Hi Christina
I’m still learning how to make Walgreens work. In your last scenario, how does the store coupon work if there are only 2 products for coupons to attach to? Thanks

Quick question would I get W$ on food products with a deal for W$ if I pay with food stamps ?
Thank you! 🎉🎉🎉
I had no ideal that states have different coupons in their booklets. For example, In my state, I didn’t get $5 off Bic Soilete razors. The cashier looked for it too. I was told each state has different coupons sometimes.
Hey Christina!☀️🙋🏽♀️ This was very well done 👍🏾 Thank You! 🥰🌺 See ya 👋🏽 in the next one ☝🏾

Do you have cheat sheets I can refer to? ~ New to couponing.

Thanks so much!
Hi! I am new to couponing, where do I get the manufacturer coupons. This video is so helpful.
I’m the Walgreens app under “savings” and then “coupons”. You log in to your account and then clip the coupons you plan to use
Great info!🥰
Thank you!
Thank You for explaining! Do you automatically get the spend deal or do you have to add it too your digital coupon...sorry confused?!
Spend deal will be offered in the ad or printed from the Catalina machine and given to you as a coupon randomonly.
Thank you so much!
You’re welcome!
I just found your you tube channel and have been binge watching. Can you use the Walgreens cash in the same transaction that you earned it from? In the example of the toothpaste, it is only free if you can use the Walgreen cash in the same transaction. This maybe a newbie question. Thank you.
Welcome to the channel. You can’t use Walgreens cash in the transaction you are earning it from. I consider something “free” if what I get back is equal to or more than what I paid.
Had to watch this a few times..I think I got it now..THANK YOU for these!! ( The last part you mentioned the combining the spend booster, is that still considering that you used a manufacturer coupon? Or if you combine the spend booster with the spend deal you cannot use the manufacturer copons?)
You can still use manufacturer coupons.
@SavingwithChristina Thank you! New Subie here, great contents.
I love your simplicity in explaining the Walgreen's program as I have been trying to figure it out on my own. However, When you have a Boost coupon on the app I know you say the required spend amount must equal the out of pocket plus manufacturer coupons amount spent. However, can the out of pocket be Walgreen's cash that you spend or must it be actual cash or credit that you pay? Also just to make sure I understand, you must subtract any amount you receive in store rewards from the equation to meet the required spend amount, right?
The out of pocket cannot be Walgreens cash. It has to be cash/credit/debit.
You have to subtract any store coupons (not manufacturer) & promo codes used. But, if you’re reviving rewards FROM your purchase, you don’t need to subtract those.
If you have 2 items and you use a digital store coupon and a digital manufacturer coupon is that applied to one item or both?
You can use 1 store coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon on 1 item.
HI! Great video! Quick question about the very last part of the video - You had 2 nexxus products, and were using a $5 Store coupon and 2x $5 MFR Coupons. Doesnt that mean you used 3 coupons on only 2 products, which you explained you couldnt do? Thanks for your help!
It’s been a while since I’ve made this video, so I don’t remember the exact scenario. But, a store and a manufacturer coupon are fine to use together
I picked up some reprints from the photo dept at WG & paid for them. Received a $3 off coupon if I spent $15.00, but didn't notice the expiration date, which was 'use today'! Paid for rest of my items at the beauty counter & to get the manufacturer online coupon to work, the associate had to call in her manager. So take note on dates of coupons while STILL IN THE STORE!
Oh wow. That’s a quick one
I am looking forward to some beach time with my family this summer! Thanks so much for the tutorial!
Here is my question- Why can you only cash-out a certain dollar amount? I have much more money in rewards than they are giving me the option to cash out.
Oh man I just asked this question too. It happened today to me and I just started trying to get WC. I’m so confused why it won’t cover my total if it’s not one of the items it says it won’t cover like alcohol or tabacco or dairy. I had none of those and it only applied $5 for me 😒
Because walgreens always wins
What does it mean when my coupon says monthly savings book?
Is thar the Walgreens coupon book u referred to in one of your videos? Also would that coupon be a store coupon and not a manufacturer coupon?
They used to have a physical booklet of Walgreens store coupons. They don’t anymore they are just referring to the store (not manufacturer) digital coupons
Hi Christina! So, if I were to do the scenario you detailed at the end of the video (needing to spend $20 to earn walgreens cash back) can I pay with walgreens cash? When I pay, will that walgreens cash does it act as a "store"coupon and deduct from that $20 threshold or will it act like "a manufacturer coupon / cash"? So for example that last scenario you gave (need to spend $20, have at least the same number of items as coupons)... could I then use my walgreens cash to cover the remaining balance not covered and still earn? Thank you SO MUCH for your videos!!
You would not want to pay with Walgreens cash when using a spend booster. It’s possible it’s just more complicated. But, the exact scenario I described in the video- you wouldn’t want to pay with Walgreens cash or you wouldn’t get the Walgreens cash from the spend boosters back.
Thank you so so much!
Thanks!
For your hard work in teaching us, thank you!
You’re welcome. Thanks for commenting
Thanks! I have a question: in a spend deal, can I pay with Walgreens cash reward and still get the Walgreens cash reward?
Here is the answer to that: ua-cam.com/video/1S6KpclLZXQ/v-deo.html
It’s not a short and simple answer
I wish I had seen this before I wasted my spend 40 get 20 😔 thank you so much for sharing!! ❤️
You’re welcome!
When you scan an item in Walgreens will it show you the coupons associated with that item?
Yes- if you scan an item in the app, you will see which coupons apply
When combining a spend booster and a spend deal, can I pay using Walgreen cash and still receive the WGC? Or is that a situation that requires cash payment ?
Combining both- pay in cash/card not WC
Last question: Can the BUY DEALS be combined with the spend boosters? ( If yes, can we use manufacturer coupons to bring down our out of pocket?) I appreciate you answering my questions.
Yes
@SavingwithChristina What I was trying to achieve worked.. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!! THANK YOU!
would you explain the 20% off $10.00 purchase. I must not understand what can or cannot be use because I am unable to get this to work on any transactions.
Any non-sale item that isn’t excluded like dairy, tobacco, etc
Can you use walgreen rewards and walgreens cash in the same transaction
Yes
Help! ~ I can't find the answer to this anywhere! have a "spend $25 get &5 WCash"... my cart is $27 after in-store coupons and manufacture coupons. I redeem $20 WCash making my balance $7. Will I still get my $5 WCash towards a future purchase?
No
Is the dollar amount before taxes or after taxes. For example your total was $19.50 but after taxes it comes out to $21.11. would you still get the $10 reward because you spent $20 after taxes or would you not because you spent $19.50 before taxes.
Always before tax
We pay Walgreens cash when using a booster ? Or a spend deal ? And still get Walgreens cash back ? Or will the Walgreens cash pay lower our amount ?
Watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/1S6KpclLZXQ/v-deo.html
You lost me on the nexus $20 spend . 2 -5 coupons 13.98 + 10. I got all that but when you go now and say that your not at 20 if you have a 5 coupon store coupon are different
Can I use store credit on a buy deal and still get WC ?
Yes
Thank you for explaining, this is so helpful. I have a question. I went to walgreens today and in 1 transaction I did 2 Colgate (Earn $4 Walgreens Cash rewards when you buy 2††) and 3 crest (Earn $5 In-store rewards when you buy 3) I only got $4 walgreens cash. I was told you cannot do two deals in 1 transaction. I tried to make sure that they both were not Deal of the Day - only the crest offer was. What did I do wrong? I did use $5 of $5 coupon to lower my balance.
You didn’t do anything wrong. They are incorrect in what they told you. The register rewards for the “deal of the day” haven’t been printing sometimes. They should have credited you or referred you to Catalina company. But YOU did nothing incorrectly. I’m assuming the $5 wasn’t a p&g RR. If it was, that could have caused the issue
@@SavingwithChristina honestly the $5 could have been a p&g RR, I'm not positive, I'm still a little confused by them (hence why I"m binge watching all your learn videos lol). So does that mean I can't use one of those p&g RR when doing those deals?
There’s a buy 3 toothpaste and get 5 cash back. I’m
Also buying other stuff can I use my Walgreens cash and still get that 5 back ? Since it’s not a spending limit
Yes
Can I used a online promo code in-store at the register ? If so, how? What do I tell the cashier ? Sorry, I am new at this. Thank you so much.
No. Unfortunately, promo codes can only be used for online or curbside orders
@@SavingwithChristina by curbside, do you mean you buy the products online through the app and do pickup at the store option ? Do you accrue Walgreens Cash way & Registered rewards this way? I attempted to make my first Walgreen coupon-er purchase today. I did okay🤣. I watched all three videos in this series. Thanks for the help.
Hi there, I haven't couponed at Walgreens in quite some time because quite frankly I find it very confusing, but I just went in, and I had a digital spend booster and a paper spend booster both for earn five when you spend $20, I had about $32 worth of product and after coupons if knocked it down to about 14, I wanted to use $10 in Walgreens cash in the cashier would not let me, is this correct? She says you cannot redeem points when you use a paper points booster.
Were all of your coupons manufacturer coupons? If so, you could have paid in WC bc you met the spend requirement in manufacturer coupons. She is NOT correct that you can’t redeem points with a spend booster. You can, you just have to make sure you “spend” enough out of pocket.
Ahh, that's what I thought, thanks, yes they were all manufacturers coupons.
🙌🏾
Can you pay with a RR?
I cover that in the video :) keep watching and let me know if you still have questions
Does using a Walgreens gift card count towards money I “spent”? Is walgreen gift card equivalent to swiping my credit card? Or is it more like using Walgreens cash? I’m working on a spend deal but I’m not sure if I can use my gift card. Thanks :)
You can use a gift card just like a credit card.
If it says spend 20 get $5 wcash is the $20 before digital coupons or it doesn't matter??
You have to hit the spend amount AFTER Walgreens STORE coupons and discount codes apply but it can be BEFORE manufacturer coupons.
If those coupons are for the same item can you then use a paper coupon on the second item?
You can use 1 manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per item.
@@SavingwithChristina so yes.
@@christinestrong9167 yes :)
Can you pay with a mixture of register rewards and Walgreens cash in the same transaction?
Yes :)
Thank you!
What about manufacture coupons on the app? If I have a bonus coupon for spend $20 get $6 Walgreens cash do I have to spend $20 after app manufacture coupons?
No. Before manufacturer coupons.
Ok thanks!!
So, can I redeem Walgreens Cash and Register Rewards in the same transaction?
Also, can you redeem more than 1 RR in a single transaction?
Yes and yes :) You just can’t have more coupons (including register rewards) than you have items.
I would redeem my RR first then use points after, correct?
Do you know if the manufacturers coupons can be used on multiples of the same product or does it only apply to ONE item per purchase? I bought multiples of a couple different products (Olay body wash, Axe, Old Spice) but Walgreens only applied the coupons one time on my receipt I thought the coupons applied to each one you purchased? Or was it because the items were part of a BOGO 50% off? I asked the cashier and she thought it applied to each but another employee said you could only use it one time.
I still did ok...$91 worth of items was $57.89 before tax after discounts and coupons, earned $13 worth of manufacturer cash back, $15.25 at ibotta and $5.67 Walgreens cash.
A manufacturer coupon typically tells you what it’s for. For example, $1 off one or $3 off 2. If it just says $2 off (and doesn’t specifics an amount), it’s for one item. And that coupon only applies to one item. You would need multiple coupons for it to apply to multiple items
@@SavingwithChristina Thanks for the reply! Follow-up question pertaining to Walgreens, once you use a particular manufacturer coupon, can you use it on another transaction/day or is it once you use it, it is gone?
Can we use the same coupons in app more then 1 time in the same day?
Most of the digital coupons are a one time use. If there is a Walgreens store coupon, you can also have the cashier scan it from their monthly coupon book. Most stores have one by the register. The Walgreens store coupons are able to be used more than once.
@@SavingwithChristina Thank you so much!
I need to exchange an item that earned Walgreens cash. I don’t want to lose my Walgreens cash. Is there a way around losing it?
I’d suggest chatting online with Walgreens customer service and see if they can find a solution for you.
Help!! Seems you didn't say it directly- yet on SPEND deals when to comes to paying whatever the total is- that can NOT be paid with Walgreens Cash. Is that right? Thank you!💝
Do, the “easy” answer is don’t use WC on spend deals. You actually can and I have a whole video on how to use Walgreens cash on a spend deal.
ua-cam.com/video/1S6KpclLZXQ/v-deo.html
I'm not familiar with "digital coupons" how do I get them?
Go to your Walgreens app and login. At the bottom of the app click on “shop & savings” from there you will see all the digital coupons. You clip them to your account in order to use.
What’s the difference with Walgreens cash rewards and Register rewards when I check out online it says estimated $10 cash rewards but the items don’t have that deal ? I don’t see anything that’s giving 10 back ?
These videos should answer all of your questions abt WC and RR. Do you have a spend booster coupon that’s giving you $10?
Walgreens Cash Tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/Hy2u6XPPZRI/v-deo.html
Walgreens Register Rewards Tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/LuOD2F7rNlw/v-deo.html
@@SavingwithChristina thank you this helped I had a deal clipped I forgot about it said 10 WCR with purchase of 15 dollars or more but I wasn’t sure if I had to meet it before coupons or after because it didn’t say spend it only said with purchase
I use Walgreens cash and didn’t get the register reward. It was a buy deal. Is it different with register rewards?
You should have. Sounds like the machine wasn’t working or it was the wrong items, etc. you CAN use Walgreens cash and get RR on a buy deal. (Buy 2, get X)
Christina, I will request a distinction from you.
With the Walgreens cash you stated that one loses it after 6 months of no Walgreens cash activity, easy enough. Now my concern: Does Walgreens cash rewards activity = just using the Walgreens app for any purpose?
Walgreens Cash rewards expire 12 months after they are originally earned. If you have not used your Walgreens Cash rewards in a transaction for six consecutive calendar months, then your membership will be deemed inactive and all accumulated Walgreens Cash rewards will be forfeited.
@@SavingwithChristina Thank you. My words - use it or lose it.
Hi Christina! Newbie here. I’m still confused on how much I’m able to redeem in Walgreens cash cause when I’ve used it, the cashier always says I’ll redeem whatever the computer wants.
Redemption amounts are 1,2,3,4,5,10 and $50
@@SavingwithChristina so if my total purchase amount is 11.67 how much in wags cash can I use? Should it be $10?
Hi, I hope u can help me. You have been super helpful but I’m still confused on one thing. I think u already answered it but I just can’t get it. I wish I could send u a pic but I don’t think I have the option to do so. I have a spend deal of “spend 25 and get back 7 Walgreens cash”. My total in my basket is 32. I have 1$ MF COUPON. It looks like I will get the 7 back BUT IF I HAVE 10 Walgreens cash, can I use it???? Also, I have no store coupons I thought … but this is where I get confused, there is a section on the Walgreens app where it says “see saving detail” and it says “ Walgreens promotions & coupons” and it’s says 30$ saved. Is this the number I should be looking at????? If yes, how do I tell how much walgreen cash I can use??? Sorry, my brain can’t get to the point of understanding. I’m sooo close!
If you need to spend $25 and your total is $32, you can use $5 in Walgreens cash. ($32-$5 = $27) ✅ using $10 would drop you to spending $22
I have been shopping and using coupons at Walgreens for several years and what you say may ideally be true but doesn't work most of the time. No one who works in your stores has a clue about this program and don't really care. What do you do when you are supposed to get cash rewards using a coupon and for whatever reason it doesn't get on your receipt? I don't usually spend large amounts at Walgreens in one trip so if I specifically have purchased $40.00 of qualified products and I use a get $9.00 cash reward when spending $40. The clerk scans the coupon and acts as if all is ok but then I get home and I did not get the credit for my $9.00 cash reward. This happens frequently and it is not fair since I only bought the items to get that cash reward.
I’m not sure if you answered this in this video (and if you do just ignore me) but why when you check out to use Walgreens cash does only a certain amount apply to the total? My example I did today actually… Dasani water 24 pack, 1 Arizona tea, nice brand cookies and a liter Coca Cola. Total $10 and change. Only $5 of WC applied. Just wondering why? I didn’t have dairy except maybe if they consider cookies dairy but those were $1. The cashier even said I wonder why it didn’t apply the whole total. I’m so confused about this and want to learn so I don’t go up to the counter and not have enough to pay for everything Lol. Ok now I’ll be finishing the video. Thanks!
Ohhh ok I think I just saw it. It’s only certain amounts that you can redeem. 1-2-3-4-5-10 and so on. I guess that makes sense. But now that I know that I can try to work around that. Ty so much for the videos!
You’re welcome!
On a spend deal does the total have to be after coupons?
I spend a while discussing this in the video. You have to reach the spend amount AFTER store coupons but before MFR coupons.
@@SavingwithChristina I have watched both videos!

I was in the store on 9-25-21, after my purchase I earned $6 walgreens cash rewards that states spend $20 or more on your next purchase valid for 7 days, and I planned to spend today 10-2-21, now I noticed that the expired date is 10-1-21. To me the cash reward expired one day early, why would the date of purchase to be the 1st day instead of starting on the next day after the purchase?
No idea. I always just look at the expiration date and try to not push it to the last day either. I’ve definitely let one expire before 🙈
@@SavingwithChristina Thanks, I have been thinking all week I had 7 days and today would be the 7th day, until I looked at the cash reward

do I have to ask the cashier to put them on my account. How do they become usable. Can I use them all at once on a multiple items
Ok so I get spend boosters all the time. And I spend more than the required amount, but I don't seem to get my walgreens cash... I'm getting frustrated
Paper or digital? Are you clipping the digital ones to your account?

Hey, hey!
You did a very good job at explaining this spend and buy. Thank you so much!
is anyone else having issues with getting on the website?
I am not. Did it get better?
@@SavingwithChristina omgoosh. It's my internet. I hadn't been having an issue. Don't know why now. Well, that's embarrasing.

Sounds to me like store coupons are a pain in the a$$ if doing a speed deal.
The RR can be. The store coupons require more math. But the digital manufacturer coupons are totally easy
