- Diane Abbott was shut down with a scathing jab at her role in Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party.
Gideon Falter, the Chief Executive of the Campaign Against Antisemitism, had been called to give evidence to the Home Affairs Select Committee around the policing of recent Palestine protests in London and other major UK cities.
Mr Falter was arguing in favour of the police banning marches when Ms Abbott asked whether he and the Campaign Against Antisemitism want “marches of this kind completely banned”.
The prominent Jewish campaigner responded with scathing fury to Ms Abbott, pointing out: “We know very well you didn’t see anti-Semitism at all in the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn.”

I’m a Stoke Newington resident. Will never forget her comment back I think in the late 80s . The local hospital had a recruitment drive in Scandinavia and her comment was hideously white. Have barely voted in the borough in general elections because if the candidate is not labour then you are wasting your vote. Will be interested next time around when she will almost certainly be an independent how she will get on.

I trace the lack of serious MP's in the House to our EU membership, our Parliament was to be sidelined as a lawmaking body, Brussels would make our laws. So we did not need politicians qualified to write laws. We now need qualified law makers again we cannot have the semi literate and Numerate in Parliament we need quality people to be MP's.
