    • @Habz10

It's because it was never intended to be a "children's anime"... Kishimoto never intended for it to be for children, he just wrote it in a way that can be viewed by children so they can learn vital lessons whilst aging... However his true intention was for it to be for Adults too... We've all learnt so much from the teachings of Naruto, lessons that children wouldn't have been capable of learning at an early age.

Thank you Rock Lee. When I was in middle school I started watching Naruto, I was obese and almost 300 pounds leading into my freshman year in high school. My body was unhealthy, my mental health was declining and worst of all, I stopped believing myself. Rock Lee’s story was a huge inspiration to me, and it even lead to me starting a new diet and working out... “You’re right, it is pointless, if you don’t believe in yourself.” -Might guy. Im proud to say I stayed true to my goal and I believed in the process of hard work. Im now at 180 pounds years later and Ive been able to maintain it and to this day I lift. I've been a Rock Lee my whole life and I'm sure there are many like me who wish they would've had a Might Guy in their corner. When I watched Rock Lee hold his own against Gaara, even against the odds. The moment I saw him standing, even though he was out cold, is when I knew I wanted to be that. Anime has its moments when the meaning behind it cuts deeper than any blade. "Never apologize for trying hard, it's an insult to your determination"- Might Duy.

Naruto needed Gaara in a situation where he can’t think properly and control his power and Gamabunta.
Lee had everyone watching him wondering how what he’s doing is even remotely possible, it’s not about winning the fight at all tbh, people miss the point

This fccing anime relates to everyone at that certain point in our lives because in reality a lot of us deal with muthffking hardwork whilst how lee whooped gaara, that’s how his hardwork showed. The ride through it all while everyone was watching. But still life’s a b*tch and in the end he still lost. It’s a bitter sweet ending. But hey We all die in the end.

you want to know what's funny? alot of people miss out on a interesting point with both lee and naruto and that's they both taught a gifted genius a life lesson. Some say lee was a wasted character who never got his point across while others say naruto isn't a hardworker and was handed his powers but that's not true at all did people forget one of Lee's introduction fight was against an uchiha genius sasuke? that fight ended with sasuke getting his ass kicked and that's when sasuke was made to realize he hadn't been putting in enough effort to get stronger so after that fight he actually started training harder lee proved hard work can beat out natural talent in that fight. With Naruto he was able to prove to neji that hardwork can in fact change your life for the better and as a result neji got off of hinata and the main branches' ass and became more mellowed out about his family even repairing his broken relationship with his cousin who actually loved and cared about him back.
Both of these guy's ended up changing a genius through hard work it was just that they switch with each other's rival

realistically in the time of the chunin exams yes rock lee was the strongest genin, till the creator put his ass on the sideline to never be useful again p.s. rock lee could have beat gara with just opening the first gate him taking off his weights alone was enough to get past his sand and start working down gaaras armor

Hard work doesn’t always pay off.
No matter how hard I try, I will never catch up to someone that’s been given old money and opportunities.

So annoying how they didn’t flesh out rock lee’s character in shippudden. If written right he could be a main character.
