had the honor of working hospitality for Judas Priest back in 2014, great group of dudes especially Richie, glad to see a signature of his made available 🤘🏻
I remember meeting the Screaming for Vengeance band lineup after their show in Salt Lake City, Utah back in '82. I got to spend about 20 minutes in total around the band and Rob, Ian, and K.K. were so damned cool. Glenn was not ready to meet fans yet but the drummer on that tour (Dave Holland) was signing autographs too but I didn't get to talk to him. But, that day I got their autographs and it's one reason why I became a bass player and I would love to meet Richie one day as well. Richie seems like he's killer to be around and a great player. Great bunch of guys in my opinion.
Richie is a very awesome person and musician.Priest are very fortunate to have him.We all still love and respect KK.He is an icon and legend. We miss him.Richie is doing a wonderful job in Priest.I have to admit that he is very impressive live in concert. His offstage persona is very classy too.
Yea ... Ritchie’s a total class act . KK is tough to replace, Ritchie has come in and has been tearing it up in his own way. Keeps the band going. Still making some great music.
I got mine last weekend. What a nice, nice guitar. Absolutely flawless. I have a Gibson Les Paul Standard, a Malmsteen Strat, a Gibson SG, an Explorer, a Suhr modern, an ESP Eclipse and let me tell you, this Epiphone Richie Faulkner Flying V doesn't take a back seat to any of them. The satin finish on the back of the neck is particularly sweet. RHRF!
I discovered Richie due to EMG TV and learnt 2 of his songs low rider and dark embrace to improve my skills. What a guitarist ! you guys of Epiphone have nose lol this guitar is SO PERFECT but i still prefer the floyd rose 1500 series... only on Schecter :/
The guitar as he says is perfect for him.. as he is perfect for Preist. Love this guy. Quite fancy one of these Vs. Epiphone is cranking out some serious axes atm!
What's with the battery compartment? My EMG pickups are run on 18volts, two batteries needed, so Everyone, how am I going to do that with this guitar? It is a very good flying V, is it a Ltd edition or on general release ?
Alot of companies do that to keep the cost down. Your not getting a hardshell case unless your buying an American or Japanese built guitar. I'm talking ESP Japan or USA, Ibanez Prestige or J Custom, Fender, Gibson, PRS, or Jackson U.S.A.. Other than that you'll be hard pressed to get a hardshell with a Korean, Indonesian, or Chinese built guitar.
since I saw this guitar in the "Organas Rage" clip, I knew that I definitely need one of those. went today to my local music store to buy one of those. they had two guitars in stock and both I tried. the result: disappointed and angry I took my money home..... sadly the guitar felt like an maximum 500€ instrument with an 999€ price tag, wtf. - Fretbuzzing - Stringlevel way to high (almost 1cm) even the guitar-tech-guy spend 45 minutes with the truss rod and the Floyd Rose without big results. this was definitely the last time I spendet time on epiphone or Gibson who became like Apple (high prices for half the quality)
indonesia ho hum. Well, try to find a Gibson with an ebony fretboard these days. So, ebony board, jumbo frets and EMG 57/66 were enough for me to order one even if its $1K.
baileyvillewyldeman Nah, those are the EMG 57/66's. Way better than the Het set. The Het set is just a retake on the 81/60 whereas the 57/66 is a whole new creation. Just think of PAF's on steroids.
Seems like a fine instrument. But the irony is that with Preist, Richie mostly plays his similar Gibson V without that band logo on the headstock, yet the customers of this Epi version (who are not in JP) have to sport the band's logo on the headstock. I'd certainly prefer this Epi V without that JP headstock logo. Oh well. This is not an issue about Judas Preist themselves.
I don't understand why all these top tier guitarist are getting signature models from epiphone?! Are they really playing epiphones as thier main guitar onstage every night, doubtful.
rayze 101 some artists make a epiphone signature so that their fans can afford the guitars Dude..imagine the price if it would say Gibson on the headstock..
epiphone this one almost went perfect, almost!! but WHY the judas priest logo?? cmon, im playing a judas priest guitar? i love the band but cmon, if i buy the guitar i expect it to be MY guitar, not someones else, or worse some bands guitar. the inlay is ok, but the priest logo... this is exactly the problem about buying signature guitars.. its such a disappointment, because the guitar is absolutely awesome.
He's a great player and by all accounts a great guy, but why are they insisting on him portraying KK right down to the guitar? Come on JP, let him be his own player. This is unnecessary.

Epiphone are making all the best V's just now!
Richie is a very awesome person and musician.Priest are very fortunate to have him.We all still love and respect KK.He is an icon and legend. We miss him.Richie is doing a wonderful job in Priest.I have to admit that he is very impressive live in concert. His offstage persona is very classy too.
About time he got a signature model. The guy is a beast on guitar. Damn, the GAS is bad now...
John Overthinker Gear Acquisition Syndrome.
LOL , you havent been around the block have you ? ;-) GAS = Gear Acquisition Syndrome
Is it me or did anyone else noticed a sudden boom in signature models from Epiphone/Gibson?
dntinpalevo epiphone is off the charts last couple years and recently I agree.
Looks like they’re doing the same thing ibanez did in the 80’s. Get a lot of Artists playing your guitars to boost sales.
I think Epiphone is gonna be what Gibson becomes. Gibson is failing fast..
Jeff Waters of Annihilator also has a signature Epiphone V. Anyone else?
MetalMan73100 Bjorn Gelotte signature Les Paul is beautiful. Check it out.
Hes an awesome guitar player
Priest ... priest ... priest! Amazing guitar player, nice guitar \m/ ♥ \m/
Yea ... Ritchie’s a total class act . KK is tough to replace, Ritchie has come in and has been tearing it up in his own way. Keeps the band going. Still making some great music.
Hell yeah Judas Priest

I love where the Jack is placed
One of the most beautiful guitarist I’m ever seen 🥰
Had no idea this was available, that's awesome.
This is exactly what i hoped for after seeing Ritchie perform with his gibson model, absloute stunning guitar🤘❤
oh my god i was hoping for a richie faulkner signature v
I really love Richie Faulkner.Calm, intelligent and a monster player. ROCK ON !
Seems epiphone is building better guitars than Gibson these days.
Gibson is bankrupt, so...
One of the most beautiful flying v period
Beautiful V. He did it right.
Shame we didn't get to hear it
Chris Davies ua-cam.com/video/_cviYaFU3RM/v-deo.html
one the beautiful guitar
The guitar as he says is perfect for him.. as he is perfect for Preist. Love this guy. Quite fancy one of these Vs. Epiphone is cranking out some serious axes atm!
Ordered one.
craig fisher awesome! Rock on and Rock out
Ritchie is KK of today fantastic guitar player. He is amazing guy as well. He understands how important Priest are to the metal world
Jusr got her for my birthday’s gift 😁🤟😝🤟
Richie fits in Priest just like spam and eggs! Fantastic!!
This is the best signature model that Epiphone put out so far and the only Epi in the last 10 years that I would buy alongside the Ultra Les Paul.
Killer player in Godlike band, killer guitar, I'll buy one!
Great player, cool dude only born in 80 ! Making him 2 when Screaming came out!
Debating on getting this,it has everything i want on a guitar and also need it on my colección.🤔
What's with the battery compartment? My EMG pickups are run on 18volts, two batteries needed, so Everyone, how am I going to do that with this guitar? It is a very good flying V, is it a Ltd edition or on general release ?
What does it sound like?
where are these available to buy in the UK?
I want one.
Now THAT is an Epiphone I’d own.
guitar released date worldwide?
that is a sweeeeet axe!
Any chance for a new Firebird coming up soon? I'm a big fan of that guitar shape and the Gibson models are far out of reach for me.
Fuckin play it! 🤘🏽
Its been months I want this guirtar so bad, please Ephiphone keep one for me while I'm saving the pennys to afford it 😭😭😭.
How much?
Super video...but am I the only one the is thinking of Nigel from Spinal Tap? Haha
No tone control - awesome!
richie KICKS ASS
Michael Myers phenomenal
$1,000.00 dollars and no hardshell case? Seems like a nice guitar tho.
where did you find the pricing on these beauties?
Metal Dad you mean it just comes with the soft case?
Alot of companies do that to keep the cost down. Your not getting a hardshell case unless your buying an American or Japanese built guitar. I'm talking ESP Japan or USA, Ibanez Prestige or J Custom, Fender, Gibson, PRS, or Jackson U.S.A.. can be get for 870 dollars
Dear Santa
Won't lie: pretty Nigel Tuffnel vibe going on.
It's really The Painkiller logo? Just saying
I'll fucking buy it!
Can you buy another one for me too?:)
since I saw this guitar in the "Organas Rage" clip, I knew that I definitely need one of those.
went today to my local music store to buy one of those.
they had two guitars in stock and both I tried.
the result:
disappointed and angry I took my money home.....
sadly the guitar felt like an maximum 500€ instrument with an 999€ price tag, wtf.
- Fretbuzzing
- Stringlevel way to high (almost 1cm)
even the guitar-tech-guy spend 45 minutes with the truss rod and the Floyd Rose without big results.
this was definitely the last time I spendet time on epiphone or Gibson who became like Apple (high prices for half the quality)
This is all very well, but I’m afraid I’ve only seen him with the Gibson version of this!
Pip Pipster it just came out like 4 or 5 weeks ago
indonesia ho hum. Well, try to find a Gibson with an ebony fretboard these days. So, ebony board, jumbo frets and EMG 57/66 were enough for me to order one even if its $1K.
looks like it has the james hetfield set of emg's in it ???
baileyvillewyldeman Nah, those are the EMG 57/66's. Way better than the Het set. The Het set is just a retake on the 81/60 whereas the 57/66 is a whole new creation. Just think of PAF's on steroids.
is it Korean or Chinese?
Most likely Indonesian.
made in china
Tipton and K.K. Downing ..............
Seems like a fine instrument. I'd certainly prefer this Epi V without that JP headstock logo. Oh well. This is not an issue about Judas Preist themselves.
"So, I contacted Epihone".....yh right, more like the Gibson custom shop
日本でも 買えるのかな???
I don't understand why all these top tier guitarist are getting signature models from epiphone?! Are they really playing epiphones as thier main guitar onstage every night, doubtful.
rayze 101 some artists make a epiphone signature so that their fans can afford the guitars Dude..imagine the price if it would say Gibson on the headstock..
Brent Hinds and Lee Malia both use their Epiphones live. I don't know about the rest.
Taking Gibson's sudden fall in build quality of their guitars, I'd rather play an Epiphone on stage as well.
is it me or does Richie look like a metal of Shaun from Shaun of the Dead?
is it made in china..?
Indonesia.
With only 22 frets it feels like limited to me
And we don't hear a single note played on it... hmm.
Epiphone have been killing it lately with sig models
este tipo no emvejece
He endorses it but doubt he'd be caught dead using it on stage
epiphone this one almost went perfect, almost!! but WHY the judas priest logo?? cmon, im playing a judas priest guitar? i love the band but cmon, if i buy the guitar i expect it to be MY guitar, not someones else, or worse some bands guitar. the inlay is ok, but the priest logo... this is exactly the problem about buying signature guitars..
its such a disappointment, because the guitar is absolutely awesome.
nunofrg you are literally buying someone else's guitar.
Then don't buy a signature guitar? It's not that hard.
Who? Where's KK Downing? Glen Tipton. This guy is not Priest........
This looks better built than those US made Gibsons that are worth 2x-3x... I HOPE this is made at least in Korea
Indonesia. Which I like better than Korea these days.
He's a great player and by all accounts a great guy, but why are they insisting on him portraying KK right down to the guitar? Come on JP, let him be his own player. This is unnecessary.
He looks a lot like Steve Morse, soon Mr. Faukner can be baptized by the Priest as Steve Downing.
That is a very tasty looking V, and i'm not even a fan.
K.K Downing you are not!
Made in China ☹️
Indonesia. Slightly better build quality.
The Tommy Thayer of Judas Priest Cant even get an original guitar fake KK
Judas is the fella who betrayed Jesus. Just saying no hating.
Christ is pretty lame.
I would have betrayed him too.
this guy has nothing to do with the real band...what a joke..noo resale on that piece of sweatshop firewood he is pushing.
Fake Gibson, Fake JP. Bullshit. Good player but so much of a bullshit ad for a Chinese guitar
George Lackey blame Henry J for letting endorsers go elsewehere.... their Artist Relation is dead....
SHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Let people enjoy things.
Epiphone I will gladly take one for free if you want to send me one
