The respect of a lot of people towards Hendry is ridiculous for what he was and still is a Legend. When someone like that comes on to a video calling Hendry washed up and Osullivan this and that, yeah il say something in response to them. For me I just like coming bk watching old videos especially from someone as gd as Hendry, or if I'm warching Osullivan I don't speak about him the way people speak about Hendry on his videos. I prefer to get on with people tbh, this world is falling apart fast, but yeah sometimes I just have enough and say how I feel, pretty one guy just goes on all Hendry videos and talks shit about him for no reason and spouts Ronnie this and Ronnie that, all the while calling Hendry washed up and crap etc, the guys a fool that trolls people on Hendry videos that are only trying to watch someold classics and positive chat on here...well most of the time until he shows up or another hendry hater, at least most people on YT videos are civilised...at least I think so lol. Peace ✌
He is really a good potter, better than any of the players when he is on form, but only a cueball control master can get 100% potting success rate, just like basketball, only slam dunk can get you points easily. That is why people's always say Ronnie is better, because his potting rate will be higher compare to Stephen Hendry.
@@peaktongtan9768 It's not clear who you are talking about here? Why is it always they were really good potter(Hendry I assume) but master cue ball control gives 100% pot rate(Ronnie I assume) Just to go along with you since you guys never really can just shake hands and go yeah Hendry was best then, Ronnie is best now, it's no no Ronnie is the best? Ok so what if his potting is NOT as gd as Hendrys? Then it doesn't matter how good his MASTER ball control(you guys are funny considering snooker is many things like not getting out of snookers will not give you 100% even with MASTER CONTROL) So....get in clear the frame if not a lot of players will put the ball bk up the table away from the reds but Hendry could mostly( I'd say 99.9% lol just teasing) pot the long red or color and go on to control the ball as well. Yes Ronnie is a fantastic ball controller but Hendry on form was really hard to play against as he just got in and demolished the balls it was hard to play against. Like I've already just said earlier, more respect for the players and the game so many great players so many great games played, Hendry is a Legend for what he did and all Ronnie fans can do is mock him and push stats and oh he better this n that well yeah you could say that about a lot of the snooker players a lot are being modest and now Ronnie has 7 WC they are sealing the deal yeah he's best blah blah blah but tbh there have been some whirlwinds in the past just because they never reached Hendrys ir Osullivans 7 WC they were fantastic with the ball so yeah easy to say someones better when they have been on the circuit for 30 years! Ronnie Osullivan is the most consistent players ever at the top, but to me not thee best, to me Hendry was better in his prime, Ronnie is fantastic don't get me wrong but he knows he wants no.8, Why? Because he still wants to prove he's better! Well yeah give most people with his talent theyd most likely get 8 or more. Hendry as many have said did NOT have this luxury it was taken from him psychologically but he still trooped on and did commentary, so give the guy a break and a bit more respect, Ronnies earned but so has Hendry. ✌
Being a ROS fan , to see this guy back playing is fantastic , and to see ronnie vs stephen hendry in the 2021 world championship final surely would be snookers biggest moment … ?
Looking forward to seeing Hendry playing again, the work he’s done with SightRight’s obviously given him a lot more confidence again, he’s said before that he only played six shots properly in this break because of his yips struggle but it didn’t stop him making the 147 so theoretically with more confidence in his cueing he could get somewhere, he looked a lot better against Jimmy White in the seniors , his long potting was good albeit he lost but what goes against him is that he hasn’t played competitive tournament snooker for nearly nine years and it ill take time for him to get comfortable again but no audience might help him initially and he won’t be disadvantaged when the crowds come back because it ill feel the same for everyone, he might enter the Welsh Open.
An interesting fact by coach said to Hendry that his weight gain most likely had a big effect on his cue action because you’re he’s now cueing in a different position than he was before without even realising it. So to anyone who says they used to be good when they were younger but not now then it could be down to your weight gain which is something we all go through when we get older.
Only 36 balls to pot...when you see a maximum it seems a lot more!....if you play snooker you will know how easy it is to pot a ball...2 even!....yet the more you pot the harder it gets....the pressure by the time you reach the colours must be immense!!!! And with an audience and the world watching!....the slightest twitch and its all over!...Mr cool 😎 he's earnt his place in the history of the game no doubt about it👊✌

A TRUE legend welcome back whatever happens he is still the man.
When someone else gets 7 world titles we can then talk about who is tbe greatest player of all time, it's all about winning titles and the amount of tournaments you played in.
Ronnie and Stephen may never be beaten, probably the best there will ever be.
Hopefully someone special comes along , but I doubt it.
Ronnie just said hi 👋 😳
Great effort from one of the masters. Still got it and great to see what it meant for him.
He was the greatest …
Who would’ve known that:
- He would retire in the same tournament
- This would be the last maximum before a crucible crowd for 10 years
- His opponent would become World Champion
He had nothing left to prove, there just wasn't anything egging him on to do better. He passed Davis in 99 then just went off for a stroll turning up for those cheques hanged around with all the ones who struggled to beat him then they started to beat him lol Can't stand the one on YT that say Hendry is washed up and he had a weak era and the rest. It's not helping he's hardly practicing on his comeback he's overweight drinks smokes etc so will be at 60% max if he REALLY wanted to get bk to the crucible even just to qualify he would need to hit 80/90% of his peak younger self as 80/90% Hendry would still reach a Q final but he would really need all his time practicing to hit 90%+ but has other commitments and his health, so yeah 80% is a gd target the 60% he's doing now will only win him the odd game here and there not gd enough and he knows it! 👍
@@L1ghtOn3 Is that the only thing that motives players? To prove something?
I'm not challenging that. Genuinely curious. Isn't love of the game and competition with peers enough to keep a player interested?
@@NR-rv8rz To answer your Q, yes all of the above, sometimes many factors come into play but my reasons for these replys like this is I think you might want to go bk and read ALL my comments, some guy and usually Hendry videos always talking trash, so most likely I'm replying to him. That's pretty much YT for you people see a response to someone and think they are on their high horse etc when passing judgement, tbh most of the time I can't be bothered with it, other times I'm like na this guys an idiot coming on these videos calling a player I watched grow up who was absolutely brilliant be mocked and called everything under the sun and they are spouting facts about how many this and that blah blah blah nonsense, absolutely no respect whatsoever, so yeah you've prob seen one of my mid response bk to some idiot.
I had a 147 last week. A red, a brown and a black WEY!
Foul. Award opponent 7 points for black and not a red ..
The real goat,
Best match player ever
That was just pure class
So sad, that this legend is not in the game snooker 19
Always preferred the old eurosport logo
Hendry’s got the best cue action out of anyone in my opinion
To think that he retired immediately after this tournament. Crazy.
My greatest respect for him for doing that. Ending the career on a high note, unlike most players that just slip down the rankings and fade away.
Was still a great player as this 147 shows, but he wasn’t consistent enough to win anything when he made his come back.
Why can't he qualify is he not any gold now
Хендрі - великий майстер, історія англійського снукера!
Being a ROS fan , to see this guy back playing is fantastic , and to see ronnie vs stephen hendry in the 2021 world championship final surely would be snookers biggest moment … ?
A few real testers in there but all in all a beautiful thing to watch.
well that concentration still gives me chill
what a man!
This man has nerves of steel
His shot at 17 was so close to his final black to finish the 147 at the 2008 crucible.
Phenomenal technique. A different art from Ronnie’s.
bruv this is the deadest 147 ever techniquely but great pots for sure this aint pool tho
Greatest snooker player ever.
one of the two greatest players of all time 😉
Второй после Ронни
@@ВИЛЬГЕЛЬМТЕЛЛЬ-ф7ш- Someone had to bite..
Amazing Bingham went on to be world champion
This young man!! This young man…..
This is the first time I've seen pink on its spot in a 147
An interesting fact by coach said to Hendry that his weight gain most likely had a big effect on his cue action because you’re he’s now cueing in a different position than he was before without even realising it. So to anyone who says they used to be good when they were younger but not now then it could be down to your weight gain which is something we all go through when we get older.
Just brilliant
My Idol...!!!
Welcome back
Brilliant player
pure genius!
Only 36 balls to pot...when you see a maximum it seems a lot more!....if you play snooker you will know how easy it is to pot a ball...2 even!....yet the more you pot the harder it gets....the pressure by the time you reach the colours must be immense!!!! And with an audience and the world watching!....the slightest twitch and its all over!...Mr cool 😎 he's earnt his place in the history of the game no doubt about it👊✌
Best player in my opinion. Always looks faultless and methodical and calm.
Superb viewing 👌
I got a 147 few weeks ago down the pub...
I only used 6 darts 🤣
Crazy how he retired that's same year. 50.000 people could play snooker every day all there life and not ever hit a 147 he hits it and says he's not good enough to win no more. Crazy legend
And thats why he WAS the greatest
Yes no doubt stephen henry the best ....
Pure class.
Some say hes boring but i think he just oozes class around the table.
