- happy GALENTINE'S DAY! i wanted to sew a cute valentines outfit, so in part 1 of this 2 parter, i am starting with the top. I wanted to include a cute heart shaped cutout on the front to show off a little skin and used the burrito method what felt like 100 times to get this tank fully reversible. I also used a ladder stitch to close up a hole and used pretty ribbon for the side ties.
In part 2 of the series, we're going to work on the bottoms, and this is where the fun comes in, so subscribe to see part 2 on soon!!
Thanks so much for watching this video, i love y'all!!

This came out so cute! Can’t wait for part 2! Also, not a huge fan of pink either but this shade is really nice! It’s a nice switch up from the years of millennial pink we’ve been subjected to.
Thank you!!! I think the full outfit of pink will serve something, even if it’s pepto 😂 I feel like with pink it’s either hot pink or bust for me 🫶🏻
This is super cute! ❤ I'm definitely gonna put this on my "to sew" list!
This is adorable!!! I’m looking forward to this pattern being released. And kinda want to try a cutout!
Stepp this top is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I'm dying to sew it, when's the pattern gonna be released? 💙
this is AMAZING and the first time the burrito method has made sense to me. also, i love your new haircut! 🙂
Thank you!!! Hehe I’m glad it made sense!! I can’t believe how many times I used it on this garment hehe! Such a useful technique!
So cute!! Also how have I never heard of the burrito method before 🤯
It’s a game changer!! 🌯
I love your hair. It looks so cute 💘
Gorgeous! 🤩 And so well explained 👏👏
Waitttttt I love this
This is so cute!! Can't wait for this pattern to come out! Also, I love that you kept the trial and error in the video. You could have easily skipped that part, but it's such a real part of sewing. Very refreshing to see, and I say this as I take a break from sewing because I made a mistake with a pattern I'm modifying and I was a little too testy to seam rip atm... lol Anyhow, I'm excited to see the matching pants!
I hear you! It’s frustrating to make mistakes but they’re just part of the process! I’ve had WIPS I’m too testy to seam rip haha
❤
Beautiful
Rivas the pants won’t be released until Valentine’s Day, I would love to make this this weekend for my daughter to wear ON Valentines days 😊
Sensational
I love this! If this is make in a non elastic fabric how many centimetres should we "open" the neckline? I mean, it seems that your head pass fine for that hole cause of the elasticity of the fabric
I have used the same clearance with wovens! But taking 1 cm from the front neckline curve will probably help.
this top look so pretty, love it. what of fabric is it? fleece?
thanks! its a low-stretch polyester knit fabric!
@@stephtime thanks 💖
If it’s okay asking, if someone were to do this but with the sides closed. How different would the process be? What would be done instead? I love the fit of that top but I just know I wouldn’t like the sides open..
Hey! Sorry for my late response! You would probably have to close the sides by adding some width to the top and having a closure at the front or back instead of the sides :)
