Hi just wanted to make sure your ok. I am currently working on learning sign language and it very challenging but highly rewarding thank you for being you.
I just discovered channel and have been watching your past videos and just now noticed you haven’t updated in a while. So I hope you are doing well even tho I’m new to your channel! Your communication ability really just shows how you can understand your loved ones in ways that you don’t even need words or even signs to say or show. You have your own ways of communicating and understand each and are willing to work out all the kinks that happen. As all people do even if they both are hearing, communication goes beyond just speaking the same language and hearing! I love seeing the connection between you too. You communicate better then my own family which says a lot. It reminds me of how my mom and sister are always fighting and have terrible communication but I somehow am able to understand her without even words or tone of voice. Like you’ve said it a previous video, it’s all about learning facial expressions, and phrases they say and knowing how they react and just are as a person. That’s how you truly understand someone. Just basic speaking communication doesn’t always come across easily between people cause they don’t understand each other as you do with your friends and loved ones. I mean even people with disabilities and comprehension skills have barriers to communication, and to understand them and communicate you have learn how to speak or understand their way of expressing what they feel and want to say. I find very rude and strange for people to ask why anyone would date someone or be with someone who’s deaf, like that is basically saying they are too much work why would you want to be someone who is harder to communicate with. You could say that about any trait in my opinion of a person. Why are you dating them they aren’t very bright, they are very short tempered, they have a terminal illness, they have a crappy family etc. obviously you will be with someone if you want to be with them. If you love each other or find happiness that you would rather deal with difficulties other people might not have, rather than be without it. Your gonna be with that Person and it will work if you want it too or let it. I’m sorry that was an entire essay for no reason. But I hope you update sometime even if it’s just a short clip of Java and you two saying Hello or telling us if you are planning on taking a break from UA-cam or focusing on other things for now on or just what you’re up to

Hey guys! Congrats! I just recently joined an ASL club at my high school, and I got to sign with a deaf person for the first time. Super cool, and I wish you guys the best! Question about your wedding: I know Ryan has mentioned before that music can be aggravating at times. I'm in collage studying sign language and a while back when I wasn't as fluent I would watch your videos. But I'm proud to say I can now understand every thing you sign! I don't know who will see this but just wanted to share. Thank you sign duo!
Hi Sign Duo! I just started watching your channel a few weeks ago and have been watching to help me practice sign language. I've been watching UA-cam videos to learn finger spelling and expand my ASL vocabulary. I don't have anyone to practice with so it helps me a great deal to watch you sign. I've been wanting to learn for so long and have committed myself this year to learn as much as I can. I don't know anyone from the deaf community but I've worked in a museum and was really frustrated that I could not communicate well with a non-hearing guest. I could barely finger spell at the time but they appreciated my effort. Congratulations on your engagement. I think you're a lovely couple and wish you all the best. And Java is adorable!
Any idea when you both are returning with new videos? I'm sure I'm not the only one to miss seeing you both in the videos. Have you decided more about what you are going to do for the wedding Miss your signing and your cute videos.
Congratulations!! I am really happy for you two. On a different topic: What about you two interviewing Ryan's mom about her experiences? Her take on how to sensitize and educate hearing folks to communicate better with deaf folks. How about interviewing a teacher from your school ? What did they learn and do differently because they had you in their class. Thank you.
All those pastries in the shop you were in looked delicious! Made me hungry 😋 I like the idea of the two interpreters for your wedding. I hadn’t even thought about that actually. I’ve been to a wedding before where an interpreter was used but it was for the groom’s family member that was deaf only.
Congrats guys! I've been watching you for years now, and I'm actually minoring in ASL right now because you inspired me! Wishing you all the happiness in your future!
Great idea to have an interpreter at the wedding but also it’s your big day and it’s all about you and your groom. So people should teach themselves if they wish to be more engaged with the wedding day.
Congratulations!!!! I'm glad I tuned in. Was thinking I hadn't seen your videos lately and this was the first search result. So excited for you both to continue on your journey and celebrate this milestone with all of your loved ones.
I love watching your videos for so many reasons! You are both so sweet! I also love seeing my hometown on display! You give me new places to go check out when I am in town too!
I remember learning asl at home during covid and then coming upon this couple and they were amazing. They taught me that I could read a bit without having to use captions or anything. My favorite couple and I’m so happy they are engaged. I wanted to learn because I wanted to expand that side of language where not everyone learns and not everyone doesn’t know who they’ll bump into but I am hoping they will post soon :)
I can't wait for the wedding video. I hope you'll share it with us. It's been so great watching you over the years. Ellen, you're going to look just gorgeous on the day. Have you guys thought about timing? Maybe I missed it earlier, but what time of year were you thinking?
A Big CONGRATS to you both on your engagement. May your years together, bring you lots of memories, lots of smiles and most importantly lots of happiness :)
Love you guys! Been subscribed since the beginning of my ASL journey, so for the last 3 years. Now I’m almost into my final year of my ITP and your videos are great for interpreting practice. I just turn off the sound and the captions and practice my voicing. So thanks for that. :) I’m so happy for you and wish you the best! Can’t wait for more updates!
Being in the moment is the most important thing to remember on your wedding day. There can be so many distractions and logistics, but the best advice we received when we got married was to just enjoy it. (And to take two special moments - one for just you two, and one to appreciate all the people supporting you.) There shouldn't be any extra responsibilities on Ellen that day. I assume you'll think through your interpretation needs for the reception too so that Ellen or other family don't have to interpret and can just be there enjoying the party.
I was SO excited when I saw that this video was up this morning! I've loved watching your videos over the years and you guys are the reason I decided to learn ASL at college. Congrats on your engagement, I'm sure the wedding will be beautiful!
I just wanted to say THANK YOU GUYS!! I have been watching you guys for about 2 years now. I stumbled across your videos and fell in love with you guys and with sign language. I am 40 years old and I have decided to go back to school after 20+ years. I am currently taking ASL 201 and hope to pursue a new career in ASL. Sometimes I go back and watch your old video's and I can almost watch without the captions. You guys are the cutest and am so excited for your wedding. I hope you guys keep making videos. Also I just ordered a sweater from your store cant wait to wear it. Love you guys!!!

Just found your channel and watched a couple of videos. What more can I say but, "Excellent". Thank you so much for sharing your story and helping to inspire others. Congratulations on your engagement and I hope to see another video sometime soon. Hope you are enjoying the next chapter of your lives together!

Omg, I’m so excited for you two! What a wonderful partnership! I wish you both all the happiness in the world and so look forward to more videos (as you can fit them in of course, understanding that you’re very busy 🙂).Thank you for sharing of yourselves with us, it’s been a blessing for me.
My husband and I are a bilingual/ bicultural couple. For our wedding, we had a "mixed" ceremony with some parts in one language and other parts in the other language. The reason we decided to do it that way is because of the amount of time it took to wait for somebody to interpret each section. It was "take a wedding and make it almost double as long." So instead of each part being repeated, I did my portions in my native language and my husband did his portions in his native language. We also had readings from both languages. I'm not sure if you all will have that problem since it seems that sign language interpreting is almost simultaneous. But that might be something to consider as well. Good luck with wedding planning and know that whatever you decide, it will be perfect for you guys!
So exciting to be planning it all out! 💕 I have no doubt your ceremony and reception will represent you both. Also, Ellen, your nail polish 💅🏽 is 🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍
I love to be engaged in to your conversations! It's very beautiful to me. Please always continue to share your life with us! Someday there will be TV show based on your wonderful life together. Many blessings for your future!

Hey Guys. I'd like to share with you how my wife and I got married. Her maid of Honor was also my sign language teacher. We are Catholic so we had a best man for me and a maid of honor for Danielle plus the priest. The priest figured out that because Danielle needed to see the interpreter that the best man would stand next to Danielle and her maid of honor (the sign language teacher) would stand next to me. In this way Danielle's interpreter is clearly in her sight. One amazing thing happend which suprised me. When we took our vows Danielle not only signed "I DO" but she also Voiced the "I DO." Knowing how reluctant Danielle was to speak in front of other people I began to tear up right then and there. The ceremony was extremely beautiful. Take care, God bless.
Hey yall, im new to your channel. I am very interested about learning ASL. Its very entertaining and fun. You are awesome. Congratulations of getting engaged. Wish you both good luck on your wedding. Keep it up! :) I love how you also put up Subtitle its really helpful.
I also am in a bilingual Deaf/hearing marriage. For our wedding we really wanted to make it Deaf-friendly so what we did was have a hearing officiant who sim-commed(which was fine for my husband), along with 2 ASL interpreters. 1 signed for the Deaf guests in the audience and 1 signed for one of the Deaf groomsmen. For our personal vows we both typed them up ahead of time and sent them to my maid if honor so she could create a brochure that was given to everyone. We both signed our vows and those who did not know ASL were able to follow along reading from the brochure. This also kept our vows a secret from each other until the actual wedding. For the reception I had ahead of time created a special UA-cam playlist(paid a little extra for no ads in between) and added a bunch or lyrics videos of songs we wanted played so every song also had the lyrics displayed on a large screen for the Deaf to follow along. We had one ASL Interpreter up on stage with us for my husband's access and one ASL Interpreter down by the table where all of our Deaf guests sat to provide access for them. I was told it was the most Deaf-friendly wedding ever lol.
Congratulations on your engagement!! Such an exciting time for you both. I hope wedding planning is an enjoyable process and everything works out beautifully without too much stress. 💕
We've missed y'all so much!🥺 I think everyone can relate to feeling pressure to keep up with other people on social media, even without huge followings. Honestly that's why I've taken a step back from social media myself, I think privacy helps you to live more authentically and not let other people's perceptions hold you back. It sounds like that's what y'all ultimately decided to do I think that's amazing, PROTECT UR PEACE! 😂 especially while you're going through periods of transition like ths. As for the home proposal I looove intimate and romantic proposals, it depends on your person what they'd prefer but this honestly sounds like something out of a romance book. It was cute and special to y'all and I'm so glad y'all are happy and going strong
My husband is deaf and when we got married we hired two interpreters just like you were saying. It would not be fair to the bride to have that responsibility of interpreting. We also made sure at least one interpreter stayed for photos and the reception so I suggest that if you can. (Don’t forget rehearsal night as well!)

Have you decided more about what you are going to do for the wedding
Miss your signing and your cute videos.
Thank you.
Really happy for you guys! Hope everything is going well with you and with planning the ceremony!
very excited for the both of you looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for you both.
The way you two look at each other is magical :')) I'm so happy for you both.
All those pastries in the shop you were in looked delicious! Made me hungry 😋
I like the idea of the two interpreters for your wedding.
You guys really did disappear huh 💔
Why
@Aced not everything is about breaking up they probably just quit making videos
@aces2046Life doesn't revolve around UA-cam, dude
Yea
Still sad there wasn’t any goodbye video
Still no word from you guys. Really hope everything's okay. Miss your videos.
Great idea to have an interpreter at the wedding but also it’s your big day and it’s all about you and your groom. So people should teach themselves if they wish to be more engaged with the wedding day.
Your love story is really insteresting and simple but also nice and sweet!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Congratulations!!!! I'm glad I tuned in. Was thinking I hadn't seen your videos lately and this was the first search result. So excited for you both to continue on your journey and celebrate this milestone with all of your loved ones.
Please come back soon, hope everything is good, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ♥️🇨🇦🌏
I used your link on Skillshare the other day and learned 400+ signs in 24 hours!!!! I’m hooked!! Thank you so much for my third language!! 💙💙💙💙
It’s great to see how you guys know how to give and take.
I wish they would post again I love their channel. Hope they are doing good!!
Hi Mary
This is my comfort channel.
Missing y’all so much rn. Hope everything is well💯
I was SO excited when I saw that this video was up this morning! I've loved watching your videos over the years and you guys are the reason I decided to learn ASL at college. Congrats on your engagement, I'm sure the wedding will be beautiful!
I think you guys will be fine what ever works also love how Java in the little intro slide so cute
Hi you guys are amazing my parents are deaf and they taught me sign language or asl and it warms my heart you guys are amazing
I miss you guys. Watching you guys is such a great memory for me. Loved watching yalls relationship and the soft and gentleness of it. Wish you guys to come backkk but probably busy from all that wedding planning I guess
Just found your channel and watched a couple of videos. What more can I say but, "Excellent". Thank you so much for sharing your story and helping to inspire others. Congratulations on your engagement and I hope to see another video sometime soon. Hope you are enjoying the next chapter of your lives together!
In their into is their saying I love you. I've been learning asl for a year now. Its always been my dream
I am currently learning ASL at my local university and am studying it as my minor. I remembered that I had followed y'all long before I was even interested in learning and could never find any of the videos! I am glad I found y'all again.
Congratulations on your wedding! I wish you all the best from Uruguay!
Lol when the end of the video says see you next time... year goes by and still nothing😂
Omg, I’m so excited for you two! What a wonderful partnership! I wish you both all the happiness in the world and so look forward to more videos (as you can fit them in of course, understanding that you’re very busy 🙂).Thank you for sharing of yourselves with us, it’s been a blessing for me.
Lovely! I love how expressive sign language is, too! Good luck on your wedding! 💖
Good luck with wedding planning and know that whatever you decide, it will be perfect for you guys!
can i ask what languages? just curious
I just discovered your channel and already miss you guys 😢 Please come back ❤

Hoping for the best for you all. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing them.
hey! i am currently taking asl 1 at my high school, and i just wanted to say that your vids are super helpful for me to watch and playback to learn and master some new signs that i haven't encountered yet! thank you so much for making these videos!
In a selfish way. I really want to see your wedding too!! I'm so happy for you! I have been a long time fan of both of you! Support and love!!!! Thankful for your videos!!!
It's been awhile since you guys posted. Can't wait to see your wedding video!
this is off topic, but i love how ur just attentively watching him as he signs without interrupting him. its so romantic
I love your channel!
Congratulations on your engagement!! Such an exciting time for you both. I hope wedding planning is an enjoyable process and everything works out beautifully without too much stress. 💕
I really miss you guys
Please come back we love you
We've missed y'all so much!🥺
I think everyone can relate to feeling pressure to keep up with other people on social media, even without huge followings.
