- So this is one of my Solar and Battery installations from about five years ago in Parkville Western Australia, this system uses Solaredge inverters and LG Chem batteries. The site has had its fair share of issues with the LG batteries, in this video I try to break it down a little bit and explain what to look for on the batteries and how to confirm if it is faulty and needs to be replaced or is subject to the recall program.

WOW, I inspect my BYD batteries (they're in cabinets) every six months or so, luckily not an ounce of trouble after 6 years. Yes, and credit to LG for seeing this through, it sounds like it would have cost them a lot, but hopefully it strengthens their product quality and testing to avoid future re-calls and problems. Nice job Jase !
thats some spicy pillows
I guess they're NMC instead of LFP.
How come these weren't replaced years ago when the recall came out? How come it's taken this long?
The one on the left wasn’t part of the recall program, the one on the right has already been replaced once before
@@TechnoMonkeyFarm I know, i watched the video, but the recall was announced in 2020, it's now 2025 and it's still on the wall.
For heaven's sakes get rid of those things and replace them with LFP batteries!
