, that as we age, these horrible things pop up, that were never a problem before. Thank you for putting it out there. I hope your vertigo gets better soon. I get it some times, and I do the bed exercises where you hang your head off the side of the bed, knees up, while looking at the ground for as long as you can. Then reverse position and do the other side. It works!

I agree with you both my dogs are secured in the car whenever I drive anywhere with them.
One day I was driving, and there was this Truck in the next lane and he had his dog in the bed of the truck unsecured. The poor dog was running back-and-forth the bed of the truck. He looked like he was scared. Traffic was heavy and he was just driving along with this poor dog unsecured in the truck. What is wrong with people? Oh, that upset me so much to see that. Honestly, I think some people just do not deserve to own pets, if they can’t treat them properly.
I enjoyed your video. I hope you feel better soon. Vertigo is no joke. I only had it happen to me once, but I can relate to how you must’ve been feeling.
    Take care

I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer and no, that test was not easy .. lol. The anatomy/physiology (understanding muscles, tendons etc) nearly killed me and gave me a new appreciation for doctors! I need to take 2.0 unit education classes every two years to maintain my certification. I have no double that you can get a 'quicky' PT online, but just pointing out ~ not all certifications are the same. I'm not currently training people as, like you, I am in two locations so it would be hard to keep a client list, but nice to have the knowledge :-)

Exactly....not all online training is the same.. My sister passed it first time around...Her husband took it 3 times and never passed. Anatomy/Physiology is what Lou is teaching a the college...whew, I see what these kids are learning every week...it is not easy!

I have dealt with vertigo on and off for years. What does help me is my vestibular therapist. Not all physical therapists are trained in working with vertigo patients. I always sleep on my recliner when I have an episode, that way I can adjust the head rest to the angle I want. My recliner is electric, so I can get the best position.

My dermatologist and all the other dermatologists I follow on UA-cam, advised to reapply ALL SPFs only if you stay in sun or go in water or perspire intensely Anyway, Avene has a great compact SPF 50 that is more foundation than powder and I have dry skin and it’s great for touch ups if you were makeup. Also Garnier has a SPF spray that is available in Europe but you can find it online also

I've had bouts of vertigo and I'm 69. I got some 'exercises ' to do from an ENT doc and they really helped me get better. It shortened the number of days I experienced it. I haven't had any in the past 3 or 4 years .Crossing my fingers! I know what a pain it is to have it. I found the directions for the vertigo online. They were the same that the ENT doc gave me.

So glad that tou are talking about weightlifting. It is important for all women (especially mature) in order to keep the muscles. I had a dexa scan and found out that my bone density is a bit low - not osteoporosis yet. I was recommended lifting weights (as heavy as I could) and plyometrics/jumping. The impact from the jumping strengthens the bones. Do you jump also?

I am so impressed with the amount of weight you can do. As you would say, everyone is different. For me, I learned heavy weight lifting isn’t good for me as I bulk up. I have always had very strong biceps and at 65-1/2, I still do. Triceps..not so much. But my neck and shoulders really do get big. If I wanted to achieve large muscles, that would be great, but I prefer lean muscles. So I have to do lower weights and more reps to avoid bulking up. Not disagreeing with your approach, just relating to my experience over the years.

Hi Tammy, I suffered with Vertigo for over 30 yrs and have since found a PT that finally got rid of it for Me. One thing that helped me so much when I was suffering with it, was wearing a Sea Band that you would wear for motion sickness while traveling. It Presses on the pulse point on the inside of your wrist that stops motion sickness and dizziness, and it would stop that awful spinning in its tracks.

QUESTION FOR YOU: I see you are using the Ziip device which I have been curious about, but I am wondering if this has REPLACED YOUR NuFACE??? I have the NuFace and frankly never use it anymore.
