This event needs to go back to the Palm Beach Polo Club. It was amazing when it was there and easy to get to.

Of course you know that's never going to happen. As the event, not to mention the models themselves, got bigger, they simply outgrew the polo grounds, as nice as it was.
Lakeland is an awesome site and Frank was lucky to get it.

It's amazing to me that if a builder is going to spend thousands fitting out a great scale flying model - e.g. the Skyraider, that he or she couldn't spend the extra money to get a scale propeller for it. The Skyraider with the two-blade wood propeller looks rather stupid. There was also a Sea Fury in the same sad condition. Scale should mean scale from the tires to the propellers.

Scale props can be hard to swing, especially with gas engines. Scale props have a tendency to fail dramatically. The hard pulse they produce (the engines) is hard for scale props. Try and find a gasser P51 with a proper scale 4 blade...one that doesn't necessitate cutting up the cowl. Most modelers who spend the money and hours don't want to risk a flight due to a scale prop failure. Most have faux props for static display.
