      Thank you for the kind words🙌 I've never experienced anything from it, it should be considered fair use with it being transformative from the original footage, like Photoshop image editing, but there is always the risk. Hope this helps!

    Great tutorial! The only part I wondered about was at the end when you exported with a 12.5 frame rate rather than finishing by bringing it back to 25.

    • @Elliano_motion

      @@Elliano_motion I think I misunderstood the part at 3:00 when you referred to doubling the 12.5 fps later in editing making it 25fps. I was thinking that meant you were going to export the final product that way.

    • @Elliano_motion
      @Elliano_motion  2 роки тому +2

      Yeah I meant the frames would just repeat from 12.5fps to 25fps if you put it into a timeline at 25fps after exported at 12.5fps. Apologies for any confusion!

    Nice stuff Elliot - just a shame one of your best known animations is Aguerro's goal for Man City v QPR (I'm a QPR fan) ;)
    Very generous of you to share your methodology :)
    I'm looking to create something like this for Bobby Zamora's winning goal in the Championship play-off final against Derby County, where 10-man Rangers had been outplayed for 89 minutes and 40 seconds, but won with our ONLY shot on target - football can be a cruel game!
    I produced a very quick and dirty GIF in a very old version of Photoshop as I can't afford a subscription to Adobe Creative Suite - are there other apps (I'm Mac-based) which will do a similar job?
    Thanks :)

    • @Elliano_motion

      Thanks mate! 🙌Really appreciate those kind words and yeah that's probably my most well known one! Oh yeah I remember that Zamora goal, cant beat the drama of the play-offs when you're not in it (Scarred for life Leeds fan here 🤣). Try blender perhaps, I know it's primarily 3d but there's now a 2d option called grease pencil, software is totally free and I'm sure you can import videos for rotoscoping. Hope this helps!

    • @Elliano_motion

  • @thatez
    @thatez 3 роки тому

    not to be rude but you can simply use after effects' automatic rotoscope which has been updated a few months ago and is absolutely superb. duplicate the video layer as many times as individual parts you have for rotoscoping and when you rotoscope each of them - just apply a fill effect and change color. literally 30 minutes(for first time doers) for the same animation as you saw in this video.

    • @Elliano_motion
      @Elliano_motion  3 роки тому +2

      Oh really? Guess I'll have to make an update video at some point after looking into it. Always found doing rotoscoping in after effects more difficult but cheers to the tip!

    • @thatez
      @thatez 3 роки тому

      @@Elliano_motion now that I think about it again, AE does too good of a job rotoscoping so it might bring super realism to the animation and therefore remove this frame-by-frame style. so yep, you should still go to each individual frame and do some changes in order to add the human element(faking it being drawn by a human). But regardless, you should give AE a try not only for this project but in general(assuming you don't really use it often as you mentioned it being more difficult)

    • @Elliano_motion
      @Elliano_motion  3 роки тому

      Oh don't get me wrong, I'm used to using after effects, I use it nearly every day haha! Just never particularly enjoyed using the rotoscoping tools available when I first started many years ago. But I think using that method mixed with some other effects could achieve the same ISH look as using animate in this tutorial. So again, thanks for the tip!
