@@fairhair1539 some people hate the how clunky and tedious the controls are and hate the fact that the combat system is too easy. This game is only truly good if you are able to immerse yourself into it. If you just see it just as another game well then ofc it falls flat to some other games, especially modern ones which many compare them to this masterpiece of a game.
This isn't a video game, it's a beautiful and tragic experience. One that will never be topped. Thank you CD projekt red, for being one of the most trustworthy developers and making one of the greatest games of the century.
I bought the game with all DLC at launch, and never played it until last year. I'm done with the main game, and Hearts of Stone. I'm trying to enjoy Blood and Wine to the max before I finally finish. I am ecstatic that there is a fourth game planned.
i just started playing 15 days ago, 100 hours of game play and i feel i've done nothing yet in the game i have so much to see and i feel so bad every time i play and progress in game because every time i play i'am getting closer to the end!!! and if i finish this game i have no idea what i'am gonna do next.... because it is so masterpiece from game desigh to music to story to literely everything you can possible imagine. it makes you feel, it makes you feel like you are in the game!! cried in some scenes because it get's so emotional to the game and player himself !!! this is not a game this is not from our world this is not waste of your time this is feelings ,dreams ,inspires this is something else this this is WITCHER 3 and i can die happy now For many years my favourite game was SOTC now it's witcher 3 i never played a game like this before NEVER and NOBODY will make better game for decades.
This game shall never be forgotten. It will always be the greatest game ever made for me. Thank you CDPR for everything and take care of Geralt, he's getting kinda old :)
Imagine in 50 years you and your fellow friend, retired, with kids and enjoying the rest of your life without worries. You - You remember The witcher 3 ? Your friend - Hahaha yes i remember, i used to do all the side missions before proceeding with the main. Those were great old times. You- indeed, those were great times...
Actually it would be more like. Me - Hey Remember Witcher 3? Friend - Yeah I finished it again last month Me- Yeah I started another play through of Witcher V last night. Still cant tell which ones my favorite.
Whoa! This must have come together during quarantine too which makes it even more impressive. Def one of the most epic game soundtracks in recent memory
When someone told me, that a role playing game is about me playing a Role in a world, I scratched my head. Most games that use RPG elements, only use their combat mechanics, progression systems, ect... Games like Skyrim give you the freedom to play any roll you want, but in the end everyone plays the same Role - an overpowered badass who is the swiss army knive to all the worlds problems. The exact opposite of playing a Role. The Witcher III was the first RPG I played, where I actually felt like playing a roll. People depended on my Roles's skills if they matched their problems but outside of that, they minded their own buisness. The stories were formed by charackters that allowed me to influence it, when the circumstances matched my Role. I left a footprint in it's world. Not as it's sole worlds savior, but only as one person of many - one Role of many.
In witcher 3 you do legit save the world tho. Also, skyrim is a game where it's meant to be like that, "roleplaying" as a legendary warrior thats meant to save the world in elder scrolls but then again thats your choice, not like you cant go other routes.
When I started playing The Witcher 3, I just fell in love with the soundtrack and that's why I kept playing it for a while. You have to give the music composers credit for bringing this game to life with great music!
I loved this game...and those expansions were just cream and cherries on top. Geralt got a fitting end to his story...this game will forever be in my heart.
Have you ever seen an anniversary celebration of Assassin's Creed by Ubisoft or any other game? I haven't... this is a little thing that reminds me of how CDPR takes their projects really seriously.

@ENLFRO I didn't have any problems with the controls
@@fairhair1539 some people hate the how clunky and tedious the controls are and hate the fact that the combat system is too easy. This game is only truly good if you are able to immerse yourself into it. If you just see it just as another game well then ofc it falls flat to some other games, especially modern ones which many compare them to this masterpiece of a game.

Not comparing them to Witcher but Planescape Torment and Disco Elysium are also damn good RPGs, where your decisions leave a footprint on the world
I agree. Witcher and Mass Effect.
Divinity original sin is painfully underrated
In witcher 3 you do legit save the world tho. Also, skyrim is a game where it's meant to be like that, "roleplaying" as a legendary warrior thats meant to save the world in elder scrolls but then again thats your choice, not like you cant go other routes.
Couldn't explain it better.
