Any song off of Diary of a Madman or Blizzard of Ozz are going to be amazing and are all classics and have inspired countless musicians over the decades.
Aleister Crowley, born Edward Alexander Crowley; 12 October 1875 - 1 December 1947) was an English occultist, ceremonial magician, poet, painter, novelist, and mountaineer. He founded the religion of Thelema, identifying himself as the prophet entrusted with guiding humanity into the Æon of Horus in the early 20th century. A prolific writer, he published widely over the course of his life.... Jimmy Page of led zeppelin was so fascinated by him that he bought and lived in the old home of Alistair Crowley ..
Aye, he was also a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and was a follower of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky who was co-founder of the Theosophical Society. I grew up in Inverness, Scotland and Boleskine House was approximately 30min from my home. It was gutted by fire in 2015 and although it is yet to be rebuilt, tourists still visit there for various reasons. Crowley was a tremendously evil man who held black masses and blood rituals/sacrifices along with his sick behavior toward children. He has been dubbed the other Loch Ness monster.
@@8moody1 cool, I think the whole story is very interesting, and would love to visit Scotland since my heritage is 67% Scottish but know nothing about it...
Second video I'm watching on this channel and im happy to see Brad questioning lyrics and being genuinely interested in what these songs mean. Lex is of course enjoying the instrumentals as she does. Love it, great video
Lex, listen to “Tribute”. Assembled from the Diary of a Madman tour shortly before Randy was killed in a plane crash in March 1982, you can hear just how hard it rocks. Only 25 when he died, there is such a small sampling of his talent but the fact that he’s still remembered and continues to inspire new generations of guitar students almost 40 years after his death is the greatest testament to his influence.
Hi, Brad & Lex!! Great song choice... Unfortunately, this isn’t Ozzy, nor the late great Randy Rhoads playing on this one. I’m not sure who it is. To hear the original song, watch the Blizzard of Ozz, Tribute or After Hours versions (After Hours, being one of the only to feature Randy Rhoads visibly playing guitar). Please check out Over the Mountain, Diary of a Madman, Believer, S.A.T.O and You Can’t Kill Rock & Roll, too. The three albums featuring Randy Rhoads are by far the greatest!! Keep up the great work, y’all!!
Per below, this is definitely not the original Blizzard of Oz recording and now that other say it, I don' think this is even Ozzy singing....certainly not Randy Rhodes on guitar.
Ozzy’s guitarist, Randy Rhoads, was amazing for his time. The rock/metal magazines back then were constantly comparing him to Eddie Van Halen, which was the other guitar great at the same time.
You two are absolutely my favorite "reaction video" artists....... I get to watch Brad try to understand the depth of my favorite songs, and I get to watch Lex just "feel" the music... I love it!
The original song was written by guitarist Randy Rhoads, who founded the rock band Quiet Riot in high school in the 70's. He was still living w/ his mom in '79/'80 when he auditioned for Ozzy's band at age 21/22... after 2 Quiet Riot albums released in Japan failed commercially. Rhoads was classically influenced & had no idea of Black Sabbath or Ozzy... bassist Bob Daisley wrote the original lyrics about the famed British philosopher/satanist Alistair Crowley, whose practice of 'black magic' was studied by Zeppelin's guitarist Jimmy Page. Randy Rhoads toured w/ Ozzy from '80 to '82 and only recorded 2 albums for him before a tragic plane crash took his life @ age 24 😪
I know there are a lot of negatives that come with social media and being so dependent on it.. but cross cultural appreciation is easily one of the coolest aspects. And, that's what we really need to get along.
this isnt the orignal!!!! this is a remake Ozzy did when he a Zak Wilde from Black Label Society in his band.... the original had the Great Randy Rhoads. you need to hear that Version. this one pales in comparison

"Can Guitar Hero prep you to play guitar?" I'd say, sort of. There's a kind of dexterity and finger speed it might help with, and it certainly inspired a lot of people to try to the real thing. The differences in the size of the neck and the tactile nature of buttons vs. strings are a huge difference. Then comes learning the fretboard, scales, chord structure, harmony... general music theory if you want to be remotely decent, IMO. This song was written in great part by Randy Rhoads, who was deeply schooled in classical music. This version has, I think, Zakk Wylde playing on it, which is great. Love Zakk. But sometime, check out the original, or even better, the "Randy Rhoads Tribute" album. It's live and incredible. And, because it always kicks my soul in the nuts, sad fact: Randy, my favorite guitarist ever, died on my damn birthday. No. F'ng. Joke.
I don't think this is ozzy sounds weird. Do the live Randy Rhoads versions of this stuff it's way better. It's October, you can actually watch the real videos of Bark at the moon and Crazy Train without being blocked. Bark at the moon would be great for the scary vibe.
I think the word that Lex was looking for is "ominous". Randy Rhoads' guitar riff in this song gives you a very ominous feel. Like something bad could happen.

Replying to boost your comment. I agree, that live version you posted is fire! One of the few live versions that sounds even better than the studio version in my opinion.
@@timlenard1646 Oh aye, once we're able to travel and if you have the time you should come to Scotland. I believe you would be pleasantly surprised.
Second video I'm watching on this channel and im happy to see Brad questioning lyrics and being genuinely interested in what these songs mean. Lex is of course enjoying the instrumentals as she does. Love it, great video
Most definitely a cover Randy Rhodes had a specific style and this isn't it you need to hear the original live version
I've never heard this version. This blows chunks!
It's a cover band, I'd say a pretty good one.
Diary of a madman is a must listen!!
A MASTERPIECE
Good album, but definitely not a "must".
You need to hear the studio version with Randy Rhodes on lead guitar, this lead guitar player sounds like it's Zak Wild, I think this is live.
GUYS!!!! THIS IS NOT OZZY, bad cover!!!!
Thank You very much playing this the sound is what it's all about
I've seen Ozzy twice in concert and I can absolutely affirm that this song sounds AMAZING live. He puts on a hell of a fun concert 🙋👍🤟
Best show I’ve ever see. For sure. Great comment.
I agree with you this is not Ozzy, and it sounds horrible. I even tried to Shazam the song, and there was no result.
You Guys this is Ozzy. The Song is in a different Key for a Older Ozzy with Zakk Wylde on Guitar.
@@jamesfetcho6315 No. It isn't.
@@whatchutalkinbout How much money would You like 2 put on this????, and when can I collect???
Definitely, guys. This is NOT Ozzy, at all... He doesn’t sing him one bit. I don’t think the guitarist is Zakk either. Play one of the real songs!!
Randy rhoads inspired me to pick up a guitar at 13 and haven’t looked back since def my favorite guitarist
Too bad this version doesn't have Randy Rhoads on it and I'm pretty sure it's not even Ozzy
@@billsultzbach7079 yeah some knock offs
@@Williamswartz Randy Rhoads definitely inspired me I was 14 when I picked up the guitar
This does sound like a remake with Zak Wylde on guitar.
That's exactly what I thought
Need to hear the original version with Randy Rhoads. This one is way over produced.
R-h-o-a-d-s. No 'e.'
i dont think this is Ozzy sounds like the singer has a European accent maybe German or Dutch ?
That's what you GUYS get for doing lyric videos you got the wrong version that's not Ozzy singing. Wrong ....
Per below, this is definitely not the original Blizzard of Oz recording and now that other say it, I don' think this is even Ozzy singing....certainly not Randy Rhodes on guitar.
ive never thought of this song as a call and response thing but now i cant unhear it. brilliantly interpreted lex
Ozzy’s guitarist, Randy Rhoads, was amazing for his time. The rock/metal magazines back then were constantly comparing him to Eddie Van Halen, which was the other guitar great at the same time.
Love the way Lex rocks to the guitar solos. She has got some cool vibes going on. Sending lots of love from New Zealand ❤❤
Sorry but give me the original all day over this. That said Lex rocks it like always.
You two are absolutely my favorite "reaction video" artists....... I get to watch Brad try to understand the depth of my favorite songs, and I get to watch Lex just "feel" the music... I love it!
Something is definitely off with this.
This is a cover…
I know there are a lot of negatives that come with social media and being so dependent on it.. but cross cultural appreciation is easily one of the coolest aspects. And, that's what we really need to get along.
This is definitely not Ozzy Osbourne. Lol. This is a cover.
this isnt the orignal!!!! this is a remake Ozzy did when he a Zak Wilde from Black Label Society in his band.... the original had the Great Randy Rhoads. you need to hear that Version. this one pales in comparison
This does not sound like Ozzy singing. This is not accurate. Also, this is not Randy Rhoads either. Randy is a guitar god!!
Lol not Ozzy?
@@CoboProdz i didn’t say it was not, just doesn’t sound like ozzy singing.
@@CoboProdz It's not Ozzy. This is a cover from some other musicians/band.
@@seanentrikin9263 that’s a damn good Ozzy impression if so. I’m leaning towards Ozzy. They wouldn’t have reacted to a cover. And it was a cover it would have said in the description of the video they watched
@@johnpollack5527 fair. This guy says it’s def not Ozzy. I think it is
this doesn't sound like the original version, but I hope you both will check that out because it's awesome. this is my favorite Ozzy song. I especially love the organ playing in the beginning.
Thats not Randy Rhoads on this version. That sounds like Zakk Wylde.Dissapointed in this cover version. Please find the original with Randy's blaxing guitarvwork.
I wished they had an hour long personal interview with ozzy . Brad's gonna lose his mind trying to understand ozzy
Can you guys PLEASE do the CORRECT Ozzy Osbourne song???
I recently started following this channel. My daughter was born two weeks ago, her name is Ozzy so this makes me very happy
No. F'ng. Joke.
I've a friend who got into playing through Guitar hero. Started playing as he thought why do it on a game instead of real life.
Actually knowing how to play guitar screwed me up on playing the game. A lot.
Awesome, thanks for doing this reaction. Diary of a Madman and Goodbye to Romance are two kick ass songs with Randy Rhodes on guitar!!!!
This is NOT Ozzy....some cover band/song, but absolutely NOT Ozzy.
It is Ozzy singing.
@@buckmeredith1720 Nope.
Two of the best guitar solos ever in a single song. This recording came out early 1980s and still sounds good. Randy Rhodes is the greatest ever.
I don't think this is ozzy sounds weird. Do the live Randy Rhoads versions of this stuff it's way better.
It's October, you can actually watch the real videos of Bark at the moon and Crazy Train without being blocked. Bark at the moon would be great for the scary vibe.
This has the be the best guitar work in metal history. People are still trying to recreate what Randy invented
I think the word that Lex was looking for is "ominous". Randy Rhoads' guitar riff in this song gives you a very ominous feel. Like something bad could happen.
Yeah but this isn’t Randy playing this is Zach this is a newer version
The original Randy Rhodes version was awesome..😉
You should react to Ozzy’s guitarist “Zakk Wylde rips amazing guitar solo over Andi James Track.” Izzy had two of the greatest guitarists of all time Zakk and Randy Rhoads. Another great reaction Lex and Brad 👌🏻🤘🏻
Ozzy is the crowned king of metal! Such a musical genius and such a sweet person! I'd love to see y'all's reactions to Suicide Solution, You're No Different, So Tired, and of course Goodbye To Romance. My mom absolutely loved that song!
This sounds like a re-recording. The original band was much better with Lee Kerslake, Bob Daisley and Randy Rhodes
Sounds like a soundboard recording from a live show to me, but yes the original with that lineup is superior in every way.
@@shspurs1342 It's Ozzy singing the song he wrote. Ozzy is from England which explains the accent you hear. Please don't comment on things you know nothing about. kthx bubye.
@@shspurs1342 You're wrong. You don't know what you're talking about.
Lex you were straight on point with explaining the vibe of the guitars. Damn I'm proud of you guys.
This is not the original sound, sounds remastered. Just doesn't have the same feel!
Not even that, is just a bad cover!
The accent is so weirdly bizarre that I thought they may have played an Ozzy cover band by accident.
that must be a remake version, cause that doesn't sound like the original.
Randy Rhodes was one of the greatest guitarist around. Unfortunate that we lost him at such a young age
This is NOT Ozzy Osbourne. This is a cover version.
One of his most atmospheric songs! also the guitarist in Led Zeppelin bought Crowley's house
Randy Rhoads is my fave guitarist next to Eddie Van Halen. Those two are rocking the Heavens right now with their guitar prowess.
I dont believe this is Randy but you need to do the original on the Blizzard of Oz album to get the gist of Randys guitar prowess
And dimebag... you can't forget dime
It sounds like a cover
This version is is wrong!!!! It sounds like a demo doesn't even sound like Ozzy singing
That's definitely Ozzy but there's a lot of reverb in his voice. That sounds like Zakk Wilde on guitar. Zakk actually does this song justice considering he is covering Randy. I don't know how many people could do that good of a cover.
