Mexican Pizzia was my all time favorite..
Yeah, I hate Taco bell for dropping the Pizza, I loved it.
Love Taco Bell but haven't been in years. My first taco from the bell was 1975 in Mississippi after coming back from deployment. Crunchy tacos and a burrito supreme. Almost forgot the taco salad with their green sauce.
I loved the enchirito smothered in green sauce with extra cheese 😋 and the bell Beefer yum I miss that . It was a hamburger bun with meat , red sauce and cheese . Yum.
Brown your ground beef in a pot and while browning add water and use your hand held electric mixer. Makes it really fine textured.
Oooh - excellent tip!
My mom makes hotdog chili using this method and it’s the bomb!
U can also try using an electric pressure cooker - under pressure, and using a trivet, I find the beef comes apart very finely.
Shows you how not "up" on things I am that last week, i had a craving for a taco salad, saw a Taco Bell, and went through the drive-thru where I ordered it. Was told they no longer carried it, so I said thanks and got out of line. (Hadn't had a taco salad in years).
Encherito.....miss that
The best item ever
I worked at the 1st Taco bell in Ft. Myers Fla. when it opened ..That has been 44 yrs. ago.We had a BELL BEEFER on the menu that was soooo good !!!!! It was a steamed hamburger bun with all the taco fixings...I still make that at home for myself......some good things just can't be forgotten !!!!!!!!!!!!
Love that name - Bell Beefer! Thanks for sharing
My husband and I lived in Louisville Ky.42 years ago and we ordered the Bell Beefers all the time they were great! Our apartment was right behind the Taco Bell on Preston Ave. At the Marsha K apartments. We had our own Taco Bell right there. Wish they would bring those back....
I really miss the Tostada. It was along the same idea as the Mexican Pizza, but different toppings on top.
I’m sad about the Mexican pizza too. A friend of mine used to work there years ago and she said one of the ingredients for the sauce was “like a stewed tomatoes”
Tip from a Latina... toast that flour tortilla on your gas stove top for 10 seconds for even more flavor. I haven’t been to a Taco Bell since college so this was fun to watch.
Great idea!!
The Mexican Pizza was my favorite they stopped making. Great job. Thank you.
No problem!
I loved the fiesta potatoes without sour cream, I'm gonna miss those and the Mexican pizza!
My husband is very unhappy about the pizza being discontinued!😅 Love your top! Where can I find one😍
I bake my corn tortillas on a non-greased baking sheet (325 degrees) to get a crunchy texture for tostadas. That way you can do up to 6 at a time. I’ll bet it would work for flour tortillas also. Oh, and I flip them a couple times during cooking to get an even drying out..... Love your channel.
Thanks Nicole! The egg potato is what I miss the most. It was in the same little black bowl. It was scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a fresh tomato salsa. It was fantastic and only cost $1.50 or something like that. It wasn't on the menu very long. I tried making it, but mine wasn't the same.
What about the enchorito?
I'm so sad about the enchirito
The one item I miss the most are the caramel apple empanadas. Thank you for this!
I never had those before! Thanks for the comment :)
Yeeesssssss... those were good!
Loved them!
I am one who is VERY saddened by the Fiesta Potatoes being gone!! 😕 They had a chili cheese burrito "Chilito" that they don't make any longer also. They have also stopped making loaded grillers burritos.
The Chilito was my fave!! I miss it so much! - MyRecipes
@@myrecipes Mine too!! I used to buy it at school for lunch, when the food cart came lol
Yes! I miss the chilito and the enchirito too :(
I will miss the Mexican pizza and spicy potato taco the most. 😭
They all sound pretty good. I must admit I haven't been to Taco Bell in many years. I'm an older gal that remembers when they first came to be and had the enchirito and burrito supreme which were always my faves, and those original tacos that I'm sure are the same.
Yes the enchirito originally with black olives!!!
@@numbernine3436 Oh man, I could go for one of those right now!!
@@kathyway8426 they stopped enchiritos years ago but would still make them until a few months ago. Chicken power bowl is really good esp if ur not looking for tons of carbs. There's a little rice but u can substitute it.
My daughter and I both loved the enchrito! :(
Yep, was like $0.29 for the original hard-shell beef taco. Never tried their 'enchirito', but as a young kid I can remember getting the side eye as I'd order. A taco... w/ no lettuce or cheese, please. Nearly every time, they'd look at me, confused & say, "huh? ... sooooo you really JUST want the shell + meat??" =p Funny that if I were to go, I'd prob. still get it w/ no lettuce.. even (cough20+) years later. Cheese, good... lettuce, still 'bleh. LOL OH, & yes.. they still are the exact same taste-wise. They do give you a little less 'stuff' & the amt of, I'm sure has to be pre-portioned. As a kid.. they were more free to eye-ball the amts it seemed. They were sure to usually put a little extra ground meat in the shell most times (probably felt bad for me since that's all there was in there) lol Another find & something I hadn't had except for once or twice as a very young child on our way somewhere.... a place called Jack in the Box. I had their tacos & really liked them. Then, they took them out of Chicago... & I haven't seen one since. Then comes a few years ago & Burger King does this promo thing where they are now going to try & offer TACOS. They were like 2 for a buck, how good could they be?! Who'd-a-thunk...... The very second I opened the bag, caught the scent of & then tasted... holy hell, how is this the exact same as Jack-in-the-Box?? No way... yep, whatever sauce they use.. + the shell w/ a slice of cheese in there, deep fried as a whole? Idk, but it was f'in... delicious! Next time I went.... they were gone again. =( ~ Stay safe & be well.
I miss their spicy potato taco. It was soooo good! Never tried the fiesta potatoes.
My daughter LOVED the Steak quesarito...That & the Fiesta potatoes is the only thing she would eat @ Taco Bell & I loved their Taco Salad but that's gone as well...So I guess No more Taco Bell for us 😕
Bummer!
Im so sad to c the fiesta potatoes go away i loved them so much.the yummy well cooked season potatoes and that delicious nacho cheese and the cool sour cream😋💖.oh u gotta try the cheesy potato burrito it has the ground beef the potatoes nacho cheese and sour cream.and its jus delicious.sometimes i jus get 2 of those and extra nacho cheese and dip it in.😋🌯🌮😋🌮🌯😋🌯🌮
The cheesy fiesta potatoes have been my Taco Bell staple since high school. Glad they’re back now. ☺️
I really miss the Spicy Potato Taco from the $1.00 menu.
My Mom and Dad LOVED a product they made years, and years ago. I believe it was called Enchirito. Dad especially loved it.
I loved the feista potatoes i was sad to see them go.
I totally lovef ur video with the biscuts, awesome thanks
The fiesta potatoes were my go-to add on item!!!
I loved the fiesta potatoes and the potatoe taco! I love this video. Thank you so much.
Ohhhhhhh noooooooooo...... I love the Fiesta Potatoes!! I'm devastated 😪😪😪😪 Lol
It's the end of an era!
I love the Chessy Fiesta Potatoes!!! Also love the now defunct DOUBLE XL Grilled Stuff Beef Burtito!!! It would be awesome if you did a vid on that!!
Thank you so much cant wait to try this .
Try the recipe on Pinterest for the taco pizza...it is spot on...love the videos💐
I've never had the fiesta potatoes, but the spicy potato soft taco was one of my Taco Bell favorites. I'm so sad to see it go.
you are a great watch!! i love your candidness!!
I loved the cheesy fiesta potatoes!!!
Taco pizza looks good. I have never tried it. I think I'll try to make it but I would add some lettuce once it's out of oven. I used to get a taco pizza from Shakeys Pizza back in the 70s. Loved it. They don't make it anymore and not sure they're still in business. I really hate when these places discontinue items.
Shakeys! That's a blast from the past
Mexican Pizza. I’m not sure if you just made my life better or jumpstarted my demise, but I love you for it! 😂
I love this video. I used to work at Taco Bell, long long time ago. I just started my own youtube channel and I find your videos so inspiring.
Thank you ❣️
The major thing I miss (and totally thought they would bring back) is the green sauce. I was thinking that is the best sauce ever. I would always ask for bunches of it and take some home with me.
They brought it back but it doesn't taste the same.
Fiesta potatoes are my daughter’s favorite!! She’s Irish ☘️ and her best friend is Mexican so my daughter was around the Mexican Grandma who cooked EVERYTHING!! 🧡🧡🧡
TB was my first job as a teen in the 80s. The menu items I miss from back then are: Taco burgers, tostadas, Encharitos, Green Sauce, Black olives on Burrito Supremes and Cinnamon Crispas. The biggest thing missing is that in the 80's everything was fresh. Fresh ground beef not frozen, the chips and taco shells were fried in store every morning. The refried beans started as dry pinto beans that were pressure cooked and then refried in lard, definitely not vegetarian.
Thank you for sharing the potatoes and mexican pizza was always my favorite from taco bell
So good!
I never knew you could buy the beans I love them thanks for sharing yum
Thank you so much!!!
You're welcome!
I loved the Fiesta Potatoes as a add on to when I get my free items from earning points. Thanks for the showing on how to recreate them at home. Thank you 😊 💓
I love the fiesta potatoes! My daughter got me hooked last year so I’m devastated!
It's so good!
Ok so my man just watched this video with me and he wanted to see if you could make the taco bell chili chesses burrito 🌯. That's his favorite but they took it off menu forever ago. 💔
Never had this but this sounds UHHMAZING. Would definitely love to try & make it!
Jajaja, " yo quiero taco bell", too! Girly i loved this video, i didn't know so many items were off their menu already. I'm def. gonna miss all of these, i loved their tostada bowl, the 7 layer burrito, mexican pizza & the cheesy fiesta potatoes. :(
Loved them with there potato loaded burrito
Thank you
When they stopped making Enchiritos. I started making them at home. Even when they brought them back they stopped using black olives. One of my favorite parts.
I moved to a rural area and haven’t been to a fast-food place in over a year, even when I go into the city. We go to locally-owned restaurants and I’m a great home cook. I don’t miss fast food chains at all!!
Nacho supreme is my favorite it was expensive here though. I usually got brand instead of meat,no sour cream and I used to ask for no cheese and add lettuce & tomatoes but they charged me an extra $1 almost. It was nice when they used green onions on it too years ago.
i'm so mad they stopped the nacho grande and the grill steak taquitos i stop going for 5 yrs and then nacho grande box was my jam they stopped i backed out of the drive through
My oldest son LOVES the fiesta potatoes. Always has.
I love your recipes
So yummy ❤️
I loved the encharitos w their green sauce. I miss them
I love watching you and watching you recreate stuff you never said what the nacho cheese was made out of I know you can't just buy nacho cheese is it the one in the jar? And if it is taco Bell put some kind of seasoning in it it's not just plain nacho cheese if you know how they make it could you please let me know thank you
Love Mexican pizza......looks good
Fun!
FYI sauce for Mexican Pizza was Italian seasonings in a red enchilada sauce. I worked a long time at Taco Bell. Biggest item I miss is a Taco Bell Beefer. Hamburger bun with taco meat lettuce and cheese YUMMY ❤
Oh no. I LOVE Taco Bell. Thank you for the video
Burito looks amazing
Thank you for these hacks. I am one who is missing the fiesta potatoes 😞
I love your videos- I thought the Mexican pizza was made with corn tortillas ? U do a great jib
🌹 New subscriber! Great video!
I loved the meximelts seconded by the Mexican pizza. Miss them both. 😢
Steak quesarito -my family loves this one
My son loved the fiesta potatoes and I didn't mind them myself
I miss The Chilito (Chili Cheese Burrito) and The Mexican Rice topped with cheese and scallions. This were my absolute faves, both have been gone for ages!
I loved the taco salads I was so sad when that was discontinued
Yo quiero Taco Bell tambien.
I want Taco Bell too..Thanks for the recipes,, you are awesome..
So, my son was addicted to the fiesta potatoes. Then a couple months ago our local TB started selling them in the morning time *only*. And of course he hasn’t had them in forever. Which is actually a good thing for us parents because he has a terrible diet anyways, so now we have a reason to tell him we can’t go get him any 😆😆 My opinion is that you did an excellent job on the fiesta potatoes. Thanks for sharing!!
I still get the steak steak taco all the time!!! OMG I hope it doesn’t leave the menu I’ll have to start making them myself for sure
Please tell me how to make a meximelt! My very favorite!!!
My high-school and college fav was the BEEF Burrito!!!.....It was huge....Beef....cheese....onion...taco sauce.....and nothing else!!!!! .....Gone a long time ago🤗🤗.... Second was the Double Decker...sad to see em go.......
So good!
Nice ! liked
Thank you! Cheers!
This is a great idea because Saturday night bible study bunch of people get together and we have tacos night .
My go to was the chili cheese burrito, beef meximelt and Mexican pizza...all discontinued.
I made the pizzas using tostadas, also you can buy actual Taco Bell mild sauce from grocery stores. Anytime I am doing Tex-Mex I use mild sauce as my secret ingredient
I’m dating myself, but they used to make this thing called an Encharito....
Those were the best!
Enchirio!
Love toco bell 🔔
My daughter loved those potatoes
How about the tostada. I t was one of my favorites before they got rid of it. .. made right it was absolutely delicious!!
The Encharito, The Bell Beefer 2 excellent items they retired like 30yrs ago
Add water to the bottom of the pan with the raw hamburger just enough to cover the bottom of the pan, you will get the finely ground meat you’re looking for.
Meximelts were my favorite!
I love the Mexican pizza.
Fiesta potatoes were my absolute favorite!!! They have taken soooooo many ingredients out of and now it's just gone it's gone😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Wish you could recreate the chili beef burrito
I would love to see how you make Nacho cheese. Please??
Once in a while you can get the flours they used for the taco pizza. They aren’t the same as the ones used for burritos. They are made with lard and are kinda greasy, but they crisp up easy. They look greasy in the package. I see them, on occasion, at Walmart. HINT: they are also the ones used for taco salad bowls.(they’re fun to bake and make mexi-pizza perfect!)
I love green onions on my nachos! Also
To get that Taco Bell flavor add cream cheese to your melted processed cheese.
Ooh good tip!
Hot sauce, wal mat has Taco Bell hot sauce. I love the fire. 😂 it hurts so good.
