my pleasure thank you so much :)
Thank you so much ! Plz make one on the really intricate baroque mold as well -
I do have the moulds so ill see if I can incorporate it in a tutorial...
Its A Piece Of Cake I can’t tank you enough -- it’s super difficult . Insta has an account / cupcaker Bradford - her cakes use those molds and I can’t figure Out how in the world does she manage to make it .
Hi, I looked at her page. Her cakes are beautiful. The moulds she uses are EXACTLY the same moulds I have and they are used in the same method I have showed in the video. The only difference is when using such small intricate moulds using fondant is abit challenging because its soft and will stretch or rip as you remove them. So you must either use gumpaste or add cnc to your fondant to make your fondant firmer (stronger) so it holds its shape. So brush your mould with corn flour then use gumpaste or the cnc kneaded into fondant then roll out a thin string and insert that in your very fine mould then leave it in the mould for about 15mins just to let the fondant/gumpaste to firm abit and then remove from mould.
I will try and record a tutorial on them..
Looking forward to it !! I can’t fathom how much time it takes her
Great video thankyou you make it look so easy x
Oh Alison moulds are I would say the easiest thing in asking world. If your a beginner then just brush your mould with a lot of cornflour that way the fondant would never stick. And make sure you fondant is smooth before using it...so you won't have any marks or cracks on it...
@@ItsAPieceOfCake thankyou so much for the advise ive got lots of silicone moulds and with your video and advise i can now use them properly thankyou x
GREAT TUTORIAL‼️
Super krasota 👌
Wooooooooow awesome
thank you so much!
You are so great
Tashanna, Thank you very much. So happy it's been appreciated by you 💓
I jus did a trial on a mould with fondant n it was a failure. I will try again n use ur technique. Thnx
Hi Jenny, although it's 1 whole year later. I'm curious if my tutorial did help you?
Great job, they are so pretty. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have so many different molds and wanted to start using them. Love love the multiple colors. I was wondering how to do thay.
Irene, I LOVE working with moulds! And when you get experience and understand how easy it is, it becomes so addictive!
I was wondering do you know why people put their fondant molds in the freezer before they put the fondant in the mold?
Hi! I just watched your video and really like what you called the "round garden" mold. I've searched everything I can think of to call it on ebay. Do you know the name of that mold or the name of the lister you purchased it from? I didn't know if you might have a receipt of have it in your purchase history here. Thank you!!
Hi Cheryl, sorry for the late reply. This video is so old, so I'm not sure if these moulds are even still available, but I will search and see if I can find them. I did search through my purchase history, and unfortunately, it doesn't go back that far. Leave it with me and I'll get back to you either way...
Would this work with marshmallow fondant recipe?
You really take your time for me to learning thanks u
Thank you, Tashanna. I really appreciate your kind words! ❤️
Hi can I rest the pre-made foundant decoration in the fridge 1 or 2 days earlier or at room temperature?
Thank you so much... learnt so much 😀
😃
I have a question where do you buy different color paste? Or do you put food coloring?
Thank you!
This is so full help .Thank You so much For sharing 😂
You are so welcome!
How to remove or dust cornstarch from the fondant decorations apart from using vodka.
Great non-stick spray tip for the vibrant/dark colors! Is there any benefit of having the fondant sit in the mold for a little longer? Thank you!
hi sorry for the very late reply. not sure if its of any help now...but no theres really no benefit. I know some people place them in the freezer for a quick 10 minutes to harden up so its firmer when they release it but I find it no difference...
hi want to buy this silicon mould. can u send link for the same
I am love with your all molds, so detailed . Could you pls tell me where to buy them specially flowers one
Hi I purchased them all of ebay. If you search for silicone moulds on eBay you will see them...
@@ItsAPieceOfCake do you mind sharing link? I can’t find this drape bow anywhere
Not even on eBay.
very detailed
thank you Ice :)
Is there something else I can use instead of corn flour for dusting the molds ?
Hi Monika, Yes, you can use icing soft mixture or icing sugar. Just don't use too much because it can dry out the fondant so you might get creases...
@@ItsAPieceOfCake thank you so much !
what brand of fondant do you use also can I use icing sugar instead of cornflour?
to be honest I use the cheapest fondant...i use BAKELS fondant it comes in a 7kilo tub and is about $55...it tastes nice and very easy to work with. I NEVER ever use icing sugar. adding more sugar to the fondant drys it out much quicker than corn flour...with icing sugar you get more of a stiffer fondant but means you have to work really fast or else you get "elephant skin"...if you practise with corn flour and icing sugar you will get what i mean...
Do you use tylose in your fondant?
No. I only use it if I need the fondant to dry out fast and is a topper - eg, numbers, tiaras, anything that needs to stand alone. You have to be experienced with fondant before using tylose because it dries the fondant fast which means you have to work fast.
Where do you leave the fondant to dry , and how long do they have to dry
I just leave them on the table let them normally dry overnight then put them in a plastic food container...and whenever i need them will use them...when i used to make them for my cakes i would make them atleast 2 weeks in advance and leave them in airtight container.
the drape bow mold where did you get it? and the big long flower light grey molds? you made a red and black flower
Hi i purchased them both from eBay. just search for bow drape silicone moulds and flower moulds and they'll be lots of moulds and if you search throughly you will find them. If you have trouble message me though Instagram and i can send you the link...
Its A Piece Of Cake can you also send me link too
Its A Piece Of Cake - do you mind the link for red-black flower mould I am not having any luck - txs
Love your tutorial - can you please send me the link of purple- pink flower mould - checked on eBay- no luck -thank you
thank you. message me through Instagram and ill try and help through there. I cant add links.
Let's say I use white fondant, and want to color them , which paint do I use to paint them?
Hi Mariana, i highly recommend that you colour your fondant beforehand. Use americolour gel or wilton gel. I prefer americolour. Knead the gel into your fondant and add a little gel at a time because they are pretty strong in colour. If you want to colour your fondant after using on moulds.. then use the lustre powders or any edible powders but dilute the powder with rose spirit...
@@ItsAPieceOfCake thank you!! For replying I really appreciate it 😊
my pleasure 💜💝
Where did you purchase them from?
Hi Lena, I purchase all my moulds on eBay...
Is corn flour the same as corn starch?
from what I have googled they are exactly the same product..
@@ItsAPieceOfCake thank you
My fondant always break taking out from mold and yes I dust cornflour I use dr oetker fondant 😭
Thats so terrible. Well you must try a different fondant. If your from Australia search online for bakels its a fantastic fondant. Its not to firm not to soft and its very reasonably priced (7kg under $50) so for even practicing its a good buy...
Mine breaks too - I bought moulds the fondant design is so thin they break so easily
Nice but you should start with which fondant you used
Fondant is fondant it doesn't matter what brand you use. I use what ever fondant I have available at the time. Im showing how I use fondant on silicone moulds. This method will work with whatever fondant you decide to use.
which brand silicon clay is used?
hi sultan i buy all of them on ebay just any brand...never had an issue...
appreciate your response. greetings from Chicago.
Another video where the person doing it insists on doing a speeded up video, Why?.
What are you dusting the mold up with?
with corn flour...
