Great Just finished our Cyc wall last week. Wondering how you're planning to do illuminate the CYC? I am definitely not opting for more professional lighting at the moment as our budget have exceeded already compared to what what planned. Any idea?
Thats COOL news. Would love to see it some how. Currently we have some track lighting that has about 20 plus halogens that are use to light it up for space use - we barely use this lighting unless we have studio lighting (photo/video) that will over power it. The track is just used for everyday. When a production comes in we usually turn of the track and use "key and fill" - one day we would love to have overhead grid and floods lighting the walls starting at the floor up to the verticals. LONG/SHORT - always light up the wall and over power any shadows that may appear, unless the shadows are what you want in the picture. Hope that helps.
Looks like you've used Chipboard for the base layer, then 5mm (or similar) MDF sheets on top of that.. Just thought I'd clarify, seen some confusion in comments
Hey, I'm Michael. I've got a room available to build a cyclorama, but I'm concerned about the size. Do you think that an area of 4.8 meters wide x 7 meters long x 3 meters tall is enough for clothing photoshoot?
@@NgmweddingsLtd I was answered on another group...two solutions I'd suggest: 1, get one of those things realtors use for expensive house showings. It basically is tape that conforms to the bottom of your shoes in an automatic dispenser. Shouldn't be visible even in full length shots. 2, use a proper epoxy based flooring paint, and seal it. With the proper paint and sealing it should be pretty easy to clean up even heavily marked floors.
Great

This is one of my dreams...once I win the lottery, of course!

great job.... well done

Hi i wonder whats the diameter of the curvature? How do you find it in your videos / shoots? Is it seamless?
how do you maintain the flooring? :)
Me wondering the same 👁️👄👁️
Great video, would like to see the making of the wall. Thinking about building one in my studio.
hopefully we get time to edit the footage we have for it
What problems occurred that made your build go to 5 weeks? We are planning to build on at our space in Seattle. Not as big as yours tho.
What paint did you use for the floor?
Wall Matt paint or masonry floor paint?
Hi, We just used some regular matte paint.
is this laquer finish?
What kinda of paint did u use
Of course we want to see exactly how step by step. 98% of the people who watched thought that’s what they were going to see. IJS
Thanks for sharing.. Now the numbers to the carpenters ?😄

Ours is 4.8mm x 3.6m and 3.6m high and works great. 3 meters tall might limit your filming/photo angles a bit though
What do you use to keep it clean ?
Hi Maria! We sweep the wall and often repaint it!
what did you use for a floor? what do you reccomend?
Been waiting for your question to be answered!

Wondering if renting this space out is lucrative. Is there a demand for cyc walls
it took awhile to get our name out there during covid - but we have am average of 10 bookings a month
@@studioluma awesome? What do people usually rent the space for?
how do you maintain the flooring?
Probably repaint it when it gets marks
Great video, is your floor concrete or some thpe of wood?
the floor is just wood - we nailed the mbf right into the carpet
Congratulations! I hope the wall has led to some increased $$ coming in for you..
so far so good - only growth up from here
😊😊😊
What are the total dimensions of the cyc wall
