given 'reasonable' fps, unless the flight physics have been greatly improved, I don't see a reason for a flight simmer (not a game player) to find 2024 have any significant advantages to 2020- and especially for those of us who don't live in cities with great internet bandwidth. I DO like the idea of a 2024's electronic flight bag though.
When you max everything, in some locations it is breathtaking, then even with the enough bandwidth, when servers struggle you see terrible scenery ... At this point, no need to move to 2024 i guess.
Cities haven't improved much (if at all), but man does nature look good. The new ground texturing and trees are no joke honestly a game changer and th lighting in specific conditions is soo much better aswell.
The physics engine is not greatly improved. I’ve only been able to test it with 3 planes I fly in real life, but the behavior in those is still as untrue to reality as it was in MSFS2020. Even very basic things like fundamental stall behavior still aren’t modeled correctly. For example, the DV20 in the sim always drops a wing in a stall, while in real life this simply doesn’t happen in straight and level flight. The DV20 doesn’t asymmetrically stall, it just gently descends.
i am preparing scenery coparison video (will be uploaded today) for 20 cities around the world. Some cities look worse in 2024 I hope it is because of the streaming and server load we are having since the game is new. I agree on nature it is really good.
@ looking forward to the video. I also think it is due to a streaming issues. I’m sure in a few weeks time most of the big bugs will get fixed. I’m mainly bumping into issues with airplanes - missing functionality that was previously already added by Asobo in MSFS2020 and some buttons bugs. But will get sorted I’m sure.
Well according to the performance metrics of my system without DLSS etc they are nearly the same. But in general MSFS2024 use resources better and feels smoother. i can max everything 30 fps locked easily.
0:00 Low-End
1:30 Medium
3:00 High-End
4:30 Ultra
6:00 MAXIMUM
System: Ryzen 5900X | RTX 4090 | 32GB RAM @4K Resolution
I find 2020 to be more accurate to real life locations that I'm familiar with. 2024 just spams trees everywhere
Thank you very much for the comparison. I have been waiting for a video like this since its release.

Fs 2020 seguirá con larga vida, mejor contraste mejores texturas mas fluido 😍😍😍😍
Why does medium look worse than low
Love the 2024 so far re graphics. Much more realistic. Streamed cities need to be fine-tuned. But the nature is amazing. Seems like a real deal.

We can see that "much more realistic" is not true, in this video.
great they made the lighting even more brighter so unrealistic
I need the fps counter and also the cpu usage/gpu, can you do the same? thxs!

This is for ultra. I will do another for presets.👍
@@AOZ67 Compartion videos are very very useful! thanks!
Does 20 run better than 24?
It is not allways about the looks but also about the fps.

when I done my test, 24 was smoother and faster. I too maxed out everything and got 30 fps.
what are your specs?

@ thank u!
I have a ryzen 5 5600x and a geforce 3050, but u think it will run msfs2024?
Damn cashgrab
idk but i think 2020 graphics are better
When the prequel looks better than the sequel 😂 dumm
