    Thank you Ethony for sharing your story. Me as a kid, I loved to collect rocks, crystals, beach items, spend hours in nature, very emapathic, knowing & seeing spirits. I was raised catholic & spent 40 years in my catholic faith, I had a bestie in high school who was a white witch & it was not what I had been told all these years. Fast forward to my 20's i was in therapy & was taught mindfulness & tarot, guided meditations. Due living with a strict catholic family, my mom burned all my tarot & things. I finally met my husband in my 40's & found my way back to who I have always been. I have enjoyed this journey with gardening, crafting bath & body from natural elements, collecting crystals & tarot called me home. I started doing more research & let my friends know, most unfriended me. I found a few new witchy friends online, they have been super encouraging. I finally got the courage to share my eclectic green kitchen witchiness & create a space for it. I have not shared my story on youtube yet, probably because i'm still figuring it out. This was so nice to hear your doing what you love & that your family is supportive. Blessed be Becca

    I'm late to the game on this video but finally arrived! Thank you for your book recommendations. I was able to find all of them 2nd (3rd?) hand and bought most. My favorite, so far, is The learned arts of Witches & Wizards. I also love that I'm finding old notes in them that were used as book marks. One was a love note telling his partner that he would miss her/him while he was at work but he'd soon be home. Another had a page number hand-written inside the cover so I turned to that page and the author was talking about vetiver breaking a streak of bad luck and mugwort helping with psychic dreams and John the Conqueror bringing money.

    Omg you're here in Canada 😱 I had post partum depression too, and I too moved across the world. 100% agree with what you said about medication - I'm in the same boat! I also left a very corporate job as a lawyer, fully knowing I did not want to go back to that world. Vancouver is pretty amazing - I'm in Ontario, and I haven't found my witchy peeps here yet, but my wife and I are both witches, as well as best friends!
    Finding you and your channel comes at a very serendipitous time. Ethony you definitely are the change you want to see in the world. I'm excited for this new turn on the road! Thank you!❤️

    Ethony we’ve never met, I’m just a follower and fan of your truth. You are a beacon of light across the hemisphere and your wit and honesty crack me up endless, but I cannot let a micro aggression about age slide without comment because you mention it quite a lot in a negative manner. I know you might be joking but that kind of thing really perpetuates the fear that life ends after 40 and we are not living in the days of yore. Age is a privilege and I hope you will wear yours with pride, I know I want to.

    • @Ethony
      @Ethony  3 роки тому +1

      Deanne, your words are so kind. Although I was just joking about the age thing, I agree, life does NOT end after 40. There are sooo many more years ahead of you in your life and it's truly just the beginning of what potential you can reach.

    I love your story it really inspires me. I am a Eclectic Witch and feel quiet alone sometimes. I haven't come out of the broom closet to my family. They are Christians and I would be judged so harshly by them. I moved clear across the US and started a new life. Here I can practice without judgment from anyone. I was recently married this past September and my husband is very accepting of what I do. I am always looking for new friends of like minded people but here I'm not having much luck. But luckly I am able to live my true authentic self and for that I feel very blessed. Thank you for sharing your story with us and I look forward to future videos.

    I'm in my 60's now and it all started as a child for me too. During my teenage years Wicca seemed to be taking off. I've seen a lot of fads (good and bad) come and go. In my case I follow my own intuition and my own path. I think growing up in an age before computers, we had to make sense of things for ourselves, which I believe enhanced creativity and independence. With many responsibilities throughout my life and having to conform to society meant I kept my practice to myself; however my adult daughter now shares my love of this path.

      Hi Dili, thanks so much for sharing!! Yes, following your own path is sooo important! I agree, growing up without screens and computers 24/7 really does allow you to live where you are in the moment. Love how your daughter shares a love of the craft too, blessed 🐝

    Thank you so much for sharing your journey, Ethony. I can relate to so much of this! I was a "different" child. During my entire life, I've had intense and very vivid dreams. As a child they could be disturbing, but as I got older, I really appreciated them. Many are premonitions of things coming up. I also suffered with very bad postpartum depression with my first daughter. That was a very difficult period. As for my spiritual path, I am the only one in my entire family that took the witchy route. Everyone else is connected to a traditional religion: Christianity. The vast majority of my friends are that way, too. I am thrilled that one of my daughters took the witchy path as I did! ❤️

    You're very blessed to be able to do it all !! I always knew I was different, but I grew up in CQ AU. I tried to be me however I stood out too much in a small country town. I've been hidden in the broom closet my whole life, only those closest to me really know who I truly am. I have always had no community support, I did try to join a local "red tent" in the new town I am in but the "scared space" was extremely judgemental towards new people which goes against everything they say they are!! I've actually always wanted to find "my people" and start my own thing but I tend to hold myself back from ever doing it. I don't follow the religious side of being a witch I just do what I feel is right for me and my intuition guides me. I can relate to a lot you said I too discovered things in the local library haha brings back so many memories. I do feel that this is my life calling nonetheless, so I hope to one day, just be myself too!

    I am very careful about sharing because I get guff from both sides, from “christians” as well as the witch community but here goes. I had a hard time reconciling my gifts with the religion I grew up in, Christianity. I kept reflecting the Bible, and realizing different mistakes, the passage “a camel through the eye of a needle” the word for rope and camel was misinterpreted. “Dont suffer a witch to live” the word for witch and poisoned/murderer was misinterpreted. Ghandi said “i like your Christ, I do not like your Christian’s”. Still my beliefs center around the faith I grew up in. So I came to a place of looking for God within me. I believe in God the Father, God the Mother, and God the Child. I revere nature. And I believe that everyone can find that spirit within weather they hold religious beliefs or not. But because I don't have a particular Goddess, and I don't belong to a coven, and believed in the “red letter words of Christ” not so much in the interpretation laid by the disciples, I was told I was too christainlike in every rather nasty way. And of course I am a heretic to the Christian community for adding the mother rather than the holy spirit in there. This is just a side note but have you ever wondered why Catholics say hail Mary’s in repentance, if there is no female aspect? Catholics have all the manuscripts. I haven't shared in year's and years but it seems the energy is more accepting now. Lol well we will find out in a few comments!

    Heyyyy Ethony I really don't know how I found you, but I'm so glad I did. I just got started in all this and I feel very... connected? I remember seeing things when I was younger and every now and then when I'm home alone things just...move. There's a lot of negative vibes from my house and I'm kinda scared that I'm the only one who knows. I once saw a very tall shadowy dude I mean like 7 maybe 8 feet behind me in my bathroom mirror and after that, I've just been seeing all sorts of things happening. The more I speak of this person the more it occurs so I try to avoid it. Any info on this? I looked it up on the internet and I guess it's a Shadow person? I read something about a Hat man as well who looked very much like him. He doesn't harm me, but he brings this warning that I feel very strongly. I'm a little scared... could you maybe tell me what I might be seeing if you've ever seen something like this?

    • @Ethony
      @Ethony  3 роки тому

      I'm so glad you found me also! Thanks for joining the bumble 🐝 family. I would recommend cleansing your space! I have an entire video walking you through the process and it is great for clearing these types of dark energies that may have attached to you. ua-cam.com/video/JTtLC3P0cnw/v-deo.html
      If it is just him bringing a warning it could be a warning for your safety, I would start paying attention to when and where you see him and try to come up with similarities!
      If you feel the energy is bad or harmful, you can also firmly tell this energy that you thank them for being here, but they are not welcome in your house and to please leave.
