@@ZacRadford I always get low draws with a stinger, no matter what I try I can’t get a fade or big cut. No problem off a tee but no good to get me out of trees 😂 Whatever I do it ends up flying straight right and too high too early.
@@andygreen1677 If ball flight is a low draw then face is pointing left of path. You need to get your path going further left (further left than where your clubface is pointing). How? By rotating your shoulders and creating an almost over the top feeling. If you keep your right shoulder back (i.e. don't rotate your shoulders) then you get a path that goes to the right and if your face is closed to that path then the ball will draw. So, for you, practice a more over the top feeling to get your path way left and if you have the clubface pointing slightly right of that path then you are going to get the stinger fade.
Guys this was probably the most fruitful UA-cam golf video I've ever watched. Over tha past few years I've been trying so much to get into the right plane and making small adjustments but never saw any benefit. The concept of covering the ball has been a game changer for me. My ball striking has literally improved overnight. Plus I can now hit some low flighted shots and its epic. This has been awesome. Props to Mr Short Game for producing this content and Mr Radford for his very handy tips...

That's a beautiful shot. I wish that I knew how to hit it earlier today. I was behind two tall pine trees....too tall and too close to go over....so I went between them but hit the bottom limbs which knocked the ball down and to the left. LOL 160ish yards out. Now I'll try this and see if I can do it. Thanks Matt. Seriously, I've learned so much from your videos. Wish I could spend a day with you learning in person. Maybe one day. Not that far from you since you're here in GA!!! At least I have the videos. Thanks again.

Sometimes I manage to hit a super low stinger with my driver, not sure why but it always brings a smile to my face, every other time I try to hit a low iron it goes way left, will give this a try.
Most drivers have a convex face (round), so loft if going to be lower on the face and higher on the face. So if you hit it low on the face it wont go as high

I have literally watched hundreds of golf videos the last couple weeks. First time seeing this page. Was looking for an instructional on lower ball flight. My problem has always been hitting the ball too high. I over spin wedges. I hit drivers into the wind and they go nowhere. Now downwind look out! But this is good content

All of these tips can be applied to the bump and run chip shot or the low spinner pitch. Its basically a guide for hitting down on it and catching the ball first.

There was a guy at the range doing these with a 2 iron and yeah it looked sweet so I got a 2 iron and have only managed it a few times .i will try this technique on Monday
What do you mean to swing to the left? Swinging so that the clubhead approaches the ball from the outside of the target line to inside? Or a conscious effort to try to impact the ball with a closed clubface (i.e., try to hook it)?

I can only hit stingers with my long irons wish I could hit a normal shot so I can get more accuracy. I dont think stingers are to essential but they do get great distance.
You should do more videos with not only Zac but George Bryan both excellent golfers with great UTube Channels.
Matt, can you please teach me how to do that topped ball that jumps up and maybe goes 5 to 10 meters? It seems that I can hit it whenever I don't want it, so I think if I intentionally try do do it, I won't be able to make it, and hit the ball perfectly instead?

It'll help your game no matter how good or bad you are. Everyone could benefit from getting out of the trees time to time and it's basically the same concept.
Not that good either, but having the ball run along the ground when the driver is not working, will atleast give me a chance of keeping it in play.
@@michaelsingh843 You'd be surprised how far you can actually hit it when it gets firm and fast in the summer! I naturally hit a flat draw so I don't use it that much but it is a fun shot to hit regardless.
This and flopshots. But when I'm on the course I can't help trying either of these shots. My scorecard never likes it though.
@@jacobmccain8082 exactly, I use my 3 wood to keep it low and moving out of the woods, I'm old and dont even carry any low irons.

My lob wedge is perfect for this, just never when I want to hit one.
It’s basically a flighted wedge shot with a 4iron or stronger.
Been practicing this 1 for a while. Usually hit a snap hook. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Works with loads of less lofted clubs, I would say yes... Anything less lofted than a 7/6 iron maybe

How bout showing how to FILL THE DIVOTS after using the 10th Fairway as a driving range. NOT showing that and leaving divots for the MEMBERS to fill the next day is a horrible example to set. Show some better respect. Maybe also include one of the MOST important things to do on the course: FIX YOUR BALL MARKS!
