Thank you for identyfying the black part of the wax ring and showing what to do with it (which is discard it, btw, in case anyone else was confused about this part like me). Since mine was suck in my flange, I didn't know it was part of the wax ring scenario and was thinking it was a part of the flange and thus it should remain. After a way too long google search and just as I was about to give up and leave it in (which is wrong, btw) you told me otherwise. Merci Handy Dandy Andy :)
I couldn't figure out how the toilet tank gasket went on and the stick figure drawing in the instructions wasn't much help. I put it on turned inside out and it leaked but your video showed me the error of my ways. Thanks!
Well, I finally installed this toilet. And the only thing that didn't work was that the plastic caps covering the bolts would not click down into place. It appears that the bolts are too high and need to be cut down. Rather than disturb them and screw up something, I will probably just use some silicone to keep the caps in place. Also, with a 12-inch rough-in my tank was also touching the wall and the lid went on just fine.
I noticed that you only used hand pressure to seat the toilet and then attached the wing nuts. Won't it sink down further when someone heavy sits on it? Meaning, shouldn't you sit on it to seat it fully? Also, this was a really tight fit--the tank is touching the wall before you even put on the lid. I'd guess you actually have a 10" rough-in. Were you able to get the tank lid to fit properly?
There could’ve been discussion about whether you got the round toilet, or the elongated glacier bay toilet also was curious about the number of inches from the wall that each toilet requires for the distance from the wall.
Anyone else have a hard time with the gasket on the tank to the bowl sitting flush? Mine has a gap on front and back. Not touching the wall. It’s like the gasket to to damn thick.
Good video and as far as the toilet paper I like to put it the opposite way of people that get mad about it just to bother them I like to think it help get their crap 💩 out faster
Germs are always present. I also didn't wear a mask. It was a personal decision where I weighed the potential risks and benefits. Do what you feel is safe.
Easy to install, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxjA-hDN2m8_mi0Dg0JD8U6QiArozIAc4I and comfortable. No idea what other people were talking about when they said it was difficult to install or uncomfortable.

I'm just glad he didn't have a lower back tattoo! (tramp stamp)
The black gasket is keeping my tank screws from being flush into the holes.

It always happens when you're out of town!
Fortunately someone was home to turn off the water line so there wasn't a major plumbing issue.
