- In this video, I'm still in Australia as finals day has issues with the Sun. We couldn't see on half the course she had to push the event back as far as we could into the evening to runs best run count. Sadly I didn't get it on my runs and I came dead last, but it's part of it onto the next one.

I noticed they favor the oppo tricks more and more, i see why on some stuff but i want to see Emil do a twister or a double flip. these hard risk tricks should be awarded more!!!
Emil's riding is no doubt a technical masterpiece, but its really quite boring with no big tricks. They really need to award those pushing for the huge tricks equally as much as the technicality

Yea it's like the "amplitude" of tricks is outweighed by the technicality of tricks and riders. But for an average viewer who might just flick onto crankworks by chance seeing a double flip or huge fronty tuck will look way sicker than say a double truck tuck or something tech. < atleast that's how I see it, big flashy tricks catch attention from viewers whereas more tech tricks gets attention from the hard core slope and DJ fans. I kind of liken it to freestyle moto in this way too. But obviously the comp side of things really seems to push the tech mixed with amplitude and style. But it'll change with time and as styles and fashions change. It'll get to the point where a 360 quad bar is just pointless. < look at big air snowboard and skiing at the Olympics, whoever does the most spins wins gold even though it looks like absolute rubbish. Style died there though 🤷, either way I enjoy tom's style and riding, big tricks good flow and pretty fast speeds makes for an entertaining run for sure! Better luck next time though 😊

i commented like a million times but anyway you can toss a double flip but one like you did at Audi nines the double barrel roll. I think that in place of the double flip might boost that score good. dont think anyone has dont it in comp!!! i might be wrong but i know when Tom does those corked flat drops the announcers always compliment it.
From memory of that brutal vid from 3(?) years ago, he did attempt after attempt and got close but never quite rode out on that airbag landing, I believe?
@@ManWalksDogs that was a triple he was going for!!!! he did the double flip and double barrel roll as a warm up!!! yes yea it was like prob 3 year ago. he has the double barrel roll in his bag!!
@@incredible5587 oh yeah, bloody hell!! i suppose it depends on the course if it can suit or fit a double barrel roll in or not (regarding width of run out and how it then lines up to next jump)
@@ManWalksDogs any jump he is double flipping on should be good and there are wo that would suit that well. the box he was jumping over and the last jump. I just dont think anyone has seen it dont in contest or much at all. i know that when he did it people were pissed cause no one recorded it besides Toms POV footage. i think it would help him score. i had to edit my OG Post i forgot to add the benefit!!! they always compliment his corked out flat drop flips.

next time you will kill it, i think the judges and riders not you but a lot of them are just favoring Emil cause Dawids 1st run was def a better run than Emil. They set Emils runs to high on 1st runs. his runs are getting boring spins and whips in all mirrored. he obviously has no opposite!! I hope they do what they did with FMX and start to dock points for doing similar runs each time, I feel the runs you are throwing down are top 3 every time, besides crashes but when you make a clean run its always stellar. its seem Dawid Tom and Nickoli are the only ones that want to win!!!! the 2nd run showdown is almost non existent anymore. we can always expect it from the 3 riders i mentioned. the comradery is great but in the end it is a competition. Rooting for you on the next one and the next one and the next one!!!! soon enough number 1 for Tom Isted!!!!
