RB30DET powered R32 Skyline GTS-t 1/4 mile run

Go-pro footage of one of Phil's runs at Masterton Motorplex in his RB30DET powered R32 GTSt.
This run is on pump gas (98 RON) and 18 inch street tyres, and did a PB of 11.9 on the day.

How much rwhp is it running?
I’m tuning a similar setup. Nice to see an Rb smash a v8!

Not an easy answer here, it runs boost per gear and I can't remember the exact settings at this point but probably about 400whp in 1st/2nd gear up until about 550-600whp in 4th and 5th in this video

RB30?! Really? Its a strocked rb26 right?

No, it's an RB25DET head on an RB30E block if I were going to be specific. Why do you ask if it's a stroked 26?

@@misterlith Honestly my stupid ass didnt know there were RB30s. I feel dumb since Ive been into nissans for a long time. Are RB30s hard to find nowadays? Is the RB25 head basically plug and play?

@@deadhead7930 definitely harder to find these days but they are definitely out there. The RB25 in this case not so much plug and play as for a start it's a VCT head going onto a block not designed for that so work needs to be done to get oil to the VCT solenoid among other things. It's not a massive massive job but there is a little work in getting the right parts to combine them (like the right belts etc) and possibly making the twin cam head fit in the engine bay on a taller deck.
It's a super common conversion these days tho

the rb30 motor was in the Aussie nissan R31 skyline and the Holden VL commodore which also had a turbo variant
