3:13 I like to think that the creepy "and here we are" is in forgo's twisted dreams which we hear in his chaos soul form even because he's been trapped for ages, an animal in a cage for visitors to look at, who usually hear the whole speech about lab discovera and ID-86 from the tour guide voice but all forgo could hear when trapped was the "and here we are" once the guests left the elevator, driving him insane torturing him and basically giving him trauma and pain that carries out in his final attempt at revenge when all is left is his mind which is sad af to think about
I always had a second thought the True Arena's are actually cannon. Just like the name usually says it, and some storylines you can see with bosses that further explain motives or the boss itself doesn't feel like just an extra non cannon story. To me they are more explanations. Such as Haltmann being destroyed if you kill the Star Dream Nova thing. That extra storyline gets revealed in the True Arena
@@iris1568 And Galacta Knight's appearances are consistent with the previous appearance of the character. Leaves as a crystal, reappears as a crystal next game, leaves outside crystal, reappears outside in next game, left as Morpho Knight, reappears as Morpho Knight.
@@thomashost272 Yes Galacta Knight as well. It's a cool detail to show his battles with Kirby aren't just a replacement boss or such. His battles are canon
@@thomashost272 I feel like those are Meta Knight being a mentor to Kirby again and continues to test out his strenghts in each game. Which I find very cute and cool. (Or when being mind controlled attacking Kirby from orders such as with Star Allies and Planet Robobot)
I wonder if the reason why Morpho Knight is always following Kirby is because it wants to consume Kirby and take its infinite power, but because Kirby is pure hope and light with a strong will and infinite power, it can't. So it constantly follows Kirby, because it has a knack for meeting Galaxy-Level Threats, absorbs their power, add it to their own and tries to take Kirby or even Meta Knight by force, that way because both of them have a will far too strong to be over taken. Even Elfilis tried taking over Meta Knight's mind, but he was far too strong for Elfilis to do so. So its a sign that Morpho, like Elfilis, needs those with great power, but weak enough wills to take over and absorb to become stronger.
It seems to me that morpho knight needs the body of the strongest creature to materialize however its always trying to get kirby but fails and has to settle for second best maybe thats why meta knight wants to become the strongest..... To get made into morpho knight by the butterfly. But that raises more qeustions such as why can't it posses kirby and does it have to do eith the fact that both galacta knight morpho knight meta knight and kirby are all of the same species????
Thats woudnt make much sense tho because galacta knight has a "pure soul but dark past" he was the strongest hero who heplped seal void termina and afraid of his power the people he helped sealed him in a crystal getting them exiled from there own race leading to hyness freeing termina
I've got a theory for Morpho Knight and his gimmick with evaporating the final bosses. Basically, the orange butterfly is possibly the most powerful being in all of Kirby. But he is also the weakest since he's a small butterfly. So the butterfly attempts to become the most powerful being by absorbing the power of any nearby powerful characters. Hence why he absorbs Galacta Knight and Soul Forgo. But... That's wrong. Kirby is the most powerful since he could technically beat them all as he did before. Well that's exactly why the butterfly keeps landing on Kirby. The butterfly is constantly attempting to absorb Kirby, but it can't. Kirby is good. The butterfly is evil. We see that good and evil contrast each other many times, which explains why the butterfly can't absorb Kirby... That or there would be no more Kirby games if he just got absorbed by a tiny butterfly. There's also that Morpho Knight is just doing it to stop the bad guys from being bad. Judgement stuff. Which would also explain why he'd try to absorb Kirby before some disaster in the intro of kirby games. He's trying to absorb kirby so he could stop the evil. And that ALSO explains why he attacks Kirby in his fights! He's not trying to kill him, he's trying to weaken him so he can absorb him! Maybe they're like two halves of a whole like Elfillin and Elfillis. Morpho Knight is missing a form since his face is all black but Kirby has a form but no armor. Two halves! But I'm probably just stretching a bit too far. Eh.
I'm not entirely sure about the two halves part, BUT I think you might have something with the butterfly trying to absorb Kirby and not being able to 👀
The “and here we are” thing got to me because knowing that Forgo was conscious that entire time while being contained it must have heard that phrase thousands of times, driving it crazy… Also you make mention to similarities to Drawcia souls, but I also saw similarities to Marx souls with the cutter attack and the black hole attack. Very interesting stuff.
Drawcia and Marx were the first characters to become Souls, and most Soul bosses use attacks belonging to them, like Drawcia’s meteor and rain attacks, or Marx’s cutters
@@dustymcwari4468 I was watching some soul fights just now and noticed that. It's very interesting, and makes you wonder if they use past bosses as references or if they had planned everything from the start.
@@HonterDax I guess it’s on purpose, maybe when a character becomes a Soul, they start becoming a very similar entity, and gain some of those attacks, depending on how far they’re in their transformation, as some at best just have one or two Soul attacks, while others have a lot of those, also maybe the closer they’re to complete the transformation, the more their bodies become more of a blob, Drawcia, Void Termina, and Forgo having that as their default, while the likes of Marx and Sectonia only taking that form when performing the Drawcia attacks
6:20 Actually Morpho is more like something more like a judge of death, his japanese name is a fusion beetwen butterfly and valkerie, its also partially inspired on a phoenix (All the fire and the feather like sword) attacks using ghosts in both games and their descriptions add more to the fact their job is to vast judgement on dying or ending things. An about galacta if we consider the descriptions of morpho on star allies as canon they already took galacta's power as thier own, being what makes possible to morpho the that form, so maybe galacta is truly gone fused absorbed by the butterfly, and morpho's absorption was more to neutralise them rater than absorb their power, being maybe why they could escape
Morpho's figurine says the butterfly takes that form by absorbing the most powerful soul it finds. It doesn't matter who it absorbs, so Morpho's appearance has nothing to do with Galacta Knight.
Pretty much that. Morpho Knight normally looks like that. Which I guess isn’t that much of a stretch since Meta Knight and Galactia Knight also look the same despite so far not being related on the surface. But there JUST MIGHT be something deeper to look into. Like what exactly are the Kirby Knights. They all have a similar design and have similar powers, but as far as we know, aren’t closely related.
@@HappyXID i mean if you're refering to galacta knight, tecchnically this game makes him canon by defualt if this is the same butterfly from the past games. but if it isnt not only does that mean that galacta knight isnt canon but also this is the first actual soul morpho absorbed.
I also think that is possible, as they studied ID-F86, who is able to teleport (like the Lor), is shaped like a heart (and therefore looks a lot like Nova's heart when it is in the ethernal capsule), and created the Forgo Dreams (the Fountains of Dreams also create dreams). Also, it is heavily implied that this civilization used the teleportation technology they obtained after studying ID-F86 to move to other world/s (maybe Halcandra). By the way, a Kirby's Return to Dream Land novel which mentions the ancients and may confirm/deconfirm this theory is going to be published this 27th April.
12:40 those other orbs we see in the background after chaos elfilise are destroyed are probably the soul's of the beasts we see squirm to get out which is depressing, fecto forgo was made from leon and other beasts, so if leon never made it out first, nor did the other beasts used to make that monstrosity, which also means since chaos elfilis relied on the beasts to become whole without elfilin, leon got lucky his body was freed from control just before chaos elfilis was formed as clearly he used the other beasts to produce his soul form, hence why we see their bodies squirm as apart of his soul when destroyed, their bodies get destroyed with chaos elfilis, with their only escape and freedom being as souls to scatter away rather than regaining their bodies back :(
@@skistorm739 well with leon his body was saved before chaos elfilis was formed, his body wasn't used to complete it, and the squirming scene we see the animals bodies get destroyed in the fusion that formed his soul, leon's soul peices had bodies to return to, these animals don't hence why they just float up and away unlike elfilis's soul who had elfilin to go to, so I don't think they're going to come back to life

Just want to point out that Morpho Knight might trust Kirby after the fight it and Kirby had. Between the flavor text for the Morpho Knight Sword and the fact you get the blueprints for it after beating Morpho Knight kinda give that sort of vibe. And not only does the Morpho Knight Sword fit the "Infinity +1 Sword" trope by giving a moveset that combines the Meta Knight Sword and Gigant Sword into one with the added bonus of both Sizzle/fire attacks from various moves *and* a passive healing from each strike Kirby dishes out on top of only needing to be upgraded *once* due to the attack already being at max which is shared with the Crash Copy Ability (more specifically Time Crash as you need 1200 Star Coins and 3 Rare Stones for Crash while Time Crash is already at max power and only needs 2500 Star Coins and 5 Rare Stones). But there's another trope known as "I Fight for the Strongest Side!" which is a sub-trope of "Defeat Means Friendship", unlike the previous times Kirby faced someone (which includes in this game) Morpho Knight just kinda... goes away after the battle, fading away like it does in Star Allies, not being made possible to be befriended in any capacity. All it leaves behind is Chaos Elfilis and the blueprints for its sword.
Don't some of the other bosses drop ability scrolls even though they don't trust you and are still actively antagonistic? I don't think it's any different here
I wonder if new things after the release will come out like how Kirby star allies got extra free DLC maybe Kirby and the forgotten land will get that too and it could help uncover this mystery a bit more
Bro, this game just keeps on giving! Thanks for this True Ending explained video Nin10doland, can’t wait for the future theory videos that try to help with this crazy lore heavy game
4:55 look at Soul Forgo's eyes. When the butterfly lands on him, Soul Forgo looks like he's thinking "Oh no" and he looks like he knows what's about to happen. It's not a very important detail, but it's a nice touch.
One thing that has me thinking is that in the Chaos Elfilis Soul fight it suddenly has the ability to use copy abilities. It uses cutter for one attack, fire for another... kind of makes you think.
Yeah I noticed that too. It's like it replicated the abilities of Miracle Matter(A boss near the end of Kirby 64 that is able to use all of Kirby's abilities in that game).
@@kamontheptawin I always assumed in those cases it was because the boss was related to dark matter in some way like Kirby, Magalor soul, Void Termina, etc. are. If I'm not wrong I think this is the first canon instance of a Boss using these abilities while being totally disconnected from Kirby/Dark Matter. Could easily be wrong though, I haven't played every single Kirby game to 100% completion.
Amazing video and awesome that this is the first channel to really break down the Kirby lore in Forgotten Land. I have a pretty wild take on this game as well as Kirby Star Allies and how Morpho Knight links to it all. *Spoilers* In Kirby Star Allies, Void Termina, the final boss, is heavily implied to be Dark Matter. In the ancient past, a civilization called the Ancients used Dark Matter technology to create weapons like the Clockwork Star Novas, Master Crown, and Lor Starcutter (referenced by Magolor in Kirby Return to Dreamland). This civilization fell into ruin when the Dark Matter became corrupt and and formed Void Termina (referenced by Hyness in Star Allies). It took four legendary heroes to defeat and seal Void Termina. However, the heroes went mad and became destructive with power. Galacta Knight is implied to have been one of those four heroes. Now also in Star Allies, an origin for Kirby was implied that he too is an incarnation of Void/Dark Matter but of pure heart. Kirby does possess incredible power and physical resemblance to Void's soul form which strongly supports this. I believe Morpho Knight's goal is to defeat Kirby. I think he is collecting the souls of the four heroes who defeated Void Termina to have enough power and ultimately end Kirby. If Galacta Knight is one of those heroes, I too believe Fecto Elfilis is second of four heroes. Fecto Elfilis most likely came from the same dimension as Kirby & Planet Popstar as implied by the events of Forgotten Land. Their dimensional abilities resemble attacks similar to those of Galacta Knight, who is also known to rip into voids of time and space. It is very likely the next Kirby game/games may introduce the other two heroes as antagonists and will ultimately conclude with Morpho Knight as the big villain of this entire saga.
I never thought of that before. Fecto Elfilis's theme sounds somewhat similar to Void Termina's, and Void does use spears during some of his attacks, maybe it recalls one of the ones who defeated it?
@@ICader7194 I don't think Meta Knight and Morpho Knight are heroes. Mainly because Meta Knight first fought Galacta in Super Star Ultra and is much younger. Morpho Knight seems to also be an entirely different being based on his pause screen lore. He may just be the series equivalent to the Grim Reaper
I don't think Galacta Knight is somewhere, nor might appear revived again, because Morpho Knight revived Forgo for one last chance of revenge + with more power, practically dropping the power boost with his soul attack If Morpho Knight dropped Galacta Knight and revived him, the Morpho Butterfly would revert back to it's butterfly form, but not be able to transform into the known knight form
@@ICader7194 even if *this* Morpho is dead, there's still others in butterfly state, and if you want to count it I guess Kirby being one of them after beating him
Morpho Knight Absolutely blew my mind in Forgotten land. I loved the heck of Star Allies and always challenge in the Soul Melter EX. Forgotten land is my new favorite! Morpho Knight is very Difficult! And yet, I still feel like it's like a Wormy reference. That one Episode in SpongeBob that scared me for life.
I like to imagine that morpho knight in this story actually confirms galacta knight and all of his appearances are and have always been canon or at least certain elements and fights of those game modes Galacta knight was never considered canon or marx soul as those events couldn't happen at the same time in ultra with nova being destroyed, but somehow summoned by meta knight, but somehow absorbed by marx to become marx soul, and since people couldn't see the connection, it was made not canon and everything else subsequently involving gk To which I say Super Star Ultra never not made sense to make it work, in fact it works perfectly well for it all to be canon and make sense First Kirby summons Nova, breaks SOME of Nova and then marx flies into him destroying him completely When MK summons Nova, if you compare the summoning cutscenes side by side, they're different, MK doesn't summon nova through teleportation, but we see Nova come back together like the reverse of him blowing up apart, EXCEPT for the pieces kirby broke off first, and then Nova takes off without his face whole Then we see Marx absorb Nova, people assumed he absorbed all of Nova, he didn't, he absorbed the VERY SAME pieces as the pieces that Nova wasn't able to complete his face with, so marx obviously absorbed the pieces drifting near his lifeless body which was sent near the pieces first broken off, THEN meta knight revived nova but couldn't collect those pieces since they were already absrobed by marx So there was never no reason for galacta knight to not be canon since then and I like to think of this as a retcon now confirming things to be canon that wasn't thought to be like tobey maguire's spiderman films now being MCU films, and it makes sense since we are clearly getting close to learning more about GK and morpho knight hence aeon hero light and dark in super kirby clash
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's been explicitly stated that Galacta Knight himself is canon, but his appearances have just been non-canon what-if senarios. I don't think that this changes that.
@@technotronic4151 yeah true, I would say some elements could be canon while others not, I mean why would meta knight go through the halberd as kirby did after rebuilding it, a simple answer could be because he always does whenever it's destroyed which has been a few times now even without including the not canon smash subspace, but why go through that effort to destroy it? and why fight dyna blade when that was resolved? same reason he fights kirby in the colleseum instead of going with kirby to go after dedede (that and defend the town which he did from gorimondo 20 or 30 times was it?) but to train harder basically, to match kirby, so him going through kirby's route to be on kirby's level to prove he is as good and then better is believable, he teamed up with dedede last game in fighters to do so, and his wish was to fight the best warrior to obvs become the best himself by defeating galacta knight, instead of fighting marx as there was no marx to fight to save the world, meta knight's route was a copy of kirby's except the end, all just to best kirby, so if anything, knightmare ultra's side story supports the reason for galacta knight ever being unsealed, of course nova was still there tho and probably resealed him altho we saw him get destroyed then, hence seeing him sealed by stardream who essentially is the same guy even if apart of another nova, since becoming morpho knight or since stardream's defeat, he seems to have been freed from being sealed away
@@Missingno_Miner yeah for sure galacta knight is canon in terms of existing, but I just mean maybe the events not considered canon are actually canon because the events that caused his first appearance were believed to make no sense hence being not canon when in reality the first colleseum and side game events did make sense to exist together, but even if that's not the case, gk is definitely a being in the kirby universe
The attack where he bounces in the background is also done by Void Soul in Star Allies who is a Dark Matter, making me think Forgo might be related to Dark Matter in some way.
One thing I was wondering about the battle with morpho knight in star allies after I fought him in the Forgotten land is how he is able to summon phantom versions of the creatures he absorbed like Forgo. Does it mean that the phantoms he summons in the star allies boss fight are hinting at Galacta knight appearence behind the mask?
The next Kirby game is gonna be great, so many things were left open, and the positive reaction to the new 3D environment should encourage HAL to come up with even more creative, new ideas Morpho knight could end up being the next focus for the Kirby series, now that two games have shown the red butterfly’s power We’ve seen there to be multiple butterflies appearing at once in some scenes, so what if these butterflies are part of a hive mind and the few we see are just a foreshadowing of their importance to the overall lore Just imagine a Kirby game with a similar formula to the forgotten lands, but instead of fecto elfilis being the main antagonist, it could be the hive mind of red butterflies, where they aim to monopolise the greatest power in the universe This could make sense with other theories that the butterfly always lands on Kirby in order to steal his infinite power, but can’t due to his positive energy, and would make sense as to why they would fight Kirby as morpho knight - to weaken him in order to steal his infinite power For theory of a hive mind, the butterflies would share their power among all butterflies, and after absorbing part of soul forgo’s power (and leaving behind some of their own - maybe stolen from Kirby as he’s got infinite power, which would imply the butterflies can siphon some power from Kirby as it wouldn’t affect his infinite reserves), they finally have the abilities to open wormholes without the use of technology and are ready to expand across the universe and dimensions. Also something nice I though about while writing this, the only difference between fecto elfilis and chaos elfilis is the power of the butterfly, so could the butterfly’s power be compared to the butterfly effect? It would make sense with the idea of chaos for sure, so maybe the reason behind gaining so much power is to create chaos in the universe Anyways those thoughts aside, the next Kirby game is highly likely to focus on the power of the butterfly in both star allies and the forgotten lands, and could end up being on a larger scale than any Kirby game before it, HAL has definitely proved their creativity with the forgotten lands, so no matter what comes next, it will be epic
I do like how he specifically shows forgo escaping but if you read the figure it got a last chance to be reborn and fight kirby due to the power of the butterflies. Also the butterflies are said to be called to final battles not timeline breaches. You made great theory’s that isn’t a doubt but if you check deeper you can find more confirmation of lore in the gotcha figurines.
I can think of a very good reason why Forgo Elfilis or Elfilis in general is so hostile. The people who caught him probably didn't treat him well. I think they tried to exploit his powers and ran lab tests on him, causing him to become this dangerous attacking creature he is today
Actually, Forgo was completely evil from the beginning. I have a feeling that Forgo was experimented on as punishment for invading the world and causing casualties.
I also felt like the final stage of the fight had some similarities to Dark Matter and Miracle Matter... which kind of goes with the whole possessing/mind controlling the Beast Gang and Dedede.
@@mutanttepig4759 I remembered that it was related to Dark Matter, just not the last part of the name. It is kinda strange that the last two games had a final boss that mimics Kirby's copy abilities.
In my opinion Galacta Knight still stronger than Morpho Knight, and Morpho is trapped into a butterfly body, like galacta knight that is normally inside a crystal. I thought about this because when the butterfly lands on the _BIG FETUS_ it doesn't take his form and change it with cool butterfly parts, he just appear again with a knight form, meaning that morpho knight just wants power to appear again.
About Morpho Knight, it typically appears to pass judgment on those who are destined to perish, like Fecto Forgo, or those who were supposed to die but couldn't, like Galacta Knight. In the latter's case, Galacta Knight *intentionally* summoned the butterfly since he wants to die but is so freaking powerful that he can't be killed conventionally. The only question left is how does Galacta Knight even know such an entity even existed? Another fascinating detail is the mention of Sukhavati, the Buddhist afterlife. Morpho is known as the "Dreaming Bird of Sukhavati", making it a psychopomp akin to Thanatos.
My small theory is that Galacta Knight is actually an angel sent by Morpho knight to judge the ancients as a part of Morpho Knight but Galacta Knight went rouge and went on a killing spree and his Angelic power dubbed him "The Strongest Warrior of the Galaxy" of the anicents not knowing that Galacta Knight was an angel sent by Morpho knight with him splitting his soul that created Galacta Knight and his Butterfly form. Hence why Morpho knight in his butterfly body went toward Galacta Knight in Star Allies and why he doesnt use Galacta Knight's Attacks unlike Forgo in forgotten land, because they are his **Own** attacks (But, that's My thoughts)
@@Cinder_the_Art_Gal8144no. Galacta Knight was only feared for his power and therefore sealed away. He was one of the 4 people who sealed away Void at first
My theory (which doesn't have a lot of evidence but ya know, headcanon type stuff) is that Kirby is an infant version of Meta-Knight. Kirby's species is probably a rare one and is one of the most powerful. Of course they're not all good guys. They seem to be an unpredictable species of extremely powerful beings. Likely manufactured by the ancients (at least imo) Since we now know the ancients hail from the Forgotten Land we know that they originally had no knowledge of space magics. Kirby however is basically a tiny space magic wielding being. Same with Meta-Knight. Something could be said for all the other species of Dream Land but I think it's very obvious that Kirby is a rare being... The other little detail that a lot of people gloss over is the language thing in Forgotten Land. The radio song is spoken in the fictional language of that worlds time. It's not really known if Kirby understands it or not... but something to keep in mind is that when Kirby and the Waddle-Dees enter the elevator of Lab Discovera the tour guide states "auto-detecting language" and switched to English (or what we can assume is the language that either the Waddle-Dees, or Kirby understand --- since they don't say ENGLISH, it's just something we can now understand) this implies that the people of the Forgotten Land have some genetic connection to Kirby and/or the Waddle-Dees... Not necessarily connected directly but they could be creations of said people. Morpho-Knight "absorbing" a soul for power is reminiscent of Kirby's absorption abilities. Since Forgo's soul abilities are used by Morpho-Knight this is further corroborated. Basically the Kirby Knights are probably just a species of warriors created by the ancients (imo) that have had varying impacts on events through out history. With the ancients gone, and only relics existing in the form of Nova and Star Dream... all we can do is GUESS what their purpose was. As it stands they're just individuals. Kirby is also a mechanic, and tech wiz according to the lore. So while his infant like naivete indicates he doesn't ever really understand things outside of "friends, food, sleep, and fighting" it does indicate that he has some sort of manufactured origin. His actual intelligence is by most accounts that of a baby. However he is able to build spaceships, and work on mechs in robobot. Heck how did Meta-Knight obtain Halberd? He probably built it. Also it's important to point out that certain lore theories and the like basically contradict eachother. Shiver Star exists, and many people consider it earth... but the Forgotten Land is also very earth like, and the people from that world didn't have the abilities to dimensionally travel until Elfilis showed up. Essentially Shiver Star can't be earth if the Forgotten Land also had humans. Since the Forgotten Land (which houses very basic earthly technology and construction) is the origin point of humans, then Shiver Star cannot in turn be earth. (I guess it COULD be earth but a different dimension version but that creates a lot of weird extremely unanswerable questions) So essentially my theory boils down to: They're all lab experiments at creating some sort of super being. This is why they all seemingly have different motivations and lack of direct connection... yet they all have similar powers and abilities. I also have my own theory that Dedede and Kirby's species were at least researched and tested on Shiver Star. (the test tube things indicate some sort of biological engineering)
Very nicely summarized. Though, I’d like to add one last question to your next lore video. Why do Elfilis’ portals seem so similar to Magolor’s, particularly his boss fight? Both kinds take the form of a 5-pointed star.
Oh yes that was indeed a thing to notice. Just like how he flies through them to attack Kirby is like Magolor style and the lasers going through the star shaped dimensional rifts is also a thing coming back from the Magolor fight
@@iris1568 Also just remembered another starshaped portal: the portals to new worlds in Kirby 64. I even checked the footage to make sure my memories weren't playing tricks on me. That said, it does function very differently. The star has soft points as apposed to the harder points. In addition, it doesn't really work like a portal. It works more like the crystal is showing the team their next destination, then the heroes hop inside and the crystal carries them to the new world. It still flies very fast, but it's not an instant portal like the more recent stuff.
@@YandMProductions Oh I see. That's interesting.. Almost gives off a feeling this creature already had some kind of far away influence during the 64 Kirby game, but that could also just be a wild guess I just made there 😅
@@angusschmangus6046 Actually, it's not. In Return to Dream Land (found in levels and not made by Magolor), Triple Deluxe, and Star Allies show portals as swirling vortexes. The final boss of Planet Robobot opens heart-shaped portals. Heck, Epic Yarn features a portal in a freakin' sock. I admit I may have been reaching for the 64 example, but I think it's worth considering Magolor's portals, at least.
are we not gonna talk about the fact that chaos elfilis' soul looks like a zero "style" dark matter being? with the red orby thingies thats what i thought of
My personal theory is this: We know the butterflies are beings of judgement ( pause screens ) so I think when they judge someone TOO evil, they go and absorb their souls into themselves, but the being they absorb is SO evil, that it corrupts the butterfly and makes it attack kirby. I believe morpho knight is the butterfly fusing with galacta knight, and then forgo was fused in as well, so now the butterfly is being corrupted by TWO evil beings.
I strongly disagree in considering Morpho Knight a "time-variance authority". Firstly because this thing has no sense even in the MCU. Secondly because Soul Forgo isn't breaking any time rule (IF there are any), they are not time-traveling, they're just in another part of the universe or maybe in another dimention. Thirdly because the kirby series, as far as I know, never treated the time travels so I don't understand why and how Forgo could have time travelled and why don't talk about it, why don't show it. I can agree that little is known about Morpho Knight, we don't know his objective, why he intervened only "against" (I suppose?) Galacta Knight's return in Star Allies (him who was probably one of the 4 heroes who sealed Void Termina with the heart spear) and Forgo and why he can convert Kirby's allies on his side. Then I don't understand why "arenas have never been canon", who said that? In kirby super star ultra we face the totally canon Marx soul, he has even a description. In kirby return to dreamland we have the confirm that the crown is a container for Zero or someone similiar.
But what I keep wondering about with the Orange Butterflies and Morpho Knight throughout Kirby history.. If the butterflies always warn Kirby and friends before and during disaster, and evaporize the enemy to transform into Morpho Knight.. Why does he attack Kirby? Does the butterfly turn corrupt when becoming one with the enemy it absorbs? That's a question that has been stuck to me since Star Allies. Or are the butterflies using those enemy transformations to test Kirby's worthness to stay in the world and not getting judged by one of them to absorb him?
another comment theorize that maybe, because kirby is the most powerfull being, it try's to absorve him, but it can't since kirby is just, too godamm powerfull it's hole thing is that he is a knight that fight against doom, so maybe he trys to absorve kirby to stop calamity, fails, follow him, once got the chance become "hole" and try to weaken kirby to absorve him since he is strong enougth to stop any kinda god you throw at him
@@dhark0n332 That one sounds plausible as well. I saw multipe theories like these in the comment section here. So either it's a helping butterfly. Or its the judging Knight of doom
@@iris1568 i mean, she does the same to kirby that she does to others, meaning she is porposefully transforming, so i doubt that she gets corrupted, since she seems to always do it by free will

I have a theory, you said in previous videos that the people of the forgotten land might have went to Dream Land, and that one of the secret Hal rooms reminded you of Planet Robobot, what if the Haltman Empire came from the forgotten land, and this can be proven, Star Dream had portal powers, so maybe Haltman put some of Elfilis’ powers in Star Dream and used it to take him to Dream Land.
Maybe Morpho Knight only tries to contain the threat from destroying the world but not fully getting control over it since so far, Galacta Knight a powerful being that could maybe destroy the world and Soul Forgo, a being which we still don't know what it can do if it fights at full power and might have the power to destroy the world (just a thought since it can only become a black hole or a burning sphere of doom), have been contained by Morpho Knight. Galacta Knight was basically the being that gave Morpho Knight it's shape while Soul Forgo gave Morpho Knight more powerful abilities (see where i'm going yet?) so it's also possible that Morpho Knight absorbs very powerful beings to make it's power whole again.
i have a theory that Morpho Knight was split into two beings, one being the butterfly and the other being Galacta Knight. what happened in Star Allies (spoiler alert) was him becoming whole again.
I don't think Morpho Knight just fights the bad guys, his figure mentions "casts judgement upon final fights" so I think it's like extreme Meta Knight, he's testing you.
Since Forgo's epithet is "Invasive species" I imagine Forgo Elfilis was a battle hungry dick. I mean with wormhole powers it could go anywhere so it probably went anywhere and invaded.
That's what I think. Forgo had a choice, but he chose to be pure evil (he's not evil by nature, brainwashed, or driven insane, it was out of choice and he loves being evil). My head canon is that his imprisonment and exploitation was actually punishment for his evil deeds and tyranny.
The butterfly’s sole purpose is to destroy, it transforms being into pure energy before absorbing that essence to gain its true form back, and once killed it only returns to the form of a butterfly to do it again Probably why it’s always landing on Kirby, in an attempt to turn him into infinite energy and become all powerful But to shrug it off by Kirby it’s just a breeze
Don’t know if anyone will see this, but I’d like to point out something. There actually may have been something canon in the True Arena of Kirby Planet Robobot. You see, in the Meta Knighmare’s Revenge mode, after you defeat Galacta Knight he is put back into his crystal seal and then disappears through a vortex. What makes this strange, however, is how he then appeared in Star Allies completely free from his seal. I remember seeing a video that pointed this out, and he followed it up with the fact that after Kirby defeats Galacta Knight in the True Arena of Planet Robobot, his knockout animation is completely different. Instead of being sealed away again, he bangs around the room multiple times, and then flees. If this could actually be canon, it would explain why Galacta Knight appeared in Star Allies again completely free from the crystal he was sealed away in.
I had a theory that the butterflies where created to destroy glacta night but once it saw Kirby and his friends beat him so many times they turned their attention to him turning glacta night and his foes to morfo night to kill kirby
I honestly think Morpho knight only wants the same as meta knight (in Kirby super star ultra), the butterfly saw Kirby defeat every. Single. Foe he came across, so, that makes him the strongest warrior alive, and by beating him, it will be you, the strongest, but Morpho knight, apparently, needs to destroy a powerful being to become him, so i assume he absorbs the energy of a legendary being to have enough energy to fight Kirby.
One think I want to make sure you know, Galacta Knight has never been canon since he only showed up in the non-canon side modes and Morpho Knight was the same, except now Morpho is canon due to the canon post game fight here in FL.
3:18 oh and since its his memories/dreams thats why you hear the echo of the announcer. He must have heard that a billion times over while in containment. Surely maddening.
theoretically, the butterly absorbing galacta knight wasnt canon, meaning he's still out there. i believe that morpho knight is the Butterfly's true form, pheraps also related to the ancient
The lore well for Kirby games goes so deep. It's still yet to be determined how this game really connects to other games (besides the Morpho Knight one) but I'm sure a future title is going to really answer all that.
7:16 Because that isn't Morpho Knight's job. Look at the pause screen description for Morpho Knight from Star Allies. It specifically links him to a 'judgement day'. Quote: "On the day of judgement, this fluttery fiend will fly into action." and this is further confirmed with the Morpho Knight sword ability description in Forgotten Land. Quote: "Before the final battle, a fluttering fiend arrives to cast its judgement." Morpho Knight seems to take a page from Japanese mythology, which associates butterflies with death. He arrives at the scene of great battles, and judgment is cast. His job is more akin to a psychopomp than a timeline keeper.
I would like to point out that Fecto Forgo is so powerful that *its mind* (in the abstract sense) could escape from the battle probably still using its space powers, materialize islands that are based on its memories and finally reincarnate for a final battle -before a butterfly absorbed it- In practice its mind can materialize its dreams from the world of thoughts to the concrete one. Oh yeah, it can also shatter a soul of a thinking animal into pieces.
Braxton here. Fecto elfilis is on top lab discovera. And Leon is trapped in forgo land, so I think the fight with chaos elfilis is on top of forgo land or the fight takes place in a chaos dimension.
My theory is that morpho knight is some sort of vigilante (as you said) that when its energy is depleted transforms back in a butterfly trying to find some source lf energy Another theory is that morpho knight was a powerful creature and it was feared to the point to "curse" him into becoming this butterfly that needs high sources of energy to be normal
As much as I enjoyed this ending, I was a bit bummed that we didn't get to directly fight Soul Forgo. Especially since he's never fought directly in the main story either. I would have loved to see him use his original attacks, plus the attacks he used to help Forgo Leon in the second phase of Frogo Leon's boss fight. Anyone else feel the same way?
I want to mention one thing about elfilis/forgo and souls. We see elfilis mess with souls in two ways: once by ripping leon's, and another by creating the phantom bosses, which are born from the memories of the souls that elfilis interacted with in the forgotten land (for example, the phantom dededes are based on how nightmarish the feeling of being controlled was for dedede). The dark matter clone of kirby planet robobot is capable of wielding the rainbow sword not because the original dark matter ever did, but because the part that was cloned had strong memories of the sword, which star dream used to make it the clone's own power. Since the sectonia clone was made starting from the dreamstalk, which was imbued with her soul, we can presume that the clones that star dream can make are born from fragments of souls. If the technology from which star dream was born is the one of the galactic nova, which draws the same origin from the technology of the lor starcutter, which is most likely born from the dimensional experiments conducted on the ID-F86, seeing how the lor's main function is to create portals, could it be that the technological ancients, other than the ability to open up portals, learned also how to mess with souls thanks to the experiments on the ultimate life form? Could such power, that (theoretically) could defy the concept of death, be how the technological ancients were capable of overpowering and banishing the magical ones? If you aren't convinced yet, look at how the death animation of chaos elfilis and the planet robobot clones are very similar, and how fragments of galactic nova were literally what allowed marx to become marx soul
i want to make notice that if you look at the description of "void" (void termina's most powerfull form) in kirby star allies it says "void takes his first steps twors a new age. in place of tyrannical rage, will he find...naptime? gentile breezes? treats? he may even dream again..." it says a lot about sleeping and dreaming and as we know forgo was DREAMING in the post game of the game and void and chaos elfilis's soul look really similar what if the are the same species? or worst, the same entity?
Considering taht the butterfly is like a judge of death maybe he is following kirby because he always fight strong evil being that often don't die and come back in a stronger forms (the soul bosses) and I star allies the butterfly, after seeing galacta knight decided that he was an optimal vessel and, maybe with the power of the jambaheart like the one that kirby use to make enemies his allies, he fuse with him and now he can judge evil being that refuse to die, like elfilis and probably future kirby's enemies, giving them a chance to reedem and prove that they can still fights or giving them more power so thay can have a worthy death fightning one more time with every thing they have
I like to think that this dimension is actually a parallel universe to Kirby and Elfalis is either Dark matter/Zero 2 equivalent kind of monster. Also, not sure if anyone noticed yet, but when the warps open up at the start of the game and the portal Elfalin uses to get back to kirby are the same portals we see when the Lor Star Ship jumps through dimensions.
As to add to that "souls fight similarly" non canon boss fights with souls have very similar attacks, marx's cutters, lasers, and black hole, drawcia's flaming orb charge, bouncing, and paint storms, and magalor's portals.
I love that morpho knight went from a meta knight concept to a huge warning of chaos to the beast he is now, spanning over years and games just to try to destroy the pink puffball
That thing that flies away is I believe to be Fecto Forgo soul getting one over on Morpho Knight, turning Forgo Dreams into one soul with one burning force, and becomes Chaos Elfilis.
7:52 galacta knight is still alive as those who have played all the way through super kirby clash will know he is still alive. and to further support this we see francisca, flamberge, zan partizanne and hyness after the player defeats specific enemies implying the butterfly had split from morpho knight after his fight in star allies (shoutout to retroarchive for allowing me to see that)
Maybe the reason that Morpho Knight immediately engages Kirby in combat after consuming their target could be that its soul is trying to gain control of them. It's probably not everything, but it would explain why they can use Forgo's spirit during this fight, and why they took the form they have now, when consuming Galacta Knight in Star Allies. Another thing: It could be that Morpho Knight was still carrying Galacta Knight's power, which explains why it never left their body, and also where the power to create Chaos Elfilis was derived.
Since this butterfly still became Morpho Knight even though it absorbed Soul Forgo, could it be the same butterfly as the one in Star Allies? In fact, despite there sometimes being multiple, whenever there's one, would it be safe to assume it's this one? Is that why it's so powerful, from hanging around Kirby? Kirby games end up just leaving us with more questions.
for the soul form, a lot of soul form have the same attacks. the bouncing ball, the black hole, the paint rain,...... so it's just normal. specially with void who has all the attacks of the form soul (because he is their origin, it's complicated).
I found a hidden room in the first level of the wasteland world. It's at the very end where you see the waddle dees and you go behind it to go up onto the stairs. Then there will be a house you can enter and it teleports you to area. I don't know if anyone else has told you this and I hope it makes sense.
Honestly, I didnt look that much into the story, but finally galacta knight isnt just summoned whenever he is needed and trapped afterwards. At least he chills with the butterflys now
I personally think that all Kirby soul bosses are connected through the power of chaos. Drawcia soul, max soul, magolor soul, soul of sectonia, star dream soul os, void and chaos Elfilis, all have extremely similar attacks and forms, so my personal theory is all of these arenas are important to the story even if they are not cannon. And with the cannon existence of morpho knight pretty much confirms the events of the past arenas happened. I think the next major Kirby game is going to include and clarify these soul forms and their connections through chaos, but once again these are just my opinions so don't complain to me about how I'm wrong
So, about the possibility of Galacta Knight’s survival. We know that he is interdimensional, as we see him open rifts during his fight in Planet Robobot. And, when you consider Super Kirby Clash takes place in an alternate realm, it’s possible that’s where he fled after his encounter with the butterfly.
Maybe the reason Morpho Knight wants to destroy Kirby so badly is because Kirby is also dark matter like Termina and Zero (as the theory goes), or alternatively, the reaso why Morpho Knight can't absorb Kirby is because Kirby is Dark Matter. Until now we only see Morpho Knight absorb creatures that aren't related to Dark Mater. As far as I'm aware, I don't think Elfilis is a Dark Matter, I think he is related more to Drawcia, because his soul fight is the most similar to Drawcia Soul's fight, and when he turns the sky into that weird dimension it reminds me of Canvas Curse.
I'd say the regular postgame is canon, but Arena Ultimate Z isn't, if only because it technically effectively is a separate game mode, and it naturally does things that doesn't work lorewise, like having Kirby able to refight Beast Pack before the completion of the story so it can't even be described as training. The only thing about the Arena that is canon lorewise is that Metaknight is there for training too.
Morpho Knight is benign of Galacta Knight. He doesn't need him to be made form. So as far as we know, that dude is still trapped somewhere in between dimensions.
My theory is that the Morpho Knight that You face in Forgotten Land has become a fusion of Galacta Knight and Soul Forgo, with Chaos Elfilis casting Galacta Knight/Morpho Knight 1.0 aside after gaining enough power to obtain a stronger form for It's final fight, knowing the risk of the form.
Oh my god your literally the first person I've seen that acknowledges how similar a soul bosses attacks are to Drawcia Soul. Thank you so much i thought i was the only one that noticed And Question: how the heck are you meant to dodge that dark explosion attack Forgo does at the beginning of Forgo Leon's 3rd phase. I mean what, is it a forced hit? It can't be, yet i literally cannot fathom how the heck you can dodge it cause it covers the ENTIRE DANG ARENA.
I remember I was about to beat the final battle of the ultimate cup Z (second phase) and then it defeated me and I had no more star coins left so I had to retry the whole cup.
I have no idea where you got the temporal angle from, the whole point of the single butterfly as there has only ever been one, is that it is the being who appears on the day of judgement. A gatekeeper to those within the living realm and the afterlife, it exists solely for one reason, to cast judgement when the time has come upon those who deserve it. Galacta Knight was a temporal hero who was sealed away due to his power and seemingly his utter disregard for the sanctity of life, Forgo was a being of pure chaos and malice not too dissimilar to Void but still very different in all the ways that matter. While Void was simply an amalgamation of emotion whether that be positive or negative, it had no emotions itself, it lacked the capacity for malice or evil, same as it lacked the ability to feel love and happiness. Kirby showed it how to feel those emotions, and having befriended a being who may or may not be the primordial ancestor to all and especially Kirby, there was nothing to be judged. Note how despite the butterfly landing on Kirby it never absorbs him, that is because Kirby is much the same as Void, he is pure love and kindness, there is nothing to judge him for since he lacks the capability for evil. Kirby is a simple creature who neither knows nor cares about the wider world and implications of the events that surround him, all he cares about is his friends and food. Morpho Knight is merely a manifestation of the power required to achieve judgement day, after absorbing Galacta Knight in an alternate timeline, Morpho Knight gained enough power to no longer need to find another host to achieve it with, it abosrbing Forgo was merely its way of reclaiming it’s power within this timeline since with Galacta Knights temporal abilities all that was required was enough power to regain its lost form. Why do you think Morpho Knight didn’t change his appearance? Because it wasn’t necessary, Forgo was a means to an end, and as a being of pure malevolent chaos if of course required judgement for its sins. Though no matter how hard Morpho Knight night try, Kirby has no reason to be judged and thusly it will never be able to beat him and grant him judgement, it is the paradox of its existence, eternally seeking judgement upon a being who can never be judged. I can’t help but wonder though, why did it choose Kirby? What specifically made it decide to relentlessly hunt him down? And why does it keep trying to absorb his power? Is it truly good or bad, or is it simply neutral? So many questions, very little answers, I can’t wait for the next game mainline or otherwise, and or some DLC, hopefully we get some answers sometime soon.
From what I know, there's more about Morpho Knight. From what I've heard and seen, there's some manga or something named "Meta Knight and the Knight of Hades". Morpho Knight being this said "Knight of Hades". In it, it says that Morpho Knight sends people who should've been death and/or are close to death to a land named something like "Sukavahti" (I don't remember the OG name). If this book is canon, that means Morpho Knight is basically the Kirby Grim Reaper.
Also, I read through another comment saying that Butterflies are a Japanese symbol for death at times. So basically Morpho Knight is just death personified.
Just want to point out that the final soul fight is probably more meant to be a reference to Void, rather than Drawcia. With that in mind, it’s very possible that this creature is a reincarnation of Void
3:13 I like to think that the creepy "and here we are" is in forgo's twisted dreams which we hear in his chaos soul form even because he's been trapped for ages, an animal in a cage for visitors to look at, who usually hear the whole speech about lab discovera and ID-86 from the tour guide voice but all forgo could hear when trapped was the "and here we are" once the guests left the elevator, driving him insane torturing him and basically giving him trauma and pain that carries out in his final attempt at revenge when all is left is his mind which is sad af to think about
And they say Kirby games are for kids…
yeah.
came to that conclusion as well.
@@xbro154ever its 7+ due to Fear. like just the Fear.

@@xbro154ever Zero having his eye gouged out begs to differ.
I think the "non-canon" Arena Modes are more canon than we initially thought.
@@iris1568 And those with Meta Knight
Woah. I had the exact same theory as you! I didn't even realize someone commented the same thing! I guess great minds think alike.
@@technotronic4151 yeah that way he will never come back lol
@@thedraftingax5963 Won't work. There are at least 3 of the "Butterflies of Judgement" already on Pop Star.
Eh.
Well Kirby is theoretically also an incarnation of Void/Dark Matter so that could be one motive for Morpho Knight's goal to defeat him.
I don't believe that the orange Butterfly is a second half of kirby
I mean, they both absorb beings to gain their powers. But i dont think theyre two halves of one entity, but i do think them fusing would be similar.
I'm not entirely sure about the two halves part, BUT I think you might have something with the butterfly trying to absorb Kirby and not being able to 👀
I think the "two halves of a whole" part is a bit of a stretch, but I agree with rest.
The “and here we are” thing got to me because knowing that Forgo was conscious that entire time while being contained it must have heard that phrase thousands of times, driving it crazy…
Also you make mention to similarities to Drawcia souls, but I also saw similarities to Marx souls with the cutter attack and the black hole attack. Very interesting stuff.
Drawcia and Marx were the first characters to become Souls, and most Soul bosses use attacks belonging to them, like Drawcia’s meteor and rain attacks, or Marx’s cutters
Didn't Drawcia Soul also use cutter? I might be mistaken but I kind of remember cutters going out of the big blob
@@HonterDax yes, she does, but most Soul bosses use Marx’s cutters, rather than Drawcia’s version, I think only Void Termina uses Drawcia’s
@@theking8347 So did morpho just okay looking similar to galacta knight.
Also, butterflies in Japanese culture usually represent as a symbol of death.
Now that you mention the ghost atacks... is the ghost atack morpho does in star allies, what galacta knight's face actually looks like?
Man morpho knight is so strong that he made himself canon lol
Or, according to the title, "Cannon"
Kinda like Broly
He always was
Unlike a certain being he absorbed that tried so hard to do that but failed.
@@HappyXID i mean if you're refering to galacta knight, tecchnically this game makes him canon by defualt if this is the same butterfly from the past games. but if it isnt not only does that mean that galacta knight isnt canon but also this is the first actual soul morpho absorbed.
My theory is that the people of the Forgotten Land eventually became the Ancients responsible for a lot of the technology in Kirby lore.
12:40 those other orbs we see in the background after chaos elfilise are destroyed are probably the soul's of the beasts we see squirm to get out which is depressing, fecto forgo was made from leon and other beasts, so if leon never made it out first, nor did the other beasts used to make that monstrosity, which also means since chaos elfilis relied on the beasts to become whole without elfilin, leon got lucky his body was freed from control just before chaos elfilis was formed as clearly he used the other beasts to produce his soul form, hence why we see their bodies squirm as apart of his soul when destroyed, their bodies get destroyed with chaos elfilis, with their only escape and freedom being as souls to scatter away rather than regaining their bodies back :(
so escape now looking for a way to come back to life?

I don't think it's any different here
@@koitern8785okay but give me one good reason why Morpho of all people would drop one after defeated
I wonder if new things after the release will come out like how Kirby star allies got extra free DLC maybe Kirby and the forgotten land will get that too and it could help uncover this mystery a bit more
It would probably be more "Isolated Isles" since the way "Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams" implies that it's not the only one.

Oh heck yeah! HAL Labs took this franchise to the next level. I think they really meant business when they said Kirby was going into “Phrase 2”
Isn’t it just normal soul boss move sets in Kirby game?
The meteor attack, the blades, the bouncing slams, and the rain attack are Soul attacks, most Soul bosses have at least one of those, sometimes more
The cutter attack is a Soul Boss staple, ever since Marx Soul.
Amazing video and awesome that this is the first channel to really break down the Kirby lore in Forgotten Land. I have a pretty wild take on this game as well as Kirby Star Allies and how Morpho Knight links to it all. *Spoilers*
In Kirby Star Allies, Void Termina, the final boss, is heavily implied to be Dark Matter.
That's actually really clever and makes quite a lot of sense
@@ICader7194 I don't think Meta Knight and Morpho Knight are heroes. Mainly because Meta Knight first fought Galacta in Super Star Ultra and is much younger. Morpho Knight seems to also be an entirely different being based on his pause screen lore. He may just be the series equivalent to the Grim Reaper
I don't think Galacta Knight is somewhere, nor might appear revived again, because Morpho Knight revived Forgo for one last chance of revenge + with more power, practically dropping the power boost with his soul attack
If Morpho Knight dropped Galacta Knight and revived him, the Morpho Butterfly would revert back to it's butterfly form, but not be able to transform into the known knight form
Its actually been told that morpho was always a knight it just needs a powerful being to become it!
It’s actually a cut design for meta knight from Kirby 64
I like to imagine that morpho knight in this story actually confirms galacta knight and all of his appearances are and have always been canon or at least certain elements and fights of those game modes
Galacta knight was never considered canon or marx soul as those events couldn't happen at the same time in ultra with nova being destroyed, but somehow summoned by meta knight, but somehow absorbed by marx to become marx soul, and since people couldn't see the connection, it was made not canon and everything else subsequently involving gk
To which I say Super Star Ultra never not made sense to make it work, in fact it works perfectly well for it all to be canon and make sense
First Kirby summons Nova, breaks SOME of Nova and then marx flies into him destroying him completely
When MK summons Nova, if you compare the summoning cutscenes side by side, they're different, MK doesn't summon nova through teleportation, but we see Nova come back together like the reverse of him blowing up apart, EXCEPT for the pieces kirby broke off first, and then Nova takes off without his face whole
Then we see Marx absorb Nova, people assumed he absorbed all of Nova, he didn't, he absorbed the VERY SAME pieces as the pieces that Nova wasn't able to complete his face with, so marx obviously absorbed the pieces drifting near his lifeless body which was sent near the pieces first broken off, THEN meta knight revived nova but couldn't collect those pieces since they were already absrobed by marx
So there was never no reason for galacta knight to not be canon since then and I like to think of this as a retcon now confirming things to be canon that wasn't thought to be like tobey maguire's spiderman films now being MCU films, and it makes sense since we are clearly getting close to learning more about GK and morpho knight hence aeon hero light and dark in super kirby clash
Galacta knight has shown up too many times to NOT be canon like fr
@@mystic5175 I mean, he's explicitly confirmed to be canon, it's just that his appearances aren't.
The attack where he bounces in the background is also done by Void Soul in Star Allies who is a Dark Matter, making me think Forgo might be related to Dark Matter in some way.
Void Soul isn't related to just dark matter, it's the source of all matter. Forgo is probably somewhat closely related to Void Soul.
Was thinking exactly the same.
However, on the his EX form, he can summon various at the same time, so it could be just other common souls.
@@marceloquintamar2613 Forgotten Land Morpho Knight is also capable of summoning numerous Forgo Phantoms.
Don't forget the Morpho Knight copy ability, which allows Kirby to summon Forgo Souls.
The next Kirby game is gonna be great, so many things were left open, and the positive reaction to the new 3D environment should encourage HAL to come up with even more creative, new ideas
Morpho knight could end up being the next focus for the Kirby series, now that two games have shown the red butterfly’s power
We’ve seen there to be multiple butterflies appearing at once in some scenes, so what if these butterflies are part of a hive mind and the few we see are just a foreshadowing of their importance to the overall lore
Just imagine a Kirby game with a similar formula to the forgotten lands, but instead of fecto elfilis being the main antagonist, it could be the hive mind of red butterflies, where they aim to monopolise the greatest power in the universe
This could make sense with other theories that the butterfly always lands on Kirby in order to steal his infinite power, but can’t due to his positive energy, and would make sense as to why they would fight Kirby as morpho knight - to weaken him in order to steal his infinite power
For theory of a hive mind, the butterflies would share their power among all butterflies, and after absorbing part of soul forgo’s power (and leaving behind some of their own - maybe stolen from Kirby as he’s got infinite power, which would imply the butterflies can siphon some power from Kirby as it wouldn’t affect his infinite reserves), they finally have the abilities to open wormholes without the use of technology and are ready to expand across the universe and dimensions.
Also something nice I though about while writing this, the only difference between fecto elfilis and chaos elfilis is the power of the butterfly, so could the butterfly’s power be compared to the butterfly effect? It would make sense with the idea of chaos for sure, so maybe the reason behind gaining so much power is to create chaos in the universe
Anyways those thoughts aside, the next Kirby game is highly likely to focus on the power of the butterfly in both star allies and the forgotten lands, and could end up being on a larger scale than any Kirby game before it, HAL has definitely proved their creativity with the forgotten lands, so no matter what comes next, it will be epic
No they were hostile before they were captured. They literally tried to destroy the planet before they got captured
I like this theory, but she was evil even before she was sealed, she started to attack the planet as soon as she appeared
Actually, Forgo was completely evil from the beginning. I have a feeling that Forgo was experimented on as punishment for invading the world and causing casualties.
The soul fight reminds me of Miracle Zero from Crystal Shards as each attack felt like it was mimicking Kirby's copy abilities.
I also felt like the final stage of the fight had some similarities to Dark Matter and Miracle Matter... which kind of goes with the whole possessing/mind controlling the Beast Gang and Dedede.
Miracle Matter not Miracle Zero(although that's a cool name).
Morpho is known as the "Dreaming Bird of Sukhavati", making it a psychopomp akin to Thanatos.
galacta knight is that "local man too angry to die" meme
Galacta night is omnipotent
Likely manufactured by the ancients (at least imo)
Since we now know the ancients hail from the Forgotten Land we know that they originally had no knowledge of space magics.
(I guess it COULD be earth but a different dimension version but that creates a lot of weird extremely unanswerable questions)
So essentially my theory boils down to: They're all lab experiments at creating some sort of super being.
Almost gives off a feeling this creature already had some kind of far away influence during the 64 Kirby game, but that could also just be a wild guess I just made there 😅
As cool as it would be to have them related, I think that’s just how all dimensional portals look in the Kirby games
I admit I may have been reaching for the 64 example, but I think it's worth considering Magolor's portals, at least.
are we not gonna talk about the fact that chaos elfilis' soul looks like a zero "style" dark matter being? with the red orby thingies thats what i thought of
Yep, morpho Knight and the events of Forgo Isles are all canon! Everything is canon in Forgotten LAnd! All of it!
@@iris1568 if it was a helping butterfly than she would not hurt kirby since he is the most "friendly" being in that world
@@dhark0n332 that's where my "does the butterfly become corrupted once it transforms into morpho knight" question comes in

Or it's just one of the many worlds they pilfered for technical knowledge
Did anyone notice that text on the floor at 3:23 that said SCP? 😳
I personally believe that ID-F86 is from Another Dimension. It creates star shaped Portals so it makes sense.
Kirby's a *cannon* now?
i have a theory that Morpho Knight was split into two beings, one being the butterfly and the other being Galacta Knight. what happened in Star Allies (spoiler alert) was him becoming whole again.
One thing I want to know is how did Dedede survive everything tearing apart around him at the end of the main story.
Because he's King Dedede, of course!
*p l o t a r m o r*
the power of dedede
Very cool but what are the lore implications of Weaponsmith Waddle Dee being able to recreate the sword wielded by an actual God of Death
I love Kirby content. Even though I'm a *HUGE* Sonic fan, when it comes to Kirby, that rivals Sonic.
Thank you adding that detail at 7:50 no one really talks about it that much
The butterfly’s sole purpose is to destroy, it transforms being into pure energy before absorbing that essence to gain its true form back, and once killed it only returns to the form of a butterfly to do it again
Probably why it’s always landing on Kirby, in an attempt to turn him into infinite energy and become all powerful
But to shrug it off by Kirby it’s just a breeze
Don't make the true final boss of a Kirby game a sphere challenge (impossible)
Wiat evry true final boss Is a ball i cant tinck One isnt
*Sectonia?*
I already need another Kirby game cause this was too good, and the lore gets even thicker
The lore well for Kirby games goes so deep. It's still yet to be determined how this game really connects to other games (besides the Morpho Knight one) but I'm sure a future title is going to really answer all that.

Because that isn't Morpho Knight's job. Look at the pause screen description for Morpho Knight from Star Allies. It specifically links him to a 'judgement day'. Quote: "On the day of judgement, this fluttery fiend will fly into action." and this is further confirmed with the Morpho Knight sword ability description in Forgotten Land. Quote: "Before the final battle, a fluttering fiend arrives to cast its judgement."
Morpho Knight seems to take a page from Japanese mythology, which associates butterflies with death. He arrives at the scene of great battles, and judgment is cast. His job is more akin to a psychopomp than a timeline keeper.
Hello, it's my B day today!!!!
This channel is growing and getting better so fast. Just like us people!!!!
I would like to point out that Fecto Forgo is so powerful that *its mind* (in the abstract sense) could escape from the battle probably still using its space powers, materialize islands that are based on its memories and finally reincarnate for a final battle -before a butterfly absorbed it-
In practice its mind can materialize its dreams from the world of thoughts to the concrete one.
My theory is that morpho knight is some sort of vigilante (as you said) that when its energy is depleted transforms back in a butterfly trying to find some source lf energy
Another theory is that morpho knight was a powerful creature and it was feared to the point to "curse" him into becoming this butterfly that needs high sources of energy to be normal
8:26 - "Everything is back to normal."
*6 minutes remaining*
Knuckles: Oh no
As much as I enjoyed this ending, I was a bit bummed that we didn't get to directly fight Soul Forgo.
7:52 galacta knight is still alive as those who have played all the way through super kirby clash will know he is still alive. and to further support this we see francisca, flamberge, zan partizanne and hyness after the player defeats specific enemies implying the butterfly had split from morpho knight after his fight in star allies (shoutout to retroarchive for allowing me to see that)
That dang butterfly managed to make its fight cannon before Galacta Knight could
Maybe the reason that Morpho Knight immediately engages Kirby in combat after consuming their target could be that its soul is trying to gain control of them.
Nin, it's a bit more complicated than that, the ex and other stuff in the other games are Canon, leading to Multiverse theory
for the soul form, a lot of soul form have the same attacks.
the bouncing ball, the black hole, the paint rain,......
so it's just normal.
specially with void who has all the attacks of the form soul (because he is their origin, it's complicated).
So when do we save Marin from being trapped as a seagull forever ?
I found a hidden room in the first level of the wasteland world. It's at the very end where you see the waddle dees and you go behind it to go up onto the stairs. Then there will be a house you can enter and it teleports you to area.
I don't know if anyone else has told you this and I hope it makes sense.
Nin10doland can you explain the spear, goo form, split state form, and all of the small orbs around the big orb his soul. one soul, two minds.
Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams can be abbreviated to II-FD which is similar to IFD-86, the name given to Elfilis in Lab Discovera
I always saw morpho knight as more power hungry trying to gain as much power as possible
I love that he made a reference to Loki (one of my favorite shows).
So, about the possibility of Galacta Knight’s survival. We know that he is interdimensional, as we see him open rifts during his fight in Planet Robobot. And, when you consider Super Kirby Clash takes place in an alternate realm, it’s possible that’s where he fled after his encounter with the butterfly.
btw the only thing i could hear was scary stuff + "And here we are!" repeating quietly
Tecnically the name of ID-F86 is FECTO because "Forgo" is a abreviation of "forgotten"
Thank you so much i thought i was the only one that noticed
And Question: how the heck are you meant to dodge that dark explosion attack Forgo does at the beginning of Forgo Leon's 3rd phase.
Butterfly: oh, I see you got some power there. Would be a shame if… _yoink_
So basically Morpho Knight is just death personified.
on the figure it says that ID B86 wants to make an invasion, it means that there are more of the same species somewhere
Just want to point out that the final soul fight is probably more meant to be a reference to Void, rather than Drawcia. With that in mind, it’s very possible that this creature is a reincarnation of Void
Title: "he's now CANNON?"
Me: yes, a *w e a p o n*
Les go. I can't wait
