Well done. I’m surprised there aren’t some issues as you cut through both the soft pine and tough ply. But maybe the ply supports the pine just well enough. The two are looking good together. Great job!
New subscriber here... You have very interesting videos!! How do you sharpen your lathe tools? I was given a 50 year old lathe and I'm in the process of setting it up. I'm building a mobile cart to mount the lathe on and I'm trying to get the sharpening sorted out.. Thanks for the great videos! Cheers from Florida, USA..
I use a basic bench grinder with a jig from Amazon underneath. Everything was around £80. But you could easily spend double or triple that on a specific wood turning grinder. Once you're set up, the biggest challenge is finding an angle that suits you best and a system to repeat the same angle time after time. Oneway and other companies make some useful jigs. Best of luck!
Hey mate it’s just beautifulllllll🎉🎉🎉🎉
Whenever u do something from construction timbers
It becomes just perfect
Well done mate
Thank you so much 😀 I do love a bit of pine now and then, just to mix things up a bit!

Yes, I was very light with the cuts, as there are different densities and grain directions to allow for. Thanks for watching 👍
You aren't wrong. The colors on those "stripes" are amazing!
I think so too. Thanks for watching 👍
At the end I like how you showed both the before and the after photos.
That's something that I always do now, as it's a good reminder of progress. Thanks for watching 😀👍
The colors in the plywood are unusually pretty! What a great fruit bowl. 😊
Thank you! 😊
luxusní 😼👍
Děkuji mnohokrát
I think that is the best striped pine bowl so far. Well done and thanks for the videos. 😎
Thanks 👍 I really do like turning bowls from unconventional and mixed timbers.
Great combination, thanks for sharing. Full View and Like 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
beauty! been a big fan for quite some time !
Wow, thank you! 😀👍
That is awesome. When is the depth of your lathe? I don't think mine can do anything as wide as that.
12 inches (300mm) is the maximum diameter, and that bowl pretty much pushed my lathe to it's size limit
Très jolie bravo 👍👏
Merci beaucoup pour les aimables commentaires

Can i ask, where do you get your name discs from?
I am lucky enough to have a laser cutter/engraver, so I burn them myself on 3mm hardboard.
@@RDMWoodturning ah yes that would be a nice thing to have.
