It is so easy to be awe struck by Freddie and the others when you first start listening to Queen, so you are right, going back and revisiting the finer points and actually taking time to hear the lyrics beyond that incredible voice is a very good idea. I really love this song and when I first heard it I was kind of "well, it is a good song but never going to be a favorite." Since then, I have listened to Roger's harmonies and the actual instrumentation of the song as well as paid attention to the lyrics and it has bumped up into my top tier of Queen songs and of course this performance defies the very term live. Everything about it seems like it came from a studio recording and video. This song was like a prophecy for what has happened to radio today. So very sad, radio was everything for people for decades before television and even beyond. I was bombarded with decades of music throughout my life by listening to radio, songs I would have never known about or never searched out but heard countless times while listening to my favorite radio stations. Now people hear music from a handful of groups that they search out and they miss out on so much beautiful music. Or you get to hear the top rated Spotify songs of the week that will never be remembered in 5 years let alone 50+ years. Losing radio as a main source of music has been a huge blow to art and culture.
My favorite version of Radio Ga Ga!! It’s also the perfect example of Freddie’s command & conquering of the crowd! FYI - Lady Ga Ga derived her name from this song! Huge Queen fan! 👏👏 🙌
Why did you cut it short - it is only 20 minutes in all. And it is considered the best rock performance ever - Elton John saying "bastards" and David Bowie saying - "How the hell am I going to follow that?"- It was a charity concert supporting the africans suffering from hunger. 72.000 attended at Wembley, 90.000 at JFK in Philadelphia - and 1.9 Billion !! viewers all over the world via satellites - - I was one of them. All the best performers attended - - but Queen stole the show. No sound gear of their own, no show as they were used to - just themselves - four musicians working their buts out/off?? Sorry I-m danish . You must find the whole set - - and Freddie and Brian singing late in the darkness: "Is this the world we created?". Enjoy. I like your reactions.

Saw this as it happened and it still gives me chills. Show-stealing performance by one of the all time great front-men. RIP Freddie you legend.

@@deborahallen3318 ?? Isn't it the artists that can limit the access? - it may be better to find it on Queen's website.
