    I got my Ariel in Feb, it came broken and I had to drive down to states after Ariel staff mis diagnosed an issue as well as sent the wrong replacement part, and bike catastrophically failed and caught fire. staff argued with me for weeks until i took to warranty depot and staff immediately pointed out ariels faults. when i sent in diagnostics they agreed it was warranty work and they would fix if i drove it down and stayed for 3 days they could finish all the work, so we set up a day with the staff, that worked for them. but after dropping off the bike and waiting three days they hadn't even looked at it. they then claimed they would drop bike off with in 30 days 90 days later they claim their offices flooded, and bike was lost. now five months later i might be getting a replacement, but I have just been trying to get money back. bike came with polymer nylon hub motor not metal geared hubber motor like they claimed when i asked about it they said they can replace parts without notification or updating their site. I took my complaints to BBB and fire chief in charge of Victoria, and got Ariel banned from BC and now it sounds like after reviewing the bike, it does not meet basic safety criteria for Canada and has been banned through Canada. So although if you get what you paid for its a good bike, chances are you won't get what you pay for, and their customer service and mechanical staff are incompetent arrogant and don't care about safety of their customers.

    i'm here from your Revv 1 vs Ariel X class video and I still can't make up my mind between the two. I'll mainly use my bike on streets, which had me swaying towards the revv 1 because of the tires; but the horrid customer service reviews are scaring me (a lot of people have had to replace the chain, non-responsive customer support, etc).

    You know I softened up the rear shock as much as possible and I'm digging it just fine also,I have same bike I remember when you did your first video on it ,you sold me with the speed,only thing is I'm pretty sure that's the 48 v like mine. The 52 v has a few different features but still a sick bike,nice job on no flats especially jumping .cool content thanks

    • @MikeFede
      @MikeFede  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks!! That’s good to know about softening the rear suspension. This was the first iteration of the 52v. The new shock configuration was shortly after. This was sent to me from AR, but I’m not sure if or how many in this configuration of 52v were sold if any. I think it was assumed they would just do 48v and 52v in the same bike. They changed to specs some to make if a different bike instead of just power output. Similar thing with the v1 and v2 grizzly. Same power output but changed the motors and front suspension and a bigger battery for the rear. That was more because of supplies, but I think the subtle changes like that go un noticed by most unless you have ridden both. Anyways, lol sorry to talk your head off. Thanks for the support🤘🏽🙏🏾

    After a year and a half, my x-class's battery connector and the terminal melted into plastic and I'm not the only one this has happened to. I had to toss the battery because I thought it would explode. Tech support has so far been useless, they wanted $200 to send my battery back for inspection and I told them three times that I don't have it anymore, I just want to buy a new battery and terminal connector. Now they want $800 for a battery when a US competitor is charging less for a better one.

      I have a similar problem with my monitor. The motor icon blinks and the speedometer says 30 mph even though I'm not moving. The bike will shut off when I'm riding every now and then. I pull the cable to the Speedo and it resets but I'm concerned that there maybe a bigger problem, but this Company just won't help it's customers, they only want to sell bikes.

    Ariel rider WILL NOT sell parts to non original purchasers. I dm'd them months ago about this. They gave a weird answer stating something about stolen bikes. This is the problem I had with ebike companies months ago. No parts sold to people with second hand bikes. They all talk the big talk about saving the environment but cause a lot of waste. There ain't nothing being saved...only created. Something MUST be done about this problem. All the reviewers on UA-cam never have a discussion about this growing problem, none of them. I guess I'm part of this problem. If no one else speaks up what will be done? I like my ebike but afraid to what may come after 1 year. This is why I think ebikes are still a niche market. They are still for people that tinker and know how to Frankenstein an ebike together with aftermarket parts. I'm afraid to recommend ANY ebike to anyone who asks.

    • @MikeFede
      @MikeFede  2 роки тому +1

      If you’re looking to ride and pedal a lot then I’d say this bike isn’t for you. It’s not that ergonomic for pedaling constantly for 10 miles. Not to say it can’t be done, but I just think it’s not the most comfortable. I’m also 6ft. The bike sure is fun to zip around and use pedal assist on occasion.

The bike runs but intermittently shuts off. I have tried to contact Ariel Rider but with no luck and I'm about to go SCORCHED EARTH on this Company on Social Media because I just need some help and answers. Two of my friends bought x- classes because of me and now they don't have time for technical problems but they'll answer the line for Sales. Know any sites I might get help? Thanks Gary

    Great review. How reliable is this company. I want to purchase the Xclass. The reviews are up and down online. How was your experience. Best regards

    • @MikeFede
      @MikeFede  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! Ariel rider has been around for 10 years or so and has a pretty good reputation. some of the people that put reviews out there are more opinionated versus fact based. Are usually just give people the facts and let people make up their own mind. I do think that the bike is a great bike for the money. It’s easy to upgrade and they have a very good reputation for quality. It all really comes down to what type of bike you are looking for and at the end of the day, if you plan on upgrading parts. My personal opinion is that I would choose this over a super 73 for sure. I think super 73 is way over priced for what it is. The super 73 definitely looks better but you can mod the X class to look however you want. I think if you have the opportunity to ride one or each of the bikes that you’re interested in definitely do that before making a purchase so that you have the best idea on what works for you. I hope that helps. Have a good one!

      It’s a take for sure. I did have to replace the crank arm because a friend used it on a trip and took of the pedal to lay it flat in his pick up truck. He stripped out the pedal boss when putting it back on. But other than that, I’ve put a lot of miles and it through a lot of abuse. lol I cycle ( pun intended ) through about 12-15 bikes for videos and everyday use, so thats why this one is at 1k in this video. around 2k now, and the others around the same give or take 100-200 miles. Flats can happen for any reason. I have had 4 flats in a session on a mtb or bmx, and none on this, while getting 2 on the grizzly. It's just hit or miss. Shred on :-)
