I purchased and installed this physical button console a couple days ago. I plugged in the USB charger and charged the unit (rechargeable battery) over 8 hours. The red light on the console still stayed red? When I unplugged the USB, the unit does not work and has no power? There is no on/off switch. Is my unit defective because the only way the unit has power is having the USB cord attached which should not be the case. The unit has the built in rechargeable battery.

Does changing spinning the knob actually even adjust the temperature? Isn't it redundant if it doesn't? Hope I'm wrong and don't mean to be curt, but it defeats the purpose if you ask me..
