So many hours can be spent using this pedal before even scratching the surface. So much going on, so much to noodle with, so much variation...any way you slice it, this pedal will bring the inspiration for new and exciting ideas. With the distortion, it has instant industrial metal grooves \m/ Very very cool

Amazing demo, as always, Thomas. I have to say it is much better than the BOSS demo clip. They should have hired you once again for it. ;) I had the SL-20 for years and later used some of the Slicer patterns in the MD-200 but it was never the same. So, seeing the effect being re-issued as a compact pedal like this is just incredible! Will get one asap. Cheers, mate!

I’m blown away by this. It’s basically the tremelo I have always wanted, considering trems can be pretty boring. With a looper and drum machine this would be incredible

My wife bought this pedal for me a few weeks ago. She knows I like “weird” pedals. I’ve been experimenting with it a lot with both guitar and bass and have been having a lot of fun with it, especially when I start layering in other pedals like chorus and flanger.

This is WILD! You've totally sold this pedal to me. Is the footswitch always a toggle or can it have a momentary type press too? Absolutely fantastic demo and video!
Thank you Sean! It’s on/off not a momentary. I wonder if I can hack it via midi though, it does have a mini midi connection. Ooooof you’ve got me thinking now lol. It is a lot of fun though, great for starting ideas.
MIDI clock sync is the key of SL2. I just did a short demo for it. Really cool video btw!

Ive a Hardware setup of some amazing synths and Drum machines and there Nothing that brings out the creative possabilities than FX Pedals ,and i have a FEW !!!!😮 NOW THIS Peddle especially being a natural DRummer had me all over the place on if i should by one , it should have been a no brainer but until this Video i wasent convinced !!!! This was a *really* inspiring demo, much better than others I’ve listened to, as it really brings out the many rhythmic and melodic capabilities available here. Bravo!
I notice that you have created a bunch of presets for this pedal that can be downloaded through the Boss app. I very much look forward to checking these out once I have a pedal, given the great stuff I’ve already heard in your demo.
How did you create presets for this? Is there a proprietary program that Boss let you use to create these, and if so, is there a chance that a user will have access to this capability?
Also, when you create your own patterns, how many discreet steps are there in a pattern that can be programmed (or is it variable) and what sound modification. controls are available at each step? I hear pitch shifting obviously, but also filtering, chorus and possibly some other effects like glide, etc.
Thanks! Yes, I have an editor for it to create the patches. The streps can be 8, 16 or 32 I believe

Once again great vid. Just a couple more qs. When matching the slicer tempo with the pc beat how are you matching it precisely on the slicer? Also are you looping the slicer in the last song then just playing over the top?

This was just down to pressing the on in time with the loop lol. I gave it set up with midi now which makes it easier.
