Why dont guitar companies call these effects what they are? its an arpegiattor and its awesome. It works with all instrument signal chains. Synth keyboard guys and production guys know this. Why so much voodoo in the guitar world? tone wood is an another example.
After just getting into guitar and bass, I find that a lot of the guitar world is very uncritical and believes in "voodoo". Just look at the way guitarists talk about "tone" in general.
@@MrGallade475 it used to be worse I used to get a lot of looks for using diy effects and lfo filters. I see the bass community and synth guys being less prone to the broscience.
its very cool... im wondering about the usage, i mean, it could be great for electronic music, or drum n bass, but i see it clashing with the synthezisers or the arpegiator if there is one in the project...
The RC505 has one albeit a more simple version. It's great for adding some quirk to the loops while not filling up to much space. Which is easy to do when looping multiple tracks and over dubbing. Has made me interested in the pedal.
They charge a lot simply because they can. The parts required to build one are very inexpensive, comparable to buying a cheap plastic. Of course, profit needs to be made and developing such things requires some money(not really as much as you would think), no one builds anything for free, not to produce on a massive scale but greed also gets the best of people who run corporations thus their profit margin is typically ridiculously high. Funny thing is, if they stopped being greedy and set a reasonable profit margin they would sell far more units thus they would likely make more profit by selling way more. I quickly stopped paying large sums of money for A guitar effect. Something like this seems as if it would get boring quickly and not be very useful for making music, I wouldn't pay more than $20 for it and can happily live without it. If I were you, and as I myself are doing, I would just start learning about circuitry and common techniques in circuitry used to shape analog signals. This can be a fun hobby itself, then of course you get to experience your work by running your guitar cable through it and creating your genuine own sound(s). I know it's been, and still is, fun for me and just 6 months ago I knew absolutely nothing about creating functioning circuits.
I couldn't see myself buying a pedal for these functions, however, I do find myself noodling around on similar options in my multi-fx pedals like my H9s...
WHOA! BassTheWorld... read the interview with you in G&B; impressive, impressive! And ofc, being a guitarist, I forgot to come visit you - error corrected & subbed to one of the very 1st instrument-oriented channels on YT! Btw: Any chance/way to sync with drums? I wouldn't want to make any drummer HAVE TO play to my beat, imagining they'd feel really strange...
Pretty cool. Nah I get it, I have a synth that has a similar feature called x-gator and it's basically a step sequencer inside the synth itself. Very fun bass inspiration
This pedal is so Kewl! I ordered one right away! And it is very inspiring. And no joke I could probably have 2 of these and even 8 of these and find so many or multiple uses for it/them with many instruments.
Well, MIDI implementation blows. MIDI is done over the mini TRS jack and the USB D connector is only for importing patterns which has to be done by flipping all of the knobs clockwise except the select. So much for creativity flow or using it's full potential live. Yeah, the price point makes this forgivable, but still...
Really? The market of effects pedals that has been dominated by Roland for so long is now getting taken in several small but not insignificant portions of Roland's former profits. Many of the companies selling the pedals that eat at Roland's profit margin create wildly innovative pedals. It was only a very calculated move to produce a pedal that would show the world that they can be innovative too. And far as "taking chances" goes- c'mon! Even if they produced a pedal that flopped, the PR of looking bold enough to take chances like the little guys have to would more than recomp any losses.

Stereo via two amps or an amp with stereo inputs at the front end and also the effects return. The only one I am aware of is the Roland Jazz Chorus series, like the JC-40.
Any suggestions for VST's that do the same thing? I've tried breadslicer but it doesn't seem to want to do what I want it to. The effect is somehow delayed and it's literally the only VST that gives me this problem.
this is the same as roland space echo passed through the synthesizer do you think we're completely idiots? The God of pedals needs you to sell more pedals
We have proper SUBTITLES available in many languages!
May Filipino subtitles be added?
Let me show you the most outrageous thing the Slicer can do...
*writes entire U2 song*
A very cool versatile pedal, and what makes it special is you can store patterns in memory, tap tempo it, and control it via midi too.
Had mine for two days .. paired with a EH synth 9 pedal and some distortion !! Holy hell … I got NIN going on in my bedroom it’s glorious
sounds like a dream!
Even his voice sounds like a bass. Tremendous.
I have had it for a couple of weeks. CRAZY fun and inspiring.
So glad they re-released this! I’ve needed this so many times for years now! 🤩
So awesome of you to include the plush at the request of Lars' daughter.
“I hear you.. I mean I literally don’t” this type of thing is why I watch this channel
Combined with a looper pedal the slicer "smells" like really great fun. I could need it for an Intro and a few breakdown parts. G.A.S. is back ;-)
That’s a great idea. Looper pedal would make it easier to free your hands and dial in a good pattern.
5:11 Dalek Lee!

I can guarantee you that more people will opt to buy a 'SLICER' over an 'Arpegiattor'. We humans are susceptible to marketing...
Wow man, beautiful bass playing.
Zoom had a very similar effect in one of their muli effects from the 90s
I grew up in the '80s...I have never heard of this thing, but it seems like it could be fun.
Have the original. Love it but the smaller footprint of the reissue is tempting.
Sounds kind of like the "autoslap" feature on my old Boss GT-6B.

This looks like a fun pedal. Though at around $300usd, not affordable for many players. I don't get how pedals like this cost so much really.
$169

I use the one in my old Boss GT-6 multifx a lot, especially on keyboards!
Ausgezeichnet! It's a nifty arpeggiator. Feed it into a looper.
Interesting pedal and looks like a lot of fun to play with…. Where would you put this in your signal chain?
Me personally, I’d put it towards the end, but before reverb and delay
How to quickly synchronize it with your band? (Whether all are on click or not)
Tap tempo or MIDI
Very nice! Somehow I can't seem to get the slicer to sound as musical as Lars Lehmann is doing - well done! 😃
8x11, that’s roughly over a trillion. 🤣🤣🤣🙌🏾
Geat video , but is there a big difference between this SL 200 and the original SL20??? I' ll appreciate someone reply me

it can do tap tempo, so you can sync it up to a drummer and any other rhythm source
Got one. It’s great.
Awesome looking Sandberg! And what’s up with the Adamovic in the background?
At 3.15 ish you play through (bypass) while tge sl2 is still going, how is that done?
Loving this chanel too, quirky.
You can change the setting if you want the trails to stop immediately or come to a natural end
Great video, It’s giving me new ideas for the Slicer FX in my RC-300
Potato 🥔 slicer popped first in my mind 😋

Pardon me for my ignorance but is the pedal doing that percussion sound or is that added by you guys?
Great video 👍. A very tempting gadget. I don't often use pedals with my bass but this looks like it has plenty of mojo.

It’s a Sandberg BassTheWorld Signature Bass

Gotta give Boss credit. For taking the financial risk to try something like this.
