Some people use "fretwraps" to avoid unwanted noises, I don't think they're very expensive. This being said, I would simply suggest "arching" your fingers as much as possible to avoid ringing any other strings than the one you're tapping and also keeping your last tapping finger (right hand) on the fretboard before you tap again with your left hand. Thanks for the comment!
Hey so I have found myself confused.. I looked up the tabs and found some transposed for a 7 string tuned to bdadgbe. Starts out as 5,7,12,15 on the low b. Which doesnt make sense to me, because 5 7 12 14 is E F# B C#, which IS in the key of f# phrygian dominant, but the pattern is different than what you taught here, so I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what is correct
Hi Dustin, Unfortunately for me, you are right and I'm wrong. This is quite embarrassing as I have filmed and tabbed this section, but it turns out that I have misheard the first two notes. It is indeed E and F# and not F# and Gb as shown in the video. Therefore, if you would want to play it on a 6-string guitar like I did, you would have to start on 2nd fret and hammer on onto the 4th. In your case, since you are learning it on a 7-string guitar, you could either chose to play the whole pattern forgetting the B string, or start off with 5-7-12-14 on B and then switch onto the 9th fret of the D string and so on (just like my video). Hope this helps and let me address my sincerest apologies for the mistake but loads of thanks for pointing it out for other confused learners to get it right. All the best, Jonathan
@@JonathanHohl I know I'm a year late but is there any chance you have this written out as a tab? The video is helpful for getting patterns etc but to remember them all and jump back and forth isn't easy, for me at least. If I could always refer back to tabs instead of having to scrub through your video it'd be cool. By the way 3:40 sounds like my first attempt to play the intro to sweet child of mine back when I first started playing haha
@@naveenwilson-moola5570 You can find 6 string tabs on songsterr.com they have a lot of tabs in a epic pro manner you should check it out here's the CAFO 6 string full 6 string tabs www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/animals-as-leaders-cafo-6th-string-version-tab-s406928t0
So, I'm a noob and I honestly can't figure a way to make the top strings stop ringing while playing on D or G I mean, I'm trying to block the upper string with the tip of my left hand finger which I'm playing the next string, while keeping the last finger from my right hand on the fret I tapped before tapping with my left again, it's *kinda* working but I guess a better way exists, right?
What gauge string would you suggest for the easiest but best sounding tapping? I feel like mine are too thick and hard. I have a 7string Ibanez Series S.
I am not sure about 7 strings as I have never actually owned one but I've always preferred thinner strings for the top and normal string for bottom (9-46)
The tabs are different from what you played in the video. Thanks for the video it really helped.
This is just unimaginably amazing
Excellent instruction on how to seperate all the details in this part.
wow great that you've released more videos. ty for the tutorial. very gracious of you to post this.
Cheers for the kind words Daniel!
So good. On a six string too. Bravo!
I don't see the section tab in the drive at the moment but great lesson, can't wait to run with it. :)
Sorry about that! Fixed!
Great lesson, finally started to practice this, could you tell how you avoid noises when tapping?

Sorry about that. Fixed!
